He chooses, appoints, and sets us apart. He is with us. He leads and provides. He is the foundation of the living water. He frees us. He produces. He encourages. He gives. He accepted us.

  2. Emily Cushman says:

13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. – Romans 15:13

  9. Sarah Johnson says:

Wow Romans 15:13 might be my favorite verse ever, “may the god of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” That message of hope is so important.

  10. Cecilia Apudo says:

    Jeremiah 2:

9“Therefore I still contend with you,
    declares the Lord,
and with your children’s children I will contend.

13for my people have committed two evils:
    they have forsaken me,
    the fountain of living waters,
and hewed out cisterns for themselves,
broken cisterns that can hold no water.

    21Yet I planted you a choice vine,
    wholly of pure seed.
How then have you turned degenerate
    and become a wild vine?

    19Your evil will chastise you,
and your apostasy will reprove you.
Know and see that it is evil and bitter
    for you to forsake the Lord your God;
the fear of me is not in you,
declares the Lord God of hosts.

    Romans 15:

13May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

  11. Sharon Ide says:

The God of endurance, encouragement, and hope is the same God of Jeremiah. Praise Him for His infinite wisdom and holy justice.

  12. E Hong says:

19They will fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you, for I am with you, declares the Lord, to deliver you.”

  13. Crystal Davidson says:

13May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

  14. JoAnn Foley-DeFiore says:

12Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over my word to perform it.”

  15. Rachel Whitten says:

Trying to conceive for over a year and a half reading this makes me hopeful

  16. Joanne says:

God told Jeremiah he had made him a defended city, and an iron pillar, and brazen walls. Jeremiah was not to fear the people but to speak the truth of God. God would be his defender. We know Jeremiah went through some very difficult experiences. Even so God was faithful in preserving Jeremiah.

The New Testament tells us the gates of Hell will not prevail against the Church.

It is my prayer that I will speak of the power and grace of our Lord boldly never fearing the enemy. Romans 15:13 is beautifully encouraging and sheds light on our desire to speak the truth to our needy world.

This is my first day with this app. One of my favorite verses , “Before you were born…” was in the reading today. Since becoming a mother, it has meant so much more! Excited to share in God’s word!

    1. Tanya says:

I just started the app yesterday too—and also teared up a bit that the reading was the opening to Jeremiah… God’s used these chapters to convict me to stop complaining and reach out to others toooo many times! Glad to be reading with you, sister. ❤️

  18. Katie R says:

I love the NLT version of Romans 15:13. Memorizing it!

13 I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

  19. Katrina says:

Reading Jeremiah and Romans 15 today was a reminder that God already has a plan. Our goal is to listen to Him and be lead by His direction to do what our purpose in life is! It may not “make sense” to us – but we each have gifts we may not have even known we were made to use! My prayer is that He continues to speak to myself and to you – so that we each LIVE THE LIFE we’ve been meant to live!

  20. Jess Norris says:

I love this prayer at the end of the passage in Romans: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”

    1. Laura says:

      I love that verse also!

    2. Rachel says:

  21. Christina says:

I am a mother of young children and find my alone time with God early in the morning. This morning my youngest woke and I had to rock him while reading my daily passage. God is amazing and Jeremiah 1:5 has been repeatedly spoken over my son. “Before you were born, I knew you…; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” God has great things planned for my son and I cannot wait to see how he carries them out!

    1. Nicole says:

I highlighted this same verse today, Christina! It is amazing to know God’s perfect plan for us and what he’s appointed us to do!

    2. Erin Latham says:

Thank u for sharing this! It is so sweet!! I cannot wait to be a momma someday! God bless!
