  1. Sara Lewis says:

Lord let me devote myself to the most urgent needs- that I will make your kingdom fruitful and bless those around me.

  2. Lauren Garza says:

He fulfills. He appoints. He is compassionate. You can’t run from Him. He is worthy of obedience. Hw is true and faithful. He rebuilds and plants. He is with us. He saves and rescues. He renewed and changes hearts. He is kind. He saves. He loves. He saved us through His mercy not by our works. He gives us the free gift of salvation.

  3. Christine Cesa says:

  6. mckenzie helmuth says:

I am reminded to avoid foolish controversies & quarrels about the law because they are unprofitable & worthless. I can’t help but relate that to today with all the controversy in the world & everybody voicing their own opinions. It is not necessary to feel like your voice must be heard if one believes differently than you, but it is necessary to show the love of Christ to everyone.

  7. Sarah Johnson says:

“Be ready to do whatever is good”!! If we want to be ready in every situation that presents itself, we have to be continually preparing! Without knowing the exact moment when we’ll need to use all of the knowledge, empathy, mercy, and grace we have stored up for others through feeding ourselves with the mercy and grace god gives us!

  8. JoAnn Foley-DeFiore says:

5he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, 6whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

  9. Crystal Davidson says:

    Grace be with you all

  10. E Hong says:

4Jeremiah the prophet said to them, “I have heard you. Behold, I will pray to the Lord your God according to your request, and whatever the Lord answers you I will tell you. I will keep nothing back from you.” 6Whether it is good or bad, we will obey the voice of the Lord our God to whom we are sending you, that it may be well with us when we obey the voice of the Lord our God.”

  11. Sharon Ide says:

Titus 3 reminds us to be humble and remember our own sinfulness when God intervened in our lives to grant salvation. This not because of our good works, and yet we are urged not to be unfruitful but to devote ourselves to good works and serving those in urgent need. May we do so as the hands and feet of Jesus Christ with the good news spreading as a pleasant aroma from life to life.

  12. Lehua K. says:

Wow… Telling them not to go to Egypt where the people probably would feel safer, but would not be, and to stay in a land that seems unsafe but is better in the long run… That is a test of faith! It reminds me to listen to God because He knows best, despite what I think is best for my life. In the end, this part of the story tells me that choosing comfort is not always best, and often isn’t. It’s where He wants us to go, no matter how dark a place it may seem, He will protect us and guide us through. Amen!

My apologies if none of that made sense. It’s still early here.

  13. Belinda says:

It spoke to me as well.

  14. Tamera Blankenship says:

1 Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work, 2 to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people.
I will surely revisit this thought often.

  15. Marlaena says:

I find myself amazed at the stubbornness of the Israelites to go their own way. How many times had God warned them of his wrath, they disobey, see the consequences and then still disobey him! I’m curious whether the remnant will go to Egypt but according to their track record, I bet they will! I also have to remind myself of how many times I have seen the consequences of something and yet still disobeyed God. We are not much different, are we?

  16. Linz Petri says:

“If you stay in this land, I will build you up and not tear you down; I will plant you and not uproot you…” Jeremiah 42:10 // I’m going to journal this! Been a missionary in France feeling like a potted plant not yet in the ground. Thank You Lord for speaking to me so personally through Your Word!!!

    1. Chelsea says:

Thank you for sharing. God speaks to us personally for real!

  17. Sandy says:

4 But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,

Oh the undeserved goodness of God!

  18. How to be selfless like in these stories; my heart yearns for a God filled life like there’s. To take instruction without hesitation. ❤️

  19. Wakeji says:

Going to Egypt seems liked a better idea for the remnants of Judah, it seems like it was safer than surrendering to the king of Babylon… But God did not mix his words when he instructed the remnants to go to Babylon. Lord, Teach me to obey your word even when it doesn’t seem to make sense to me.

    1. Hesaved83 says:

      Amen!
