  2. Lauren Garza says:

He is the ultimate ruler. His kingdom will never fail. He is strong, and Takes action. He has a plan. He refines, purifiers, and cleanses. His will will be done. He gives understanding. He wants our hearts. He wants us. He opens what others can’t open and closes when others can’t. He longs for us to commit. He will join us when we seek him.

  3. Oceanna King says:

19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. – Revelations 3:19-20

The theme of steadfastly and patiently following the Lord jumps out at me today. May we be strengthened for the journey. May we continue following the Lord and hoping for the promised inheritance when trials arise, when we are “misfits” with those around us, and when it just isn’t easy. Let us patiently endure and continue on in the Presence and Word of God!

  9. Sharon Ide says:

The letters to the churches give us such a precious view of Christ and how he relates with His church now that He has all authority in heaven at the right hand of God. He desires our holiness and our zeal and our love. He gives grand promises and offers wonderful gifts to us of future glory. He hates sin. He is powerful and will keep us forever if we place our faith in the one who is True and Holy.

  10. JoAnn Foley-DeFiore says:

14“And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: ‘The words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God’s creation.”
    More amazing names for Jesus!!

  11. E Hong says:

3And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.

  14. Ali says:

Lord, help me to not be a lukewarm Christian…I want to be on FIRE for Jesus! “15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.”

  15. Kayla says:

19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.

Often I look as lessons from God as painful-but as we see here… If He didn’t love us He wouldn’t be trying to teach us about our ways and bring Him back to Him. For only he truly knows what lies ahead, and if they are even remotely as terrifying as John describes and illustrates in Revelation then I’ll take the temporary pain from lessons from God ANYDAY!!

    1. Ali says:

Yes!! That jumped out at me today too :)

  16. Katrina says:

Daniel 11:35 Some of the wise will stumble, so that they may be refined, purified and made spotless until the time of the end, for it will still come at the appointed time.

    1. Laura says:

I noticed that verse too! Comforting that our trials are for a good purpose!

    2. Lala says:

Amen, there is grace to be found in our mistakes and shortcomings and dark twisty ness

  17. Shirl says:

Lots of warnings in revelations. Need to be open to hear the instruction. Sometimes hard to understand.
