  1. Trusting God with my whole heart means not letting disappointments get in the way, seep in, and turn into deep hurts in my heart. For me, its been having the desire to be married but being disappointed when my plans say this one guy is the one and it doesn’t work out. God truly has a bigger plan, more extravagant than my own, and I just need to trust him WHOLE-heartedly!! My own paths are crooked; He makes my path straight and never fails me!

  2. I like the part in the devotional where it says that these things we are dissapointed by should not be the "anchor that weighs us down." This may be my biggest flaw in that I don't just let myself feel dissapointed, I let it drag me down.

There is a balance between feeling your emotions and knowing that God is in control, no matter what.

Lord please let me remember this! Please let me fix my eyes on you and not drown in sorrow as if you're not there to help me.

  3. Wow, this really speaks to me! I’m so hard on myself and tend to want perfection. This leads
no where, worrying leads me no where. I needed to hear this reminder to trust in the Lord and everything will be ok.
