Day 27

Grace Day

Hebrews 9:11-12

BY She Reads Truth

Take this day to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord.

But Christ has appeared as a high priest of the good things that have come. In the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands (that is, not of this creation), he entered the most holy place once for all time, not by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption.
—Hebrews 9:11–12

Praying for each of my sisters here, spoken and unspoken needs – what a blessing to study, pray and praise with each of you ❤️

HEIDI – beautiful commentary today! Much to think about and remember, also brought to mind that Christ will again change things in an instant at His 2nd coming.

KELLY (NEO) – thank you for sharing St Patrick’s prayer

    MARI V – praising the court’s decision

CEE GEE – love that song, and thank you for comment on long term commitment to the Lord

TRACI GENDRON – I say that (Don’t do that!) also many times when reading about these kings and children of Israel. Good reminder to myself – that I would recognize the need to stop and regroup my thoughts and actions.

FOSTER MAMA – I’m late in reading yesterday’s comments, hope things went well. Praying for guidance in communications and early study times ;)

RHONDA J – praying for speedy recovery! And I hear you on being snarky. I try to remind myself to take a deep breath, keep my mouth shut and remember that the situation won’t even be remembered next week, month or year – but my not so nice words likely will be. It’s not easy but I’m trying to break a nearly lifetime habit (stayed in trouble for it growing up )

TINA – Amen! Love you! ❤️

    Praying for –
SHARON JONES – wisdom in these circumstances
SARAH D – for new job and seeing the joy til then
MICHELLE PATIRE – for you and your siblings
REBECCA W – Brett, and safe travels
LYNNE FROM AL – you and Jack, you are often on my mind
JENNIFER ANAPOL – health and sleep for baby and you
CATHERINE MCVEY – I am so sorry to hear that news. Praying for Marsha and all that love her
ALLY M – peace, strength and comfort
NANCY S – praying for you and your husband through this valley.

  2. Lynne from Alabama says:

Nancy S— I am praying for you dear sister as you walk this difficult road. Try to take care of yourself and let yourself grieve as you need too. Jack had recently been diagnosed with dementia on top of his lymphoma and his ostomy. I definitely feel your pain and sadness.

  3. Rhonda J. says:

    Good Morning She’s

Meditate on the opening lines of this Brandon Lake song “Fear is Not My Future.”

    Let Him turn it
    In your favor
    Watch Him work it
    For your good
    He’s not done
    With what He’s started
    He’s not done
    Until it’s good…

Give your sorrow, affliction, anxiety and fear to OUR Lord. He went to the cross for it all so we could live in peace, love, and joy. I want that in times of trouble. Tribulation will come, oh be ready for it… But God- in HIS goodness, he surrounds and protects us, and gives us what we need. I am praying for a healed bone in my foot by Tuesday! I believe for it. Come Lord, come. Show me your Glory. BUT God, he knows what I need, even if I don’t want it. I will use my circumstances to learn and grow. My husband says I am not nice. Can I change his mind or am I going to fight back and be more snarky. hmmm. So hard to turn the other cheek and remove ourselves from our fleshly ways. I don’t want to live in snarkiness, although it has been my friend for a long time. I think it is kinda funny, but no. It is not. It creates division between us.
Holy Spirit help me where I am stubborn. Help me be loving and kind when I don’t feel loving and kind. Help me to stay in this place God is growing me, and trying to bring goodness. Your Spirit can produce the fruit you desire. Amen.

  4. Cee Gee says:

“…by HIS OWN blood, having obtained ETERNAL REDEMPTION!” Hallelujah! I am so grateful to Jesus and to each of you ladies who bless my life each day.

HEIDI, thanks for sharing your studies with us! It is great to see you back!

Agreeing in prayer for all needs and thanking God for you ladies who repost names/needs to keep us on task! What mighty prayer warriors you are! Reminds me of ANGIE (school teacher) and how I miss her.

TINA, glad to see you this morning and thanks for the Irish Blessing! I used to have a copy of that and need to make a new one. Glad you liked the song! Sharing another today:

    All my words fall short
    I got nothing new
    How could I express
    All my gratitude?
    I could sing these songs
    As I often do
    But every song must end
    And You never do
So I throw up my hands
And praise You again and again
‘Cause all that I have is a hallelujah
    Hallelujah
And I know it’s not much
But I’ve nothing else fit for a King
Except for a heart singing hallelujah
    Hallelujah
    I’ve got one response
    I’ve got just one move
    With my arm stretched wide
    I will worship You
So I throw up my hands
And praise You again and again
‘Cause all that I have is a hallelujah
    Hallelujah
And I know it’s not much
But I’ve nothing else fit for a King
Except for a heart singing hallelujah
    Hallelujah
    So come on, my soul
Oh, don’t you get shy on me
    Lift up your song
‘Cause you’ve got a lion inside of those lungs
Get up and praise the Lord
    Oh come on, my soul
Oh, don’t you get shy on me
    Lift up your song
‘Cause you’ve got a lion inside of those lungs
Get up and praise the Lord
    Come on, my soul
Oh, don’t you get shy on me
    Lift up your song
‘Cause you’ve got a lion inside of those lungs
Get up and praise the Lord, hey
    Praise the Lord
    Praise the Lord
    Praise the Lord
So I throw up my hands
    Praise You again and again
‘Cause all that I have is a hallelujah
    Hallelujah
And I know it’s not much
But I’ve nothing else fit for a King
Except for a heart singing hallelujah
    Hallelujah

    Happy Saturday, precious Shes!

I keep part of St. Patrick’s praying as the wallpaper on my laptop…For those of you who missed it, our sweet sister @ KELLY (NEO) posted it yesterday…worth going back.. Lovely!!

Thank you @ MERCY and all those who prayed for me yesterday. The Lord gave me great favour and I mostly managed to keep my very large foot out of my mouth — can only come with prayer!! :)

Wishing each of you a most blessed weekend of rejuvenation, rehabilitation, restoration, …. whatever other “r” you need! ♥️

  6. Heidi says:

παραγενόμενος – it means “to arrive”… it’s the word used to describe the action in verse 11 – It’s when Christ arrived, he came on the scene, he changed everything in a matter of an instant. That provoked such emotion in me this morning! It made me think of a movie where all is dark, it seems all is lost, there is no help or chance of rescue in sight…. and then – CHRIST ARRIVED. The Hero steps in without a hint of worry or even the slightest thought that the enemy will prevail.
Christ arrived…and everything past, present, and future changed forever. Life would and will never be the same because the Hope of the world stepped in to save His people and defeat the enemy once and for all time. Our circumstances today may be amazing, or, they may be in anguish but one thing is true – Our God, our Savior is GOOD and is making ALL things new. His mercies this morning for you are many and new, His grace this morning is perfectly sufficient for all you will need today. He sees and He cares and He loves beyond measure… Grateful doesn’t even begin to describe my heart for Him today.
You are so blessed, friends – WE are so blessed! I pray we take the blessings we already have and with grateful hearts graciously lavish them on others in our lives; especially focusing on the ones who, LIKE US, don’t deserve it one tiny bit! Be the Light to them! :)

  7. Ally M says:

Hi ladies, I had a bad panic attack last night and am still feeling very shaken and anxious. I would really appreciate prayers for peace, strength, and comfort. ♡ Thank you so much for caring about me. I will continue to pray for you!

  8. Nancy S says:

Please pray with me for patience, grace & strength in caring for my husband in the early stages of Alzheimers. I know this will be a long, hard journey, & I need the Lord to carry us both through. I’m praying for daily strength & peace, & am thankful for our 43 year marriage that keeps us committed to walking this road together with much love. Thanks in advance, sisters.
