I needed to read this today. It’s so easy to be at the wrong place or withdraw and face temptation and sin like David. I love that He will always be there before during and after to help and forgive me. Glory be to our merciful God!!!

If David, who loved and worshipped God so well, could have a heart and spirit filled with lust and murder, than no one is immune, and this prayer is as important for me today as it was for him and for Israel then. Good for me to note also that David didn’t hesitate to turn to God nor think himself too far gone.

It is refreshing to think of renewal. Everything around us is (according to Mark 13:31), passing away. “Heaven and earth shall pass away but my words will not pass away.” I love the thought of holding onto the eternal while living in a world that is temporary. To be able to ask The LORD for the restoration of a heart cleansed from all that can make it dirty here on soil and to renew my spirit making it “right” (51:10 KJV) and “steadfast” places me in an eternal heavenly mindset that reminds me that I am seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 1:3; 2:6) where all things are made “new” in Him while being right here on earth! Thanksgiving and Glory to God for His renewing!

This verse brings back childhood memories as we sang it in church most Sundays. So glad for Grace day as about two days. Lots to do today, but will have time to sit, rest and catch up. Off to a run, a very short run before the heat today. My sisters have a blessed day!

Yes! I needed this verse today, and everyday. Lord, I pray my sights and my desires are set on you. That my motives would be pure. Thank you, God, for your unfailing love and mercy.

I’ve just finished catching up on some of the readings for this week. My heart is humbled and filled with love. Thank you Lord that your mercy are indeed new every morning. Although my heart is prone to wander, your covenant keeping love is steadfast. Oh that I would believe you more and trust. Thank you for being our redeemer, that you can make all things new it anytime and that you were faithfully working in our lives each day. You are worthy of our praise and our honor!!

Yes please. A pure heart committed to You. And daily faithfulness in reading Your Word. And when I slip, when I’ve fallen, may I reach up and take Your extended hand. Set me back on solid ground. Thank you, Jesus. Let’s go.
