  1. Lauren Garza says:

He longs for us. He wants us to obey. He is faithful, just, great, righteous, grace, love, and patient! He can. He is able to do what He wants. He is living and eternal. He made…
He is the 1 true God. He has promises for us. He judges hearts. He is here for us the sinners. He turns us around.

  6. Carol Bowman says:

24but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.”

  7. Rebecca Sandusky says:

Does anyone else think of Christmas trees when reading Jeremiah 10? My thought instantly went to the fact that Satan always tries to take what’s good and make it evil…it talked about vanity and then described the tree process of cutting it down, standing it up and then decorating it. It reminds me a lot of what Christmas has become vs what it’s supposed to be.

  8. Sarah Johnson says:

Paul’s little autobiography on Timothy is inspiring and full of humility and all the amazing characteristics that come from receiving God’s grace and mercy. Our sin shows others God’s mercy and patience. And, with work and centering in the word every day, we can go out and find opportunities in our lives to show others that same mercy and patience.

  9. JoAnn Foley-DeFiore says:

12It is he who made the earth by his power,
who established the world by his wisdom,
and by his understanding stretched out the heavens.
13When he utters his voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens,
and he makes the mist rise from the ends of the earth.
He makes lightning for the rain,
and he brings forth the wind from his storehouses.

  10. JoAnn Foley-DeFiore says:

24but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.”

    6There is none like you, O Lord;
you are great, and your name is great in might.

  12. Mallory Parker says:

23This is what the Lord says:
“Let not the wise boast of their wisdom
or the strong boast of their strength
or the rich boast of their riches,
24but let the one who boasts boast about this:
that they have the understanding to know me,
that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness,
    justice and righteousness on earth,
    for in these I delight,”
    declares the Lord.

  15. Michelle Chen says:

23Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, 24but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.”

  16. Bobbi T-B says:

Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners- and I am the worst of them.

^Christ has redeemed me and offers that gift to all his followers, what a sweet sweet gift

  17. Tricia Tembreull says:

How have I been shipwrecked in faith? Whether it be the World, a friend, or my own sin or temptations, so often I let the wind that blow in my sails direct me off course in my pursuit for truth and my relationship with God. Lord let me never be “handed over to Satan” so that I be taught a lesson. Keep me guided by the breath of yours Spirit.

“18 This command I entrust to you, Timothy, my son, in accordance with the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you fight the good fight, 19 keeping faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and suffered shipwreck in regard to their faith. 20 Among these are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan, so that they will be taught not to blaspheme.”

  18. Jordyn says:

Absolutely love these chapters. God is so good❤️

  19. SarahMay says:

9:13 The Lord said, “It is because they abandoned My instruction that I set in front of them and did not obey My voice or walk according to it. 14 Instead, they followed the stubbornness of their hearts and followed after the Baals as their fathers taught them.”
10:23 I know, Lord, that a man’s way of life is not his own; no one who walks determines his own steps.
The Lord could easily demand we follow Him, but He doesn’t. He doesn’t want robots, but obedient & sincere followers. He gave His instruction, and it is our choice to walk in that way or turn to what we understand (deceptively) to be better. And He is always willing to have us back if we humble ourselves and turn to Him.

Interesting contrast between the unfaithfulness of the people in Jeremiah to the faithfulness of Paul’s friends that he greets in his letter. :)

  25. Amanda C says:

Amen…so perfect His love for us!! His love is perfect…we are not…He is good!! And just. And merciful. :)

  26. Shirl says:

1tim 1:15 The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. 16 But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.
Let’s not judge people for their sins, but humble ourselves to know that we are all sinners that need the grace and love of Jesus

  27. Sandy says:

23 Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, 24 but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth.
