Laura, know that we are praying for you. Sometimes it is really hard to figure out what to do. I have found help in Psalms 37:3-7. I use it as a guide when I have a big decision to make and I’m not sure which way to go. In that passage are 4 steps that I take. 1 – Trust in the Lord. Know that he has your best interest in mind. 2 – Delight yourself in the Lord. Read the scriptures, listen to godly songs, talk to people who know the Lord, be interested in the things God is interested in. 3 – Commit your way to the Lord. Pray. Tell him what’s going on and make sure you’re actually asking him for help. Let him know you want his way to be your way. 4 – Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him. This is the hardest part for me. I want to be active. I want to figure it out. But my timing isn’t his timing. How can I hear him if I’m too busy doing it all on my own? But if I do the first three steps I’ve done enough. I’ve put myself in a godly frame of mind, I’ve shown God that I want to do his will, and then I wait for his direction. If I’m in a godly place and I feel peace about one decision verses another, then I know that’s God directing me. Satan can’t give you peace when you’re pleasing God. He can give you guilt, worry, fear, but not peace. I’ll be praying for you!

I don’t understand the Holy Spirit. It truly is a ghostly concept. I need to seek understanding and ask that God open the eyes of my heart to His entire being. Conviction is a true form of beauty though–a small act of grace that we seize :)

    Laura,

I am praying for you right now sister! I had a hard time connecting with the devotion today and perhaps that is because it was meant for you. May the Holy Spirit lift you up and show you what you are meant to do and give you the conviction and strength to do it. xo

I just finished reading today’s devotional, and I must say, this is definitely perfect for what I am going through right now. God knows just what we need, when we need it.

If you all could pray for me, that would be wonderful. Recently, I have been struggling with something that God may or may not want me to do. I’m not sure if it is the enemy of my soul or Jesus seeking to grow my faith in Him. Please, pray that there might be complete clarity. And that, when I know what God desires, He might be my courage to do it. Thank you all!!!
