    I love the reminder that we can resist evil only with the lords strength. Our earthly bodies will fail, but the Holy Spirit opposes the wicked’s ways.

    I love this reminder of how small we really are and how much we rely on God’s love, “O Lord, what is man that you should care for him? Man is like a breath; his days are like a fleeting shadow” but the Lord DOES care for us. What a cool reminder that we are perfectly made, loved, and valuable to the creator of the universe.

  11. Caroline says:

    I just started this study yesterday after months of not keeping up with daily readings or devotionals. And oh my goodness. It feels like my soul is dry and thirsting for God. Once I started reading, I didn’t want to stop. God is reminding me that I need him every day. It is when I try to do things on my own that I feel burdened and weighed down. But even in the very short time that I have been following these readings, I feel myself giving up control and focusing more on him. Praying for continued discipline and that God would continue to reveal himself to us each day. Thank you all for your comments and encouragements. What an incredible community!

  12. Lala says:

    I am about a month into this study, and today’s readings remind me to keep going, to struggle but to strive for understanding and grace, to pray and ask for help. I have not been so sure of my faith lately but this group – the studies and readings and beautiful comments – help me so much.

  13. Walking In Faith says:

    1 Blessed be the Lord, my rock,
    who trains my hands for war,
    and my fingers for battle;
    2 he is my steadfast love and my fortress,
    my stronghold and my deliverer,
    my shield and he in whom I take refuge,
    who subdues peoples under me.

    Praise the Lord for His mighty power! Asking for prayer to stand as I walk through the valley of challenge

      Prayed for you sister! Stand firm in Him.

  15. Bella says:

    5 Let a righteous man strike me—that is a kindness;
    let him rebuke me—that is oil on my head.

    for my prayer will still be against the deeds of evildoers.

    This spoke volumes to me.
    Accountability. Iron sharpens iron. Correct in love.
