What does it mean when it says “fear God” I have come across it a couple times… To honor him are we to “fear” him?

We are to do both. We honor him but we are to “fear” him as in respect his authority over us and to be aware of the consequences of blatant sin.

Psalms 1:1-2 I have to be careful of my words and the people I associate myself with. I now see why I have been stressed and uneasy this past year.
