Scripture Reading: Luke 7:34-48, Acts 2:42-47, Romans 14:13-23, 1 Corinthians 12:12-26, 2 Corinthians 6:14-18, Hebrews 10:24-25
A few years ago, I was in a worship service at a church my friend pastors. We were singing one of my favorite songs when the worship leader paused in the middle of the song and spoke about the importance of community in the Christian life. He read a few verses of Scripture that highlight the emphasis of living the Christian life as a people, not as individuals.
What he did next is the reason I remember this moment. The song we were singing had a lot of first-person singular language in it. “I love you, Lord.” He asked us to change every instance of first-person singular into first-person plural. “We love you, Lord.” What struck me was how this shifted the way I thought about myself and everyone else in the room. It was a simple but palpable reminder that while our discipleship to Jesus is personal, it is not private.
The passages in our reading today have that kind of effect on me with respect to spiritual disciplines. When I think of prayer, study, fasting, and the practices of faith in general, I naturally think of them as what I do all alone with God. Those images and habits are very first-person singular. Like many of you, I am following Jesus in a cultural moment that often values individualism over others-centered community. All this to say: I needed this reminder from the scriptures today.
You’ve probably noticed how many of these passages focus on how to have healthy fellowship. Paul wrote, “Therefore, let us no longer judge one another. Instead decide never to put a stumbling block or pitfall in the way of your brother or sister” (Romans 14:13).
God’s Word does not pretend that life together is easy or free of conflict. Any time a group of humans gather, they bring their sinful hearts with them—hearts that want credit or preference, hearts that are quick to judge or to be uncharitable. This is part of what makes fellowship a discipline. It is one of the ways God uses His Church to make us look more like Jesus. When I just sing the “I” and I don’t think about the “we,” my selfishness, pride, and self-conceit can go unconfronted and create fertile soil for sin to grow in my heart. By God’s design, those can be starved when we fellowship with one another around the table of God’s goodness and grace.
Fellowship does not just confront our sin and selfishness; it also magnifies the beauty of God’s work in our lives. Imagine how differently Acts 2:42–47 would feel if it was just describing an individual Christian! The real beauty is in the life of the community. There is something of the goodness of God and the work of the gospel that we only experience when we are together.
Join me in praying that God would give us hearts that faithfully pursue the “we” in our life together with Jesus.

I am so discouraged. I have been Begging God for an authentic loving group of Christian women to connect with for years. I struggle to be in community because I have been so hurt and wounded that letting people in feels impossible especially after rejection after rejection. I struggle with cptsd and major depression and I’m so misunderstood. I live in a very rural area and I don’t have options for churches. Nobody is interested in doing life outside of church and it hurts to see others connecting and being on the outside not invited in. I need community so badly but don’t know how to get it and trust that I’m safe and loved and belong in it when it comes. Please pray for me. I’m a married mom of 3 and we need people to do life with . I don’t even have fellowship with my husband because he isn’t walking with God.’I’m so lonely and I’m so disheartened. I don’t see how things will ever be ok.
Praying for you, Faith.
PRAYING FOR YOU. God is always with you. I as well Live in the middle of no where out in the country of Oklahoma. God told me to start a Bible study and that I need to go preaching to people around me and get them saved and then do a Bible study and me one neighbor and he told me go buy the ADVENT Bible study SRT.
and do it with he at a y of Chrit alone. I SAID
Praying for you, Faith
Praying for you Faith. I am so sorry that you are in this season of hardship and as much as it feels lonely, I believe and know that God is with you through it and working behind the scenes where you can’t see yet. I also want to recommend you a book called “Hinds feet in High places.” My dear mentor gifted me this book while going through a tragic time where I lost my community and most friends for various reasons as well. I hope it encourages you and gives you hope!
Having a safe community of believers was my deepest prayer after a divorce that shattered virtually every relationship I had. God has faithfully brought me into a beautiful group of believers that challenge me to go beyond my comfort zone and be vulnerable again. It’s so hard for me to “need” but I’m learning. I’m so thankful for the invitation from the Lord to live my life alongside other believers.

So good! I have been challenged to pray the Lord’s Prayer, daily, focusing on the “our Father” part. Especially when I’m in conflict with others. Helps to overcome selfishness, just like the devo says!
Amen♡ We are in fellowship together ❤️
Amen
Community is so important for us as believers in Christ, because community holds us accountable when we make mistakes and brings us closer to God our Father in heaven. WE as a community of believers can MOVE mountains and strengthen our faith in God❤️✨
Amen
Lord, thank you for the blessing of community and the reminder that we are not alone. You did not choose us singularly but as a body of people. Although you made each of us unique with a purpose, together as a community WE can move mountains for God, through His will, and centered on making the WE as large as possible. Amen.

Struggled last year to commit to my life group, life just got in the way. I had already planned to commit and be more intentional with my time. This has given me solid encouragement of how I need that fellowship in my life.
We gather here today and everyday in our She’s community to praise God and share our stories, thoughts, needs, and more so that other She’s can hear us, pray with us, talk to us, guide us, and sometimes just be with us. I usually just read but I felt the need to share. Have a great evening ladies!

This passage today made me so happy that I am in two amazing life groups.!

Wonderful❤️
I need to be in a community of in person believers. I go to church and and part of that community, but I really need to be in a small group. There really aren’t that many of them around here, especially when I work the night shift. Lol. I need to pray about that and maybe the Lord will be leading me to have a small group.
Yes!! There you go!! My first one remember was at Panera! It’s nice to sit outside, have coffee with ladies and talk about the Lord and what he is doing in your lives!! SO many good studies to choose from! And you are just the facilitator, which most studies guide you in that! I started that way and have done/led too many to count! But usually its what YOU need that leads you to create it! I wanted a Sat morn group, and I wanted a pain group.
Tricia, do it!❤️
I see a therapist every week. I’m truly trying to get my life together! A lot of our discussion is around my faith, my inability to forgive myself, and my deep depression. Almost every week, I end up quoting to him something that has been shared by one of our SRT sisters that has hit me particularly where I live. This week, I will be sharing some of the comments about what a close community, close fellowship SRT is. Thank you, sisters, for being the fellowship of close Believers I need. I love you all. ❤️
(heart). But it did hurt my heart a little that you feel unable to forgive yourself. You would be lecturing me my friend if I or one of us She’s said that- because YOU KNOW there is no condemnation in Jesus! We are fully forgiven and free, and that means you can forgive yourself.
You have been saying for a long time you want to start attention church again. You just got to make your plan of where to go and try, and go to 3 or 4..
Will your husband go to? I went without my husband b/c it was important to me. The devil would every week get us disconnected where he wouldn’t be talking, so after a few months of that, I just went myself. Then the one I liked, we watched online the following week, and I prayed in my head…Lord make this work. My husband loved the preacher and that was 5 years ago that we have attended (and joined and served as greeters!) I love to talk, he likes to leave after service…so we drive separate every once in awhile so I can stay and talk! (shocker, huh?! hahahah)
Love you friend!! Praying you go to church this Sunday!! A lot of churches start small groups in the FAll, so I highly suggest joining one so you can meet some ladies that way!!
I love you. sweet sister. I’m typing this through tears right now, regarding your words about forgiving myself. Somehow, I can offer grace to others that I can’t offer to myself.
My husband will probably go if I go. It always has to be my decision and me saying we’ll go. It would be nice to have a husband who is the spiritual lead in our home, but that’s not what I have.
Oh I so agree about the husband! I was going to add that in but I feel like I’m talking too much! (get it?…by all my comments in the last 5 minutes!!)
But it’s the same in my house, it all is dependent on me, if I get ready or not. I have told him many times that he is the Spiritual leader of the household! I want him to say- get ready woman we are going!
I feel like I carry us which is somewhat disappointing, BUT I have seen him grow just watching my growth. He has only done a men’s group once, and he loved it. That is a whole nutha Convo. (Men NEED to talk and sort through life with other men of faith!!) But has not done one since. It would really help the atmosphere here at home.
You know our church does a freedom group! That is what is helpful when you are holding on to stuff like that. We also have a 2 day freedom conference twice a year. Christians hold on to things more than we care to admit…but he grants freedom from that. Forgive yourself friend, laying it at Jesus feet, never to pick up again! You are not your past!! You are sanctified and new in Him! hugs!
❤️
We love you Lord!!
Amen! ❤
We had a facetime call with a friend and his wife this morning. He is a pastor. He knows I have felt alone in my walk with God. The devotional was spot on with our conversation. I love when that happens!
He was saying that the church is the people not the building. He was asking what I look for in a church. I told him sound Biblical teaching, community, and light (not a dark theater setting). I feel so blessed to have him and his wife as a friend and mentor.
And when I say alone, I mean in person. You all never make me feel alone!
I feel alone too, Traci. But not here.
❤❤❤
TRACI- a note on the ‘dark theater setting”. A church I was watching online had that dark look. I recently saw a video that showed “what the camera shows” and “what we see”. Camera shoeed darkness, but the leopke were actually in light. I figure they’re using a filter to either create drama OR maybe to offer some privacy for the congregants. Just thought I’d mention that in case you are seeing that online. You are younger and savvier than I am so that may not be news to you, but it was an aha moment for this old lady. lol
Oh that makes sense…I always wondered why it looks so dark online as opposed to when I’m there. I actually like a little lower light because it helps me block all around me and get in a worship posture. In a small town church I feel like everyone is watching what everyone is doing. Now..I just sit up closer (even the front row) because I want to praise with abandonment and not see the people in front of me. Now when I go to my home church and its all lit up it feels weird! lol. So maybe it’s what you get used to! Glad there are options for everyone!!
Hello Shes
As our own Tina wisely & wonderfully proclaimed…the SRT community is a fierce & free will fellowship…a stronghold of sisterhood…a body of believers…joined together by Jesus!
As we read, reflect, & respond to shared scripture. Women in the Word. Woven together. Wearing our hearts on our sleeves. From different points in life. From different points on the map. From different points of view. Yet, and yet…
We are His Church!
We are committed.
We are connected.
Such faith.
Such friendship.
Thanks be to God!
Perfectly said! ❤️
❤️
Thanks be to God!❤️
Felt so convicted to be in the word more in general but also with other believers. I’m going to join a community Bible study our church hosts and I’m going to commit to doing these daily again! Thankful for this resource!
Amen! ❤️
This summer I attended my Christian campgrounds annual Camp Meeting in CT. We are from more than 20 Christian backgrounds and faith traditions. Imagine the sharing and sometimes challenges. This year’s theme was, “Love in any Language”. We looked at scriture and shared how it was written in our different bibles. We held workshops to discuss what it looks like in our homes, churches, neighborhood etc. We sang, had vespers at night, bible study in the morning, an all age olympics (fun and funny), a book study on the book, “The Hiding Place”; talk about love in action! The theme was so needed in this broken time in this country. I love the change of “I” to “we”. Blessings.
Wow! I want to go to your camp!
I love this! Sounds wonderful!
I love this..❤️
Thank you, Jamin for this beautiful devo! Oh, that’s a very special song to me, too! ☺

ISOLATION is a practiced tactic of one who wants to control another person. In this case I would say if we allow ourselves to ISOLATE in our faith, we are giving satan a foothold to create doubt or at the very least, we will not grow in our faith as God intends. Speaking from experience years ago.

Love, hugs, and prayers! ❤
I never thought of this before. Thank you CeeGee.
❤❤❤ Most welcome, Traci!
Yes, the devil loves when we isolate. We talk about that in Chronic Pain group…because it is so easy to stay home. But we need to gather…ESPECIALLY when we feel weak or wounded..,isn’t that how the lion gets his prey, picks the wounded, to edify and protect each other!!
We also talked about at jail..that they need each other, that together they are more able to change the atmosphere of the pod. This lets the LIGHT shine brighter with all their individual ones combined! They also need each other to build one another up, sharpen, and pray with.
❤
That’s deep. Traci. And gives me a lot to think about in my absence of a church home and family. So thankful for you and all my SRT sisters.
❤
❤️❤️
Community is so important! In a small group of people, it’s easier to share what’s going on in our life, our struggles. We can hold each other up in prayer and just being there for others! We water each other’s gardens!
Amen, Cheryl! ❤
I LOVE that “we water each others gardens!” Now..who’s gonna pull the weeds?!
Maybe those same friends?! The devil loves the weeds and they can choke us out! That why we have to tend to the garden!!
I love the way you put this.. we water each others gardens. ❤️
We are looking to find a church that my husband and I feel comfortable in and that my kids thrive in. God is pressing on me to be apart of a church community again and I am praying that he guides us to a church that helps all of us grow in our faith
Praying with you, Stephanie! We have multiole small fpgrouos at our church. They are a great way to gather, too! ❤
I’m looking for the same thing, Stephanie (although I dont have young kids) I pray that we both find the church where God wants us to serve and be served.
Joining you and Stephanie as you look for a church to be a part of to serve and feel served ❤️
Amen! It is so vital for young families!!! So glad you feel convicted! Go! And don’t let anything stop you!!
I always been a “people person” I love people. Friends. Family. I can’t imagine life without them especially when we really need someone to lean on (Jesus with skin) or simply a “listening ear” We were made for community. Reminds in Genesis when God said, “It is not good for man to be alone.” Yesterday I experienced just that! I needed to have someone else drop off some important docs and it couldn’t be me. I knew who to call and she said YES immediately! This friend will also be accompanying me to court on Tuesday. Yep, another court date regarding some unresolved issues that should have already been resolved. And I was thrown another curve ball, BUT GOD! I know my JESUS goes before me! Praying for God’s favor.
Happy Wednesday sweet She’s. So far so good these beginning days with a whole new batch of TK students. Wish you could see how cute they are!
❤❤❤
Praying for things to be resolved in court on Tuesday, Mari. I’m sorry you have to continually deal with this.
Same!
❤️❤️❤️
I so appreciated todays readings in scripture and devotional. I love this study. A number of years ago we did a similar study one January, starting the year of with this theme – it may have been called Spiritual Practices? It was refered to in this weeks podcast, (which is great by the way) and it was one of my very favorite studies.
I am grateful for this community of SRT sisters and all that it offers.I have been a part of this community for many years and this space and you ladies have been such an important part of my day, my faith journey and spiritual growth, a greater understanding of scripture and support in many ways. There is insight, wisdom and challenge as we study; support, encouragement and prayer. Its so valuable and it would be amazing to meet face to face. However, I do think its important to remember that we don’t meet face to face, and we are truly made to have that connection. To be in felliwship with others face to face is so important. I am grateful that I do have a church community and a small group that I am part of. I know that’s not always easy for people to find, or there is reasons why its challenging and I don’t want to dismiss that, but there is so much that we gain from in person connection. Its corporate worship and lifting voices together. Its hearing the Word preached and a collective amen or response. Its being invited for prayer or to join in and physically gather around arm in arm a hurting family or sister in prayer. Its sitting around a table, coffee in hand digging in scripture and talking back and forth. Its brining dinner over to a new Momma and her family. Its serving in ways that support the ministires present in our church. These connections and opportunties are only possible when we open ourselves up to being a part of the community that is local to us. Todays reading on Fellowship just really affirmed the importance of all of this. May we all be blessed, encouraged and challenged to seek out authentic fellowship and community.
Praying for the requests shared. Have a great day♥️
Yes, you actually brought up another good point-
Church is so important when you go through hard times- they bring you food, pray for you, and support you in so many ways.
I saw this played out with the death of my niece when they brought food every day for us, prayed for us, and held us while we cried. They were amazing my sister’s church family.
❤️❤️❤️
Our church has many small groups that meet at different times. There is even a zoom one. Maybe you can find one? That way you don’t have to leave your home but can still fellowship.
This was supposed to be a reply to TAMI C.
Thanks Leanna! I’ll have to look into that.
Catching up on yesterdays reading. What a great analogy Erin gave between savoring a delicious, costly steak with the precious Word of God. This really made me pause to ponder…
“The inspired, infallible, immutable Word of God is a five-star filet mignon, not a drive-thru hamburger. Let the taste of it linger long on your tongue today.”
Indeed, we are all busy, but what is our purpose for being – if not to fear God and keep His commandments, and the only way to keep them is to know them by being in and savoring the Word each day.

From today’s reading…
“The real beauty is in the life of the community. There is something of the goodness of God and the work of the gospel that we only experience when we are together.”
Jamin nailed it when he made this statement. The body of Christ is a beautiful thing. Flawed, not perfect – but beautiful.
.
I know there are a number of my sisters here who are not part of a physical church body. I’m also aware that some of you have suffered hurt and disappointment from the church. But the truth is, we need each other. I need you, and you need me. That is how we grow. We were made for fellowship. Hebrews 10:24-25 isn’t a suggestion, it’s a command. It’s easy to miss the “why it’s important when we skim over vs 24. We are to spur one anther on toward love and good deeds and how can we, if we are not meeting together?
.
If you are not part of a body of believers, I encourage you to purpose in your heart to do so. You will be blessed. I will be praying for you and waiting to hear how God works. And then, don’t forget to share it here!

Last night was day 2 of VBS. We had 7 kids! What a joy it is to see these kids singing songs with hand motions, running around the front lawn at game time, and diligently working on their crafts! But the biggest blessing is watching them listening so intently to the Bible lesson! It blesses my heart so, and for this – it was worth every hour that was put in to the preparation!!
…and speaking of fellowship – we had way more volunteers than kids, and one of the biggest blessings and joy is just being together with my church family for 5 nights in a row!! I so envy (in a good way) the believers in Acts 2 that ate, drank, prayed and praised together!
.
Thank you all for your encouraging comments yesterday. They blessed my heart! I will post some VBS pics on our FB page.
—
Happy Wednesday sweet She’s – and welcome to all the newcomers for this study!
Amen. Yes – we need face to face fellowship.
PTL for 7 children! May the seeds planted fall on fertile soil ♥️
Sharon, I love all of this and hearing about your VBS. I’m continuing to praying for the remaining evenings of VBS.
I love what you had to say. And I’m cheering over here for 7!! Yay
Hallelujah to the growing VBS!
I really want to be a part of a church. I really do. We’ve gone to several. And attended by streaming on others. But have not found one that felt like home. And we’ve spent more Sundays sleeping in than I can count. Even my therapist tells me that finding community through a church would make a big difference in my depression. Not only do I need to pray about this. I need to move my body and actually go. Pray I can overcome the fear that I feel every time I think about walking into a new church.
oh that tells me more to my questions to you above! :)
And I confess I too have a hard time, I don’t “sleep” in, but boy is it hard for me to want to get up and get “ready” so early in the morning. We have 3 services but my hubby likes to go to the first at 8:30 meaning getting ready at 730 which I have barely go my coffee and settled in with SRT and ya’ll. We then watch online, so then it’s hard to get ready and go after just watching it all! (And I do sing and praise with the music!) BUT…watching online there is much distraction for us in our home. We often poke each other to turn our full attention back to the screen!
LOL to the pokes
Omg…I did it again- hit the wrong buttons while writing out my thoughts-gone, poof. :/
I had said that growing up church was our family’s social life as well with many functions, trips, and activities.
I fell away from church in my 20’s, still a believer but was in a different city and didn’t find my own church there. That definitely reflected in what I was doing and behaving. I think if I had been in a church it would have changed everything.
But it took a life trauma to bring me back. My friends invited me to their church and small group, and it was so beautiful. It was healing. My unchurched friends would try to be there for me but they have different ways to cope and have fun…that leads us away from God. We have to know the difference.
We can go to church each week and not be “part.” It’s important to connect, serve, fellowship! I can’t stress small groups enough. They become your tribe. It is where you will grow and flourish in your walk. We were made for this, to become one functioning body…working together.
We here, are a small group- coming together to study, pray with and for each other, correct and sharpen, share wisdom and our experiences! So thankful for finding SRT over 10 years ago!!
My youth and young adulthood was spent like yours. Church was my social life. Services several times a week. Youth group. Youth trips, camp, and choir. Looking back, it was a great time in my life, even though the church I was raised in was toxic in many ways. And several churches in my adulthood have offered me the same fellowship through Bible studies, women’s groups and small groups. Lord, please lead me to find a church home. A fellowship with Your people.
I love our community of SHES. I wish we could all gather in person! I go to church regularly and serve on the missions planning team that comprises just me and my pastor and one other person. I love my position and I love missions. And on the trips I get to know people on a deeper level, each year really connecting with a handful of people. All of this is wonderful, but I can still at times feel like a Lone Ranger Christian because I’m not in a small group. This has much to do with the fact that during the school year it’s hard for me to get out at night because I’m exhausted from getting up so early. You all feel liken y community but I find I am craving more.
Tami I’ll pray you find a small group that meets at a time better for you so that you can have that community every week. You’re not alone❤️
Thank you Darby!
Tami, I will be praying for you to find a small group that suits your needs..
Question.. could you start one?❤️
Yes Tina. This is a very special community. Thank you for your constant love, encouragement, and words of wisdom. You truly help to spur us on in our faith walk.
One thing that struck me today was the difference between fellowship and community. I think most of us could say we have a community. The church where we worship, or perhaps just SRT. But are we in Fellowship within those communities? Do we engage here on the community board? Do we engage at our church community when there is a potluck or an all Church Festival or going to a local baseball game? I find myself strongly in community but perhaps lacking in fellowship. Does that make sense? I’m going to sit with the differences therein.
Yes, that’s a really good distinction! I had written something similar in my own experiences- but it got erased! But we can go to church each week, yet not fellowship! We need to get involved by serving/volunteering, attention events/dinners/group outings, and especially a small group!! I cannot express enough how small groups are the game changer!! I went to a church for 7 years, but it was a somewhat large church, and I never joined a group. I didn’t ever connect or know anyone—after 7 years!!! I still go there when I go back every year…and no one notices!! lol. Not good.
When I moved that was a high priority to not just find and join a church but to get involved! Doing that has changed everything with my faith journey!! I have served where it blesses me SO much–Homeless, Jail, Food pantries! Small groups were life-giving and I went from member to leading many! I went from never praying out loud to now BOLDLY and ENTHUSIASTICALLY praying for people and with people!!
JOIN A GROUP! Go to church and stick around, talk to someone! Volunteer!
Thank you, Karen, for raising that point. Fellowship is much more meaningful but often difficult to achieve.
Oh that’s a really good way you made me think about it. I think that’s where I’m in need also in areas, Fellowship within my community.
Thank you Shes for your prayers for Liz. She is stable and will remain in ICU for another week. The doctors are optimistic about the improvements.
Liz’s sister is going to apply for a humanitarian visa. Pray that she gets an appointment quickly and she is granted permission to leave her country to be with her.
I appreciate you all.
That’s so good to hear- Praise God, it sounded really bad, But God, the healer!!!
I pray her sister can come!
Praying for Liz’s continued improvement and for her sister to be able to come soon. What a blessing that would be!
❤️
Praying, Tanya. Such a fast moving illness, thankful for her improvement.
What a great reminder and such a timely word. I’ve falling away from doing this and I’ve seemed so empty and alone. But God!
I’m so thankful for my friend Jenn who introduced me to this group and this study. Devine appointment for sure ❤️
So happy to have you hear Renee!❤️
What a divinely perfect time to join❤️
Ahh, Renee, divine for sure.❤️
Today’s reading was such a good reminder that following Jesus may be personal, but it was never meant to be private. I can easily think of prayer, Bible study, and growing in my faith as things I do on my own, but God created us for fellowship too. There’s something so beautiful about growing together, encouraging one another, and learning to choose “we” instead of just “me.” I love to create spaces where women can come together, grow in their faith, and remind each other that we aren’t meant to do this alone.
Beautifully said. Amen!
Absolutely! Thank you Lord for reminding us about how to Fellowship! Reminding us that our ways are not your ways and your ways are perfect indeed!
❤️
❤️
Last year I joined a small group at my church. These women have been such prayer warriors and support with so many stressors going on in my life recently, as well as in the lives of some of the other women in the group. It has been such a blessing. Even though we recently have not been able to meet very often recently, the group texts and prayers have been so very needed in my life. God created us for fellowship. We are not meant to go through life alone!
❤️
Amen!
just wanted to shout out the podcast this week. it helped me grapple with the idea of performance/striving. good stuff.
Amen ❤️
Amen! Thankful for the she’s in this community
❤️
This plan is making me realize I need to open my relationship with my community more within this study, my church community and friends – to feel connected grounded and closer to Him!
Good morning! I love the appreciation that we have for community in this Bible study ❤️ I try to include in my journaling my gratitude for friends who encourage me and love me. It reminds me to pray for them, and I love the fact that we are doing this here ❤️ Hannah.
❤️
Thankful for the “we”! Love and strength in “we:❤️
“God’s Word does not pretend that life together is easy or free of conflict. Any time a group of humans gather, they bring their sinful hearts with them—hearts that want credit or preference, hearts that are quick to judge or to be uncharitable. This is part of what makes fellowship a discipline. It is one of the ways God uses His Church to make us look more like Jesus.”
.
“There is something of the goodness of God and the work of the gospel that we only experience when we are together.”
.
Thank you, Jamin. Good to reflect on these things.
.
God is in community as the Trinity, modeling for us how our lives should flow with and through one another in love.
.
Thankful for the virtual community here. Praying that those of you who do not have a physical community that God brings one to you to interact with as a way to experience God’s grace.
.
TANYA EVANS – praying for Liz’s recovery and for you and the others to be her community as she goes through this crises.
.
SEARCHING – praying God meets you as you are pressing in through this study. ♥️

Update: My young mama was told she will be discharged today from the hospital. No change in her paralysis and no going to a rehab facility. I have no idea how to even pray anymore. May God have mercy and make a way… :-<
Praying for your young momma, Kelly. Praying God will make a way where there seems to be no way!
❤️
God knows this situation even when you cannot find the words to pray. May He make a way for this young mama. Sending up my prayers
My heart hurts for this young mama..that seems to keep getting knocked down even when trying so hard. I don’t know if I missed what actually hospitalized her- but she has Paralysis?! She must miss her little guy…can you imagine? Not only sick, but being separated from your toddler knowing he is with people he doesn’t know? Praying for this situation and that it builds her faith and not the opposite!! Thank you for petitioning us for prayer here!
❤️
What a heavy burden Kelly. I will continue to pray for this young mama. God knows, and may the Holy Spirit intercede in your prayers when you don’t know how to pray anymore. ❤️
Oh how frustrating!! I am so thankful for insurance companies and Medicaid to help those who need it, but when the powers that be maker such terrible (and unreasonable) decisions it is so difficult. I heard a pastor talking yesterday about Romans 8:28 and he said “if it’s not good, God is not done.” Lord, would you make this situation GOOD for this young mama? Please heal her body and comfort her heart. Be near.
Amen!
Praying for God to intervene with young mama’s health.
Praying, Kelly, for answers and provision for your/our :) young mama! And yes, may the Lord have mercy in this situation. The denial of rehab makes absolutely no sense.
Joining our sisters here and lifting young mama to our Heavenly Father.. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayers.
Lord, I also pray for Kelly who is feeling the weight of this, show your power Lord God and make a way for all concerned, in Jesus’s name, AMEN.
Amen!
Praise God for the gift of community in the Christian life!
I love corporate worship and sitting under the teaching of God’s holy Word!! But as our devotion mentions – ‘anytime a group of humans gather, they bring their sinful hearts with them’! So I find small groups a bit of a challenge and tend to keep them on the superficial level. Obviously the fruit of love and patience need to be more intentionally cultivated in my heart!:)

Thank you so much for praying for us financially! My husband had the meeting with our contractor and there were some mistakes!!! We are saving tens of thousands of euros (not wanting to say how much, but wanting you to get the picture). We are still over budget, like we knew, some things just couldn’t be helped (concrete prices, needing a retaining wall, poor soil quality), but our contractor was very apologetic about being charged double for some things and is trying to get some supplies for us (when we take over our part of the work) at cost. Thank you for praying. God provides.
Praising God with you – that’s wonderful news!
Fantastic!
Praise God for His goodness in meeting this need
