Grace Day

Open Your Bible

Job 38:16-18

Use this day to pray, rest, and reflect on this week’s reading. Each Saturday, we will read a section from God’s response to Job in chapter 38.

“Have you traveled to the sources of the sea
or walked in the depths of the oceans?
Have the gates of death been revealed to you?
Have you seen the gates of deep darkness?
Have you comprehended the extent of the earth?
Tell me, if you know all this.”

—Job 38:16–18

I very much lost the wonder of God. This verse is a good reminder of how big God is and how much He’s in the details as well.

  6. Steph C says:

“Have you comprehended the extent of the earth?” I have traveled a lot, but I have not seen the whole earth. God not only sees it all, He created it all out of nothing. He understands what makes the earth “work”. Plants, animals, seasons, etc. And He sees and knows all the people that live on the earth … and all that have EVER lived on the earth. These things are simple to Him but they are far beyond my comprehension. And yet I think to question His ways and His judgement. I prayed this morning that God would let me stand in awe of Him and worship Him this morning. And wow, here it is ❤️

My husband ls an entrepreneur and lost his only account a few weeks ago. We went from making well into 6 figures to ZERO. We have about six weeks of savings until we have nothing, BUT I know God will provide. Job’s relentless faith ( I’ve decided it should be called The FAITH of Job instead of patience ;) has been so inspiring to me and I know we will prevail with God’s leading hand. So glad I found this bible study!❤️
