  2. Lauren Garza says:

He places us. He brings the dead to life. He leads. He is faithful. He gets his abundant grace. He cleanses us. He shows his power through us. He declares. He never fails. He is Lord. He pours his spirit out on us. He is the way. He is merciful. He prevails.

  3. Oceanna King says:

10 But these people blaspheme all that they do not understand, and they are destroyed by all that they, like unreasoning animals, understand instinctively. – Jude 1:10

  4. mckenzie helmuth says:

He brings dry bones to life & gives breath to the dead. He is the living god. So beautiful.

  5. Carol Bowman says:

This is a great app to read Gods Word daily. Also find a local church for teaching & accountability.

  6. Carol Bowman says:

14And I will put my Spirit within you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I am the Lord; I have spoken, and I will do it, declares the Lord.”

Welcome to SRT. The read through the Bible plan is great for getting into a routine. You might occasionally also have a look at some of the other plans as they spend time reflecting on and drawing out the passages.

  9. Sharon Ide says:

Jude calls saints to build ourselves up in the faith and by praying keep ourselves in the love of God. We are to do this knowing that it is as verse 24 tells us “him who is able to keep us from stinking and to present us blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy”. Oh that there would be great joy at my sinfulness being made blameless. Praise God that He sustains us and may we continue to build ourselves and keep ourselves in the faith.

  10. JoAnn Foley-DeFiore says:

7“And my holy name I will make known in the midst of my people Israel, and I will not let my holy name be profaned anymore. And the nations shall know that I am the Lord, the Holy One in Israel. 8Behold, it is coming and it will be brought about, declares the Lord God. That is the day of which I have spoken. 28Then they shall know that I am the Lord their God, because I sent them into exile among the nations and then assembled them into their own land. I will leave none of them remaining among the nations anymore. 29And I will not hide my face anymore from them, when I pour out my Spirit upon the house of Israel, declares the Lord God.”
God still has amazing plans for the Jewish people!

  11. JoAnn Foley-DeFiore says:

21then” say to them, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will take the people of Israel from the nations among which they have gone, and will gather them from all around, and bring them to their own land. 22And I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. And one king shall be king over them all, and they shall be no longer two nations, and no longer divided into two kingdoms.”
And God promises to put His Sanctuary in their/our midst!
    What a glorious promise!

  12. E Hong says:

23So I will show my greatness and my holiness and make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord.

So glad you posted that you are not giving up! Ezekiel has been a difficult book to read, but these latest chapters are some of the best. There is a great song by Lauren Daigle called “Come Alive (Dry Bones)” that helps us relate Ezekiel 37 to our lives. And Jude 1 is a huge encouragement to keep the faith by listening to God’s Word, not what our friends or our minds or our culture would say to us.

This is my first time doing this and I decided to bring my life back to Christ because I am tired of the pain and tears and I want healing and Christ back into my life….a couple verses that stuck out to me the most include Ezekiel 37 vs 6 : “and I will lay sinews upon you and will bring up flesh upon you and cover you with skin and put breath in you and he shall live and know that I am the lord” Ezekiel 37 vs 12: “therefore prophesy and day into them, this saint the Lord God, Behold O my people I will open your graves and cause you to come up out of your graves and bring you into the land of Israel”. These two verses spoke to me the most because I take it as it’s God taking away the old in my life and breathing the new into my life. Taking me away from all the pains , dead weight that are in my life and bringing me into his salvation. A reason why I will continue with this and not give up. Putting my faith and life in his hands and not in the hands of human.

The dichotomy of the Old Testament God vs the New Testament God is compelling. How do you work through understanding what kind of God we have? Is he vengeful? Is he loving and forgiving? If you’re afraid of the Old Testament God, does that just mean that there are clearly sins on your mind? Would love to hear your thoughts

      I am curious too!

Amen—this is timely for me as well. Praying for you, Suzi, and our other sisters reading here, that the Author of Life would breathe new life into the dry & dead areas of our lives & families.

Jude really brought me back to the beginning. Jude verse 21 says to keep ourselves in Gods love. By building ourselves up in the faith and by praying in the Holy Spirt–by doing these things we will keep ourselves in Gods love. Building up in our faith means to store treasures in heaven, not on earth. It means to continuously cultivate that relationship we have with the Father. It means to pursue Christ, just as he pursued us. To continue to grow in our love and knowledge of Him! It means to flee temptation and to run toward Christ. Keep yourself in the love of God. Like branches connected to the vine–remain. Keep yourselves in the love of God, as we await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring us eternal life

    1. Beautifully thought and written. Thank you for sharing.

  22. Debbie says:

Ezek. 36:31 “Then you will remember your past sins and despise yourselves for all the detestable things you did.”
Jude 12b “…but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives.”
God hates sin and tells us that we should too. – This should lead us to confess, repent and be cleansed! Thankful for undeserved grace.

  23. Katrina says:

I have never read the book of Jude before today! Jude 1:24 To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy—

We should hold each other up, In a selfless way… Have each other’s back!

So many new friends here in las Vegas have done just that for us. It also reminds me of when I had to help a tourist at the Grand Canyon who lost her footing and I made her promise me not to get that close to the edge again .. Not to scare me like that again … I had no reason to grab her arm like I did – God reminds me to get out of my own mode of operation daily!

    HAPPY FRIDAY everyone!

  24. Leah S says:

Such profound readings today. Maybe I am just tired after the holiday, but the book of Jude made me really emotional. It just feels like an intense plea to stay focused on Christ, despite what is happening around us. I read it in the Message version as well as NIV and ESV, and these verses really spoke to me: “But you, dear friends, carefully build yourselves up in this most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit, staying right at the center of God’s love, keeping your arms open and outstretched, ready for the mercy of our Master, Jesus Christ. This is the unending life, the real life!”
‭‭Jude‬ ‭1:20-21‬ ‭MSG‬‬. Sometimes I think we forget how distracting things of the world are, and they can cause us to lose our focus on Christ. This entire chapter is a strong reminder and call to action!

Jude1:2 Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.
    How truly beautiful! How simple…
