Because of his faith in God’s protection and provision for His people, Moses listened to the Lord’s instructions concerning the Passover. Our faith is rooted in the blood of Christ as it covers us, and we respond to His love when we honor His sacrifice with our obedience.

What can you learn from Moses’s response to God in today’s reading?

There is power in the blood of Jesus!

This is a reminder that the blood of Christ has been shed for our salvation

  3. Indyia Ford says:

God will give us the strength as long as we believe that he is with us no matter what

  4. Rachel Williams says:

Moses told the elders of Israel to “Go at once” regarding his instructions for Passover. There was an urgency to do as the Lord had commanded. I pray that when the Lord instructs us that we are quick to hear and quick to follow what is being asked of us trusting that the Lord has the best will for us.
Prayers for a happy Friday and a restful weekend ahead!

BRENDA, thank you for mentioning that! This is from NKJV John MacArthur STUDY BIBLE SECOND EDITION:
      Exodus 12:23 –
This is most likely the Angel of the LORD (cf. 2 Sam. 24:16; Is. 37:36). See note on 3:2.

What can you learn from Moses’s response to God in today’s reading?

He had faith that God would save His people. He had faith to believe God when he was told to keep the destroyer from their homes the Isrealites had wipe the blood of an animal from their flocks on the lintel’s and doorposts of their homes. That is a lot of faith, hope and love in the Lord. That’s something to admire and learn for sure.

  9. Jennifer Anapol says:

I am encouraged to be reminded that I have the blood of Jesus all over me today and everyday. May we all be reminded of that today ladies!❤️

    1. Kris says:

YES!! We apply His blood over us, our homes, our families, our cars, our jobs, our friends, our churches, our cities, our government, our finances, our speech, our health, …. our everything….

  10. Kris says:

I’m sorry, but if I was told to take blood and smear it all over the door posts of my house, I’d be thinking “eeww”. Was there power in the blood of that animal? no. The power came from obedience and faith in God’s promise to spare them of death. The power was in God. Sometimes we are asked to do something that sounds a little weird, like put oil on your forehead, but the power in that anointing is in the obedience and faith in God’s power. We may think that some of the things we do don’t really have meaning, but it’s the obedience and faith in God’s power that makes anything we do important.

  11. Mercy says:

I came here this morning and the Spirit of God impressed on me to share this message. It is not for everyone, but for those whom God wants to touch. The patience of God impressed me so much.

Oh woman, why are you mourning? Why are you looking for the living among the dead? Why are you sad when deliverance has come? Have you failed to recognize God’s ways are not your ways? Oh mortal man, “Does an axe raise itself above the one who swings it? Does a saw boast over him who saws with it? It would be like a rod waving the one who lifts it, or a staff lifting him who is not wood!” (Isaiah 10:15). Woe to him who quarrels with his Maker, one clay pot among many. Does the clay ask the potter, ‘What are you making?’ Does your work say, ‘He has no hands’? (Isaiah 45:9). Why do the people plot in vain? Why do they rise up against God’s anointed and wondered why God chose whom He chose? (Psalm 2). For He says, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God’s mercy (Romans 9:16).

    So He said to me,
This is the word of the LORD:
“Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit”, says the LORD Almighty.
    .
    Let eyes be opened.
Praise the Lord for His grace and mercies have come.

What I learned from Moses’s response to God:

    1. It’s Okay to Daubt: Moses wasn’t afraid to say he felt unsure.
    2. God Equips Us: Even though Moses doubted himself, God reassured him and gave him the tools and confidence he needed to succeed.
    3. Obedience Matters: Moses trusted God and did what He asked, even though it was scary.

    1. Tricia C says:

      Yes! So good!

  13. Barb D says:

This epiphany occurs to me today in these passages — When we remain obediently and faithfully under the shelter of the blood of Jesus, nothing touches us without coming under the authority of His blood as well. We can fully rely on Him because nothing touches us without touching Him first, and He is completely in control. Hallelujah!

    1. Kathy says:

I love this! Such truth. I’m putting this in my journal.

    2. Darby Byrd says:

Wow this is really meaningful to me. Thank you for sharing Barb

      Wow. Good stuff, Barb!

  14. Linda in NC says:

Good morning! I know there are many of us in America who are grateful for God’s grace and mercy in yesterday’s election. I know God blesses those who bless Israel and believe this was a factor many of those don’t realize played into this win. This does not negate our responsibility to
pray for our leaders, elections or to exercise our right to vote our convictions. Let’s continue to be obedient
in our walk and prayers in the days ahead.
Psalm 91 is a wonderful Scripture to continue to use in our prayers. Jesus is our peace not our government. Only as we share His peace will there be peace in our
    nation.
We have 2 months before the inauguration. So much can happen in that time frame. Even as I’m encouraged there is a feeling
of facing dangerous days ahead. Keep those prayers going up to the Father!
I’m sorry if this is rambling. Just felt the need to say these things.
Love you Ladies here and around our world!

    1. GramsieSue says:

      Amen!

    2. Cee Gee says:

Not rambling, Linda, just expressing your concerns! There with you! ❤

    3. Margaret W. says:

Please remember that many of us in the US are NOT encouraged by the results of this election, because we see that the lives of our daughters and our disabled children as well as people of color, immigrants, and other marginalized groups are in danger. There is NOT a single “Christian” way to vote, and the winning candidate in this race doesn’t live out Christian values in any aspect of his political or personal life. This is not a place to express political views, but since it has already been done, I feel the need to respond in kind and to remind everyone that we are called to pray for one another and for all of our elected officials. And those commands were originally written in a world where there was far more corruption than anything we experience in America today, and were there not any elected officials.

      1. Kris says:

I agree that we need to be sensitive to people who might not agree with our views. Personally, I have “election fatigue”. I’m tired of all of it, but we are called to pray – pray for whoever is in office. Pray for their salvation, Pray for God’s will to be done in and thru them – local, state, federal…. whoever. We can do that without bias because whenever we pray for God’s will to be done, it leaves out any prejudice and opinion. We can gather as one in our hearts to pray for God’s will to be done on earth, just like it’s done in heaven. Amen!

        1. Cee Gee says:

          Amen, Kris! ❤

      2. S says:

Thank you for this! The first time I ever heard religion and politics in the same sentence was when I heard someone say, “I think if you’re a Christian you kind of have to be a republican.” My first thought was, “but Jesus cared about the poor.” Because of that I’ve never had that expectation that as a Christian I needed to be a republican. As far as protecting our daughters, I’ve always been pro-life but the thought that if one of my daughters were to ever miscarry that they might be forced to miscarry in a parking lot because doctors and nurses are afraid to touch them is absolutely terrifying and seems entirely unchristian!! I have been and will continue to be praying for our nation along with all of you, regardless of your anyone’s political views.

        1. DW says:

I understand your concern but if you truly read what he has said about this issue, you will not fear this. Those 2 things are very different laws and do not apply to miscarry. I am praying for all leaders those who won and those who lost. God can change hearts. God can use any leader. He is on the throne. Sorry if I said too much, but it saddens me for that to be in the forefront of your thoughts.

          1. S says:

The abortion laws aren’t meant to stop women who miscarry from getting treatment, but doctors are afraid to treat them for fear when the baby does pass that they will be blamed and lose their licenses. The denial of care is directly because of the abortion laws.

      3. Tanya Evans says:

        Wow! So well stated.

      4. Jackie Tuckerman says:

I agree. As Christians we are called to be in this world and not of it. We do not rely on the government t

      5. Karen Bruno says:

        Margaret,
Thank you for sharing your heart here. I am with you. This is not the place, we are all not happy with the outcome, and voting for a Democrat is not ungodly or unchristian.
Look at Jesus’ life—he created this world for us to care for, he took care and spent a lot of time with the hurting, outcasts, and sick, and he loves everyone.
That is what I want my government to care about, too.

    4. Mercy says:

Amen Linda, joining you in prayers for a great transition.

      1. Cee Gee says:

❤ ditto, Mercy! Thanks for the prayers for our nation.

    5. Heather O'Malley says:

Agree with you, Linda, and will continue to pray for our nation.

    6. Tricia C says:

      I agree Linda.

    7. Elizabeth Oster says:

      I agree, Linda. Thank you!!

  15. Cee Gee says:

“Moses listened…” That stood out to me because we know that later it was his ‘NOT LISTENING’ that cost him his blessing. How sad.
Also, I was impressed that the people did not receive instructions for that night only, but for future generations! They were to remember and share that remembrance with those who came after.
As we recently studied in Revelation, this Christian walk requires ENDURANCE and FAITH. Revelation 14:12 (in the context of recognizing the beast, etc, but applicable across the board.):
This calls for endurance from the saints, who keep God’s commands and their faith in Jesus.” and in the NLT:
“This means that God’s holy people must endure persecution patiently, obeying his commands and maintaining their faith in Jesus.”
    .
Praise God from Whom all blessings flow…
Let’s keep praying, sisters, that our leaders will truly find faith in the One True God and HEAR Him and obey!
    .
Another old song that has been running through my mind: The Battle Hymn of the Republic –
    verse 1
    Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;
    He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of his terrible swift sword:
    His truth is marching on.
    Refrain:
    Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
    Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
    Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
    His truth is marching on.
    ..

    Love, prayers, and hugs! ❤

  16. Maria Baer says:

For those of us in the U.S., I wanted to share a simple prayer on the day after the election, because I don’t know about you, but a part of me is just exhausted by this election cycle—

Loving God, on this day after the election, we come to You in prayer. We thank You for the gift of democracy and for the privilege of choosing our leaders. Guide our hearts and the hearts of all who serve, that they may seek wisdom, unity, and justice for all people. Heal any divisions in our nation and help us walk forward with grace, kindness, and understanding. Grant us peace and a renewed commitment to serve one another with love. May Your light guide our leaders and our land. Amen.

    1. Kristi V says:

      Amen

    2. Donna Wolcott says:

Amen and amen. Thank you Maria.

    3. Cee Gee says:

Thanks for that prayer, Maria! Amen! ❤

    4. Courtney says:

That’s a beautiful prayer, Maria. Thank you!

    5. GramsieSue says:

      Amen

    6. Kathy says:

      Amen and amen!

    7. Allison Bentley says:

Thank you for this beautiful prayer!!!

    8. AZ Walker says:

Beautiful Maria! Praying for unity and peace for the nation along with all of you.

    9. Tricia C says:

      Amen

    10. Dee Dee says:

Thanks for sharing, it’s important to continue to pray!❤️

  17. Cee Gee says:

❤ “Faith, trust and obedience are honored by God,…”
AND it is also how we honor HIM! Thank you for that comment! ❤

    1. Cee Gee says:

That was a reply to SEARCHING and got reposted. Apologies! ❤

  18. Maria Baer says:

Revelation 12:10-11 description of how believers overcome “the accuser” not by their own strength, but “by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony,” highlights both the sacrifice of Jesus and the steadfast faith of those who hold onto their testimony, even when facing death.

And it also reminds me of our pastor’s sermon on Sunday about Luke 19:13 “Occupy til I come,” because it speaks of us having faithful endurance and active witness in a world that is struggling. In both, we are called to remain diligent, actively engaging with our faith and responsibilities as Christians, until He returns. God, may we continue to stay focus on you and our mission in this world to spread the Gospel. Thank you for your precious blood that covers us and gives us strength. Have a great day, sisters.

    1. Rhonda J. says:

Yes, amen! So true!! He calls us to be participants…isn’t that amazing! And to stand on truth, trusting and obeying, even when it is hard. We will be hated, as Jesus was hated, but we stand in Love, because that was the example!

  19. Rhonda J. says:

I am ecstatic for a huge win with Christians waking up and standing up for God!! It coincides greatly with this message…because if we don’t stand for the precious blood that Jesus gave, it is all lost. It is imperative…that we don’t go with the nation we are in that wants no part of God. but to stand on strength and trust, and his guidance!! He will save his people. The challenge will be even greater now, don’t get weary. Cover in the blood. Jesus paid it all, and we must pay it all. We must continue to be strong and courageous as the hate comes, it will. People will hate us as they hated Jesus.

    1. Donna Wolcott says:

I may regret this comment, but we just elected someone who probably has never opened a Bible, has a foul mouth and actions to go with it. Who praises dictators, I could go on. My prayers will be for acceptance of God’s plan in all this. May this divided country find peace ️ in prayer going forward.

      1. Courtney says:

        Donna:
I share your deep disappointment, frustration, and sadness. However, I know we serve a God of truth, justice, and love, and everything He does is for our good and His glory. So, keeping all of the foregoing (i.e., truth, justice, love, and good) in mind, if they have not yet been accomplished, then He is not done yet! Remember. We walk by faith and not by sight.

Stay strong, pray and know that you are blessed!

      2. Rhonda J. says:

Your exactly right..but people change all the time…I was one way before, now I am another like all Christians. Hopefully we see God’s hand on our life with age and wisdom. But I have no idea if he has or not…I just know I am protecting the things God has put in place. Lots of love to you.

        1. Heather O'Malley says:

          ❤️

      3. Kathy says:

I’m with you Donna. I believe that this election result is a wake up call for the Body of Christ – the “big C” church to rise up and begin doing the things we have been called to do – take care of the last, the least, and the lost. For too long we seem to have been more concerned with getting laws and legislation passed rather than getting out there and doing the work we have been called to do.
God is Sovereign and in control. He is not surprised by anything that happened yesterday or anything that will happen in the days to come. A friend shared this with me:
My Commander-in-Chief, who cannot be defeated, outvoted, or impeached. We didn’t elect You; You elected us by Your sovereign grace. Your term is eternal; You are wholly trustworthy; and You always keep Your promises.

        1. leap says:

          Yes to this!!

        2. Tricia C says:

          Yes!

        3. Elizabeth Oster says:

          Yes!! Thank you!!

      4. Margaret W. says:

Thank you for speaking up. I gave my thoughts later in the conversation, but I will restate the need here to remember that there is no “Christian” way to vote in this election, particularly when a candidate shows no evidence of godly character in his or her life.

        1. Donna Wolcott says:

My son’s message to me this morning. ” Mom, I know you’re having a tough morning. Lots of people are right now. Take heart, we have a sovereign ruler that is the only ruler over our hearts. As Ephesians 1:11 tells us: God works all things according to his will. Now if you believe all scripture is God-breathed then this is assurance that supersedes any elected official. Take heart.
          Just want to share.

    2. Cee Gee says:

This is a DEFINING MOMENT for our country for sure! More in my comment above. God is Sovereign- and man is NOT.

    3. Mercy says:

Thanks Rhonda for such a reminder. Be strong and be courageous! We are in the battle and God is on our side.

  20. Cheryl Blow says:

Meant to add that I am praying for all!

  21. Cheryl Blow says:

“They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.”
    ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭12‬:‭11‬ ‭NIV‬‬

They overcame by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony and they did not shrink from death! This speaks to me of boldness and bravery! They trusted God and obeyed Him! They went boldly forward in the face of danger and overcame the enemy of their souls by Jesus blood and their testimony!

  22. Donna Mitchell says:

It’s amazing that the Lord knows what scripture you will need. The Protection of the Most High God. Psalms 91 is a reminder to keep my heart on God and “He Will” deliver, protect, answer, be with me, rescue, honor, satisfy and show me His salvation!

    1. GramsieSue says:

      Yes! This!

  23. Traci Gendron says:

I have read Psalm 91 through some hard times in my life. Those words helped me so much. To hang in there. To Know God was right by my side.

    1. Cee Gee says:

      Same! ❤

    2. Carol J Mylin says:

      ♥️♥️

  24. Wendy B says:

What a great God we serve. We are covered by the blood. He made a way then, He makes a way now.

Psalm 91 was one of the passages I clung to in my most difficult days and still do. At that time, I read it over and over or listened to it on audio countless times – sometimes on repeat for hours. It’s truth and hope is so powerful and under His protection, when He is our dwelling place is where we find Him.
    Thank you Jesus❤️

    1. Rhonda J. says:

Yes, amen. Still holding you up strong in prayer Wendy! Thanks for being here with us and keep TELLING how God has protected you!! People don’t know if you don’t share!! We are not sharing enough!!

    2. Cee Gee says:

      Same for me! ❤

    3. Tricia C says:

Me too Wendy. Psalm 91 has been such a beautiful chapter for me in times of great difficulty. So thankful for God’s Holy Word that strengthens us in times of need.

  25. Sharon, Jersey Girl says:

Because Moses believed & obeyed God – death passed over and life was preserved.

And for us, for all who believe – we pass from death to life…. “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.” John 5:24 Hallelujah!
    ~~~~~~~~~
    Something else popped out at me today and I’ve been noticing it in other passages – There was much that took place in heaven before creation. Here are just a couple of passages:
    Psalm 89:2 – God’s faithfulness was established in heaven.
    1 Peter 1:20 – Christ was chosen before the creation of the world.
    Ephesians 1:3-5 – He chose us to be holy and blameless in His sight before the creation of the world.
    I’m sure there are many more verses, this was a start!
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~
Have a blessed and glorious day sisters! I have to run out the door but will pop in later to read comments and prayer requests!

    1. Cee Gee says:

Sharon, thank you for the tickle of those ‘before’ verses! What a great idea! I am going to look into that thanks to you! ❤

  26. Mari V says:

I think of Communion. That was the first thing that popped into my mind. It was the beginning of the first Communion as we remember the sacrifice our JESUS made for us once-and-for-all. @TINA, last night, just before I hit the sack I came here to SRT and read your response! I love that song and played it as I went to bed: “My Jesus. My Savior. Lord there NONE like you……..SHOUT to the Lord all the Earth let us sing….”

    1. Rhonda J. says:

Oh Yes!! Shout to the Lord is one of my all time favorites!! I am Praising His name this morning, and only His!!

  27. Annie says:

Thank You Lord Jesus for Your precious sacrifice to cover our sins and to save us! Help me to respond in complete obedience, even when it is difficult.

    1. Rhonda J. says:

      Yes, amen Annie!

  28. Kimberly Reed says:

To stay in the presence of the Almighty is to stay in peace and protection. Listening/hearing HIS instruction and being obedient/repentant covered by the blood of Jesus sacrifice for us. Covering ourselves with it daily! Praise God!

    1. Wendy B says:

      Love that thought. Thank you

    2. Rhonda J. says:

      Yes, Amen!

  29. Nicole Powell says:

That we are covered in the blood of Jesus

  30. Adoma says:

From today’s lesson, I learn that God doesn’t change. So many years before the death of Christ and the shedding of His blood, a replica shedding of blood was done to protect the Israelites from death. And indeed to this day, the blood of Jesus protects us from the evil one. God is truly the same yesterday, today and forever. And therefore we can cling to all His promises in His word. They were not just for a group of people at that time but are also for us today. All the promises for all His girls.

  31. Lanie H says:

Here’s what stuck out to me today, psalm 91: 11 is the verse the devil used to tempt Jesus. I never looked at it as a whole, this picture of the Passover. Its possible that Jesus and Satan knew at that moment he was the Passover lamb, and Satan was saying per the scripture you don’t have to do this, and Jesus says don’t put the Lord your God to the test. Just thinking of that moment in the context of knowing what he was about to really suffer, and he did it anyways.. wow.

    1. Lara M says:

      Great connection.

    2. Allison Bentley says:

Thank you for pointing this out!!! Soooo good!

    3. Tricia C says:

      Lanie,
Thank you for sharing that. I never looked at it that way.

    4. DW says:

      cool commection!

  32. Aimee D-R says:

We have protection of the one true God when we linger in the shadow of our almighty Lord Jesus. I never want to step out of His shadow.

  33. Jody Striker says:

Yes, this is so good and so timely! We want to live in a Psalm 91 reality, which is only by the blood of Jesus. Give us grace to obey, God. Help us stay under the power of your blood and the shadow of your wings. ❤️

When I need to be reminded of the power, protection, and complete freedom that the blood of the lamb offers us, this song will always remind me. Nothing but the blood!!

  35. Raquel Franco says:

Wow. I really needed this today and am so thankful for God’s shelter. I’m holding Psalm 91 close.

  36. Danielle B says:

I continue to appreciate the examples of God responding as He says He will when Moses, Noah,Abraham, and others act in as Searching commented faith, trust, and obedience. There’s solace knowing God is true to what He says and I need to respond in faith, trust, and obedience.

Thank you Searching for your comments!

  37. Searching says:

Faith, trust and obedience are honored by God, and His faithfulness should be remembered and taught to others. If only the children of Israel had continued to do this … I want to yell at them when reading certain parts of the Bible, “don’t do that!! It’s not going to go well for y’all!”

May we pray and strive for our faith to strengthen, for our trust in Him to be 100% and for our obedience to be unwavering.

LEXI B – good to see you, praying.

❤ “Faith, trust and obedience are honored by God,…”

  38. Tami says:

We are saved by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony. Rev 12:11. Amen. I wonder if any Israelites chose not to obey? If so they paid a high price for their disobedience. What is at stake when I don’t obey? Sometimes my disobedience is intentional- I don’t want to do it. Others times I think it’s because I’m too busy to pay attention. Lord forgive me when I don’t “go and do” v28 as you ask. Keep my eyes fixed on You and my heart attuned to your promptings. Amen. Have a blessed day ladies.

    1. Tricia C says:

      Amen. ❤️

  39. Tricia C says:

I think we need to read on in Revelation 12 to the end of the chapter. The devil is going to try his best to recruit people into his army for his final battle against the Lord. We know that he loses, but we need to be vigilant because he will try to take as many people as he can with him. We have to stay strong. We have to be vigilant ourselves about sharing the Blood of the Lamb with everyone whom we come in contact.

I pray today, As we soon start a new season, that we do not become complacent and that we stand vigilant for the Lord. We know that our enemy, the devil, is not being complacent right now. We have victory in Jesus. We need to share that with everyone.

Have a blessed day, dear Sisters.

    1. Tami says:

      Amen. So true.

    2. Kimberly Reed says:

      Right on!

    4. Sue Dalos says:

Amen Tricia. We need to be bolder and more diligent in sharing the gospel than ever before.

    5. Cee Gee says:

Amen! ❤ Studying Revelation currently! 2 more weeks. It has been a huge blessing!

  40. Kelly (NEO) says:

The Israelites had come through nine previous plagues. Some they had to deal with (1-3) and some the Lord spared them from (4,5,7,9). This showed tham that God had the power to spare them from His judgment if they obeyed. So by faith they trusted in the blood, ate the lamb, and prepared to leave the land of bondage.
    .
By faith, I am trusting in the blood of Jesus, I remember His promise through communication, and prepare to leave this land of bondage to sin and death.

Thank you, KELLY, for your prayers.
And thank you for recapping those plague numbers, I hadn’t thought about that.

    2. Tami says:

Thanks Kelly. Pharaoh’s disobedience and the 9 plagues showed the Israelites the importance of obedience and the necessity to take God at His word.

    3. Kelly (NEO) says:

      Communication? Really?
      COMMUNION!

❤ thanks, Kelly! In our Revelation study, we have reviewed the OT plagues and the similarities in the Revelation accounts. So interesting!

        1. Rhonda J. says:

I love Revelations studies. I am anxious to read the study series of Wiersbe on it!! I know you like him too. What is the book you are doing?

  41. Sally B. says:

Behold the blood of the Lamb – it offers protection from all sorts of dangers and destruction, redeems us from trying to live by the law and defeats the enemy of our souls in the end, ushering us to heaven!
    Hallelujah, praise the Lord!

  42. Tina says:

I don’t know if this is a revelation or not… But I found myself thinking that every day we are ‘passed over’, there is a pass ,over because of the blood. Not just in times we witness, but also in times unseen.. We have the blood of Jesus covering us, on the ‘doorstep of our lives’ and so, as the ‘arrows of bewilderment’ fly towards us, or the darts of suffering come our way, or the wave of hopelessness sweeps over us, we are protected, by the mercy, grace and gift of Jesus’ blood..
    .
    BUT GOD..
    .
    AMEN..

    BUT GOD..❤

    1. Searching says:

TINA ❤️I’m thinking like you, sister, that we are protected at times and in ways we never see. Not that we escape all pain, suffering, grief or trouble in our lives – but that He walks with us at all times. By His grace, His mercy, His love ❤️

    2. Danielle B says:

Tina, yes thank you for the reminder that God because of the blood of Christ passes over us daily. I especially appreciate the reminder that some passovers are unseen. What’s wonderful is that with God we are never unseen. Thank you sister!

    3. Foster Mama says:

❤️ Absolutely agree with the connection. Interestingly, just yesterday, God reminded me of the fact that at so many moments, I do not know what I am saved FROM.❤️

Praying for the US, so divided…echoing TINA’s prayer…. trusting my Jesus.

    4. Cee Gee says:

Absolutely, Tina! Thanks for sharing that! Like FOSTER MAMMA, just yesterday (for real) I was sharing some events with a Bible study friend and realized as I was talking how very much God had protected me from harm, making a wrong choice, etc. ❤

    5. Donna Wolcott says:

      Beautifully said Tina. Thank you.❤️

  43. Mary says:

It is by the blood of a lamb that the Israelites were spared from death. The connection with Jesus is striking: Jesus, the sacrificial lamb, conquered death.
I don’t know if I’m interpreting this wrongly, but as a result of the lamb’s sacrifice, the correct response was for the Israelites to obey God’s command to stay inside; in other words, not to be reckless with the mercy they had been shown. Our response to Jesus’ sacrifice is similarly to obey his commands. While we are not saved by works but by His sacrifice, our proper response to this love is to obey and acknowledge Him in our daily lives.
Psalm 91 is so beautiful – don’t skip it!
Praying for all you sisters in the US today.

    1. Searching says:

      Yes, MARY, Psalm 91 ❤️
