Scripture Reading: Deuteronomy 32:3-4, Psalm 146:5-9, Romans 2:1-11, Hebrews 1:8-9, Philippians 3:8-9, 1 John 2:29
We ache for justice when we experience the ramifications of sin, both on a personal and a systemic scale. When someone or something we love is violated, wounded, or broken, we don’t respond with indifference—we cry out, demanding accountability. If we, with our limited perspective, are so affected by injustice, how much more does God demand justice when His standard of what is good is not upheld?
God loves more deeply and thoroughly than we could ever imagine. His righteousness and justice, which go hand-in-hand with each other, attest to His love as He acts against evil and in defense of what is good. When proclaiming Himself to Moses, God said that He is “a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and abounding in faithful love and truth, maintaining faithful love to a thousand generations, forgiving iniquity, rebellion, and sin. But…will not leave the guilty unpunished” (Exodus 34:6–7).
Unlike what we experience from one another on earth, God is not faulty or vindictive. His righteousness is perfect because He is all-knowing, holy, and infinite. He is “faithful forever, executing justice for the exploited,” even when our lives are not long enough to see it (Psalm 146:6–7). In His righteousness, He is morally perfect. He does not overlook sin, nor does He demand more than what is just. His righteousness can and should be cause for celebration, a source of immense comfort in a world where earthly justice falls short.
This is good news because we are not only victims of sin and injustice, we are also perpetrators. Our unrighteousness is why Christ gave His life on the cross—in His sacrifice, we find forgiveness through His own righteousness. And “if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1John 1:9). Jesus has been given the right to pass judgment, and He gives life to those who hear His Word and believe it (John 5:24). Our just Judge is also our Savior. He alone can mend the brokenhearted and offer hope to the unrighteous.

Amen! I just prayed a big impossible prayer for people needing miracles and even for my husband’s and my healings. You sharing this is God’s wink to me! A confirmation that God is working!
Reading these verses, I kept circling back to this one line from Deuteronomy “All His ways are just.” All. Not some. Not most. All. That’s wild to think about. It means I can trust Him, even when I don’t understand what He’s doing. It means when things around me feel unfair or unjust, He sees. And He’s not passive. He is moved. And He will act…in His time, in His way, and always righteously.
Andrew is recovering from the stent and came home last night from the hospital. It went well. His big sister’s Beauty and the Beast show is tonight; praying he stays well today and everyone can attend.
Thank you to Kelly (Neo), Searching, Teresa, Tara B, Jane K, Wendy B – and everyone else praying – I know I don’t always respond but still pray!
Continuing prayers!
Thank you Lord!
Praying for your requests She’s.
❤️
Amen. Thank You Father God!

Jesus offers hope to the unrighteous. So many in this world are without hope. Oh may they know the riches of His mercy, love and grace. This is my prayer for my two sons. That they will know of His love for them. I love that Paul includes Romans 2:4 in his letter to the believers in Rome – “…not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance..”
—
I grew up being taught that God “beat you” into His kingdom, that He constantly judged and punished. But God – but this scripture! God shows the riches of His kindness, His forbearance, His patience, to the lost so that they are drawn to Him by His love.
—
I see the evidence of it in my son’s lives – God is so good to them. My daily prayer is that they will one day acknowledge His goodness and surrender all to Him.

Have a blessed Thursday She’s! Praying for all your requests.
Sharon, I’m joining you in prayer for your sons
Thank you Teresa!❤️
He is faithful forever………
Today is National Day of Prayer! I am SO thankful that we have seen a revival of prayer! It should never be taken for granted! God is RIGHTEOUS and he is Worthy of all our Praise! He is just, and although the world is not- He is in control of EVERY thing and it will be made right. That gives me such peace, where it could not be attained any other way. Though I am a “half-full” and a “nice” person…I am not righteous except in Christ, and that’s how I want to be known.
But even so, I will be misjudged and attacked. I will fail, I will follow my flesh, I will be stiff-necked and forgetful. But God, through his son forgives his repenting children, I am clothed now in his righteousness. Lord keep me in your perfect, right love-
I had quite the fender-bender yesterday. I was supposed to lead at jail ministry but instead was detained waiting for non-emergency assistance. It was frustrating, but the guys that were in the truck, that I hit their trailer pulled behind, were so nice! It could have been worse. I prayed and thanked God that my car was still drivable and I wasn’t hurt. I do have a terrible migraine, praying it goes away.
Prayers for Donna today, for your implants. I pray you will feel relief from the pain! I know what it is like.
Prayers for our nation today, the world, and all of you beautiful She’s.
Oh my, praying for the migraine and things to be okay. Scary! Big hugs sister.
Thank you! (heart)
Praying for you Rhonda and so thankful that you’re okay and the car still driveable! As a fellow
migraine sufferer I pray the
episode will be short lived and that you’ll feel better soo❤️
Thank you, appreciate that! And for the prayers! My back pain is bad, but a migraine…Ugh! Luckily it is less now!
Rhonda, so thankful you’re okay. And praying for relief from the migraine.
Praying for relief from pain and stress over this Rhonda!
Praying for relief from migraine
When I read God is righteous, my first thought is, I’m so glad someone is and that He holds the standard of what that truly is because this world is so lost and broken. But, also the lines can get blurry of what true righteous ness is and when we are wronged or see egregious wrong we can also forget that God is about grace and mercy. Lots to unpack here as this is brought to mind.
Thank you Lord that you are perfectly righteous; that all that is broken, hurt, wrong and lost will be made right and renewed. That you Lord are just, merciful and gracious. Thank you Lord that you hold it all and continue to work in my life to pursue and uphold these things, to see through the lense of your Truth and character and trust that you are just even when things feel wrong and unfair. Guide my heart, Lord. Amen
Yes, Amen!

In Jewish tradition, upon learning some has passed we say,”Baruch Dayan HaEmet.” This means,”Blessed be God,the righteous Judge.”
Because G-d is omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent, loving, and everything we are not He truly is the righteous judge.
Rabbi Marcia Prager teaches that one answer can be found in the very letters of the blessing — specifically the Hebrew word אמת / emet, truth. The letters of the Hebrew word for “truth” are aleph, mem, and taf — the first letter of the alef-bet, the middle letter, and the last letter. What is true of every life? Every journey has a beginning, a middle, and an end.
G-d is with us through every step of that journey. We bless him even in our sorrow.Nothing happens apart from Him.
Thank you for sharing that.❤️
❤️
Thank you for sharing! Continuing prayers for a great new job.
Tanya, I love your insights on Jewish teachings and Hebrew words. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
Agreeing with Teresa – thank you, Tanya
Heart stopping beautiful, Dear Tanya…
That helps bring it into perspective Tina. I love the righteousness of God! It has always been one of my favorite attributes because we live in such a twisted world but our God is righteousness and he will make it everything right one day. ❤️
I may have missed it, but I have been wondering about your husband. I’ve been praying for you both. How is he?
Ouch. We want justice when someone hurts us and mercy when we hurt another. Lord, I want Your love and mercy and strength to act and walk in righteousness..I want to walk and talk and act and love like You!
Yes, as KELLY (NEO) said, I want mercy and grace for myself, always. But for the guilty, or should I say the Other Guilty, I don’t always want that for them or at least not right away. Oh, the shame of that thinking. I’ll for sure be rereading today’s passage from Romans.

I’m having electrodes implanted on my spine. Thank you sisters and blessings for all.
Praying, Donna!
Have prayed, Donna
❤️❤️❤️
Praying!!!
Donna, I’m praying all went well, and you receive complete relief from pain.
I think what is hard about knowing that God “will not leave the guilty unpunished” (Ex. 34:7) is I want to see that happen for the injustice I see in this world, but want mercy and grace for the injustice I perpetrate.
.
So thankful that when God sees me, He sees Jesus’ righteousness now that I am in Christ.
.
RHONDA & SUSAN – thanks for the updates.
.
DONNA WOLCOTT – praying all goes well today with the electrodes being implanted.
.
Praying for your requests, dear Shes.
In agreement, sister. ❤️
You got that right! So well said! Thank you❤️
God will not leave the guilty unpunished, but remember—he bore our punishment in his own body on the cross, so great is his love and mercy. ❤️
❤️
Amen
OMG!
.
I looked up righteousness, and the list, well..
Goodness.
Virtuousness.
Uprightness.
Decency.
Integrity.
Worthiness.
Justice.
Blamelessness.
Guiltlessness.
Purity.
Piousness.
Honesty.
And the list goes on in a scary way, because I can only claim a few of these, and then, only in part, as I am nowhere near that kind of goodness.. that kind of innocence, honourablity..
.
BUT GOD..
.
Dear, wonderful GOD..
.
He carries these qualities with ease, because He is above reproach in every sense of the word.. There is no fault, NONE, in His character, or who He is..or how He feels about us.. He is the same as He was in the days of old, as in the days of my ancestors as He is today, and without a doubt, He will be the same in generations to come! He will be as righteous as He has always been..
.
Happy am I whose help is the God of Jacob, the God of my great grandparents, the God of my father, now mine.
.
My hope is in the LORD, my father’s GOD, the Maker of Heaven and the earth I live in,
.
He remains faithful forever, executing justice for the exploited and giving food, spiritual and physically to the hungry.
.
He frees the prisoners, those in bondage, those in turmoil, those held captive to the lies,
.
He opens the eyes of the blind, to see His goodness, grace and mercy,
.
He raises up those who are oppressed, enslaved, persecuted,
.
He loves the righteous..
.
LORD GOD, help me to do right, so YOU can be proud of me..
In Jesus’s name I pray with gratitude for the never changing love you have for me each day.. Thank you Father God, thank you!
.
AMEN..
.
Many, much, much blessings dear hearts..
.
Happy Thursday with love..❤❤
100% Amen, Tina
And so that we may reflect God to the nations (our neighbor, co-worker, family…) seems to be a recurring theme, Ladies. While we will never be perfect, like God; we should be able to shine a little of His light so that others will see Him in us and glorify Him…..
Whew, Tina, that list!
Bowing my head, and praising my God, the only God.
Amen. Thank you for this list Tina and your thoughts
❤️
Amen. Thank you Tina ❤️
I am nowhere near it, either! ❤️ I try, but…
Thank you Tina! ❤️
