Amen to what Sharon said below!! Jeremiah is so faithful to god even when everything god is telling him to say makes jeremiahs friends hate him!! Instead of getting blindly angry, he turns to god and tells him about it

  6. E Hong says:

    13Sing to the Lord;
    praise the Lord!
For he has delivered the life of the needy
    from the hand of evildoers.

  7. Sharon Ide says:

I marvel at Jeremiah’s faithfulness to preach God’s Word. His is not a message of grace, it is of holy justice and wrath to come, yet it is good and right and he is faithful to preach it in the face of physical persecution. May we have much more boldness to preach the Law and the Gospel, the good news of Christ to all.

Praying for you Bobbi and your son

  9. Kristen says:

Dear Lord, I pray for Bobbi, her son and her family during this time. Please provide them with strength, courage, and the peace that only You can provide. Having a son almost that age, I realize the immortality that he often thinks exists with his youth. And I can only imagine the shock this must bring upon her son. I know dear Lord that you use times like these to cement us in our faith and show us Your will. I pray that Your will just now dear Lord is complete healing to show your people your strength and power.

    1. AnnieB says:

      Amen!

  10. Emily says:

    Dear Heavenly Father,
I want to pray for Bobbi and her family right now. God, I ask that you would provide them with strength, courage and encouragement in this time as they face this new battle. God, please be with her son as he faces this scary hurtle. May he learn to lean on you for support and know that you are there for him as are so many others that are praying for him right now. Lord, I know from experience that illness with an unknown future can be so terrifying so I ask that you would provide his family and his health care providers with the knowledge that will bring about good outcomes and please help them to provide the answers and support that Bobbi and her family are needing to hear. God you are good and your love is never failing so I just want to lift this family up to you today. Amen

    1. AnnieB says:

      Amen!

  11. Ruby says:

Of course Bobbi. God will use this for good.

  12. Bobbi says:

Please pray for my family. We have just found out that my 24 year old son has cancer.

    1. Anya says:

      Dear Jesus,
I pray that You bring healing to Mrs. Bobbi’s family. I pray that they don’t become angry or bitter towards You, but rather they learn to trust You more. God, I pray that through this scary and painful situation, that they choose to feel and see the Joy and Hope in things. I pray that this experience both strengthens their bond as a family and strengthens their relationships with You. God, I pray that Mrs. Bobbi’s son knows that he is loved and that there are people praying for him. I ask that You send healing and peace to this family and I ask that You take their pain away. And God, I pray that this family is able to use this experience to connect with others and show Your love to those who may not know You. God, You are the Lord of angel armies and I pray that You send them to protect Mrs. Bobbi and her family.
      In Jesus’ name
      Amen

      Hi Julia!
This is an issue we experienced with the new site transfer, but it should be resolved for your email tomorrow!

  14. Abby says:

’20 As for those who persist in sin, rebuke them in the presence of all, so that the rest may stand in fear.’

Ladies, I struggle with this verse knowing that if I see a splinter in somebody, I am surely overlooking a plank in myself. Please pray that we as Christians can share love for the sinners and hate the sin (versus hating the sinners – because then we’re all in a lot of trouble!).

    1. Laura says:

I read a book a couple yeas back called Relationship Principles of Jesus and a chapter about Matthew 7 made a huge impression on me…somehow I was always reading it as though it said, “go get the plank out your own eye, don’t worry about the speck in his eye, that’s none of your business.” But that’s not what it says! We of course should “speak the truth in love” and from a humble heart, not pridefully and full of self righteousness. The word rebuke is used so much of the time, in the Bible, in a positive context, I hear that word and cringe but when I ask the Lord to help me hate sin as He does and love good as He does and then read verses like this…I can see the love behind the commands and the uncompromising Holiness of our God who does not want any sinner continuing to run healing towards death through unrepentant habitual sin!

  15. Katrina says:

Jeremiah 20:23 Stop drinking only water, and use a little wine because of your stomach and your frequent illnesses.

    Did I read this right?!

    1. Kaily says:

Yes! It’s good for your stomach and the antioxidants are good for immunity. No where does the bible say don’t drink ever. It does say be of sober mind. It also says don’t violate your conscience or the conscience of others. Based off that, I enjoy a glass from time to time and don’t show it off to offend anyone!

    2. Chelsea says:

I think we also need to look at the context. Paul is giving “medical advice” to Timothy. In that day they did not filter the water, so the alcohol helped kill some of the parasites and things.

  16. Carrie Lewis says:

Lord, I pray over everyone that is reading “She Reads Truth.” I pray peace and favor follow them today. I pray understanding to the portion of Your Word we are reading. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

    1. karen says:

Lovely, thank you, and also for you !

    2. She Reads Truth says:

Echoing this prayer, Carrie! Grateful for you!

      Grace and Peace,
      Kaitlin

    3. Elisha says:

thank you carrie, for you as well!

  17. Suzanne says:

it must have been hard to be told that the only way to save your life is to willingly go into captivity, but that goes along with what Jesus taught, that the only way to save our life is to give it up for him. Praying that I will live with more of that attitude.

  18. MarmeeCotton says:

May each of you be blessed today!
