    He is compassionate. He rebuilds. He invites. He is our God. He restores. He breaks chains. He saves. He is just. He heals. He is our father. We are His people. He loves us. He calls us. He accepts us. He is good. He turns things around. He gives us hope. He rewards. He creates new things. He satisfies. He builds and plants. He forgives. He is the Lord of Armies. He doesn’t reject us. He rescues us from all. He equips.

    What a beautiful promise from God for the nation of Israel. Suffering is very real, but god doesn’t forget us through it

    16All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

    We see in these texts Paul’s love for Timothy and his devotion to the elect of God. We read of his steadfastness to them. They are but a shadow of the great love and faithfulness God has for his people as shown in Jeremiah. The heart that loves Ephraim as his first born son has extended to grant grace and mercy to a gentiles such as I, one who was once outside the promises of God.

    Loved today’s reading! All of it really hit home for me. Thank you Lord for speaking directly into my heart. ❤️

  16. Leah says:

    20 Is not Ephraim my dear son,
    the child in whom I delight?
    Though I often speak against him,
    I still remember him.
    Therefore my heart yearns for him;
    I have great compassion for him,”
    declares the Lord.

    God’s heart YEARNS for us, even in the midst of our disobedience. Oh, how He loves us.

    Feeling sadness from missing my Jaeden and knowing only the Lord can give me strength .. Jeremiah 30:13 “…I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.”

    I am sitting in the waiting room while tests are ran on my daughter. God is so faithful to have this verse for me at this very moment! Jer. 30. 17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.

    1. karen says:

      May the Lord continue to bless and keep you and your daughter, no matter the outcome.

    24 The Lord’s burning anger will not turn back
    until He has completely fulfilled the purposes of His heart.
    In time to come you will understand it.

    1 “At that time” — this is the Lord’s declaration — “I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they will be My people.”

    There is good purpose in the Lord’s merciful and unpleasant discipline, however painful it may be at the time! His refining fire is a blessing we can be grateful for!

  20. Nicole says:

    3 the Lord appeared to him from far away.
    I have loved you with an everlasting love;
    therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.

    Amazing words to cherish today from our Heavenly Father!
