Having a hard time with authorities being God’s servants right now. I need a paradigm shift to see that God is in control despite evil abounding here, especially from the authorities.
He is God. He is good. He protects us. He is a jealous God. He loves us so much. He is slow to anger and great in power. He restores. He can. He has final say. We don’t deserve His grace. If we admire His grace, admire His justness, admire His holiness, and admire His fairness. He appoints. He loves.
Wow what amazing prophecy about the Nineveh. I just read back through the reading from Nahum on the Enduring Word app and it is so incredible! Let it be a reminder to us that whatever God protects cannot be destroyed and whatever is against God cannot protect itself by any means against its coming destruction. Great is the Lord and his judgement!
7Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed. 10Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. 9For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
“Behold, upon the mountains, the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace!” -Nahum 1:15 I want to bear good news and peace. Too often I bring discontentment and complaining. Lord, change my heart.
“Owe no one anything, except love to each other”. The last few weeks credit card debt has been weighing so heavily on my heart. My husband is in the military and we moved from Alaska to the lower 48 and racked up over $6000 in debt that won’t be reimbursed. I am going to show Romans 13 to my Husband so we can get a plan going. I needed this today!
This is my first time ever using this app but I love it! and I loved the end of Romans 13! So good. The day is here, put on your armor of light ladies!!!
Wow Romans always hits me with a lesson each and every time! I’ve been praying to focus on ONE WORD each year and this year it was SERVE. I’m fairly certain for 2016 my entire focus will be to focus on LOVE:
Romans 13:8 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
Praying for you, Suzanne. I don’t regularly read the comments, but today I did! Whatever is discouraging you and challenging your faith, I pray God will provide clear direction, grace and confidence for any necessary decisions or action and the peace that passes understanding.
Convicted by the very last verse of today’s reading. How many times a day do I satisfy the desires of my flesh?!? Eating things that aren’t good for my body, becoming easily frustrated with my boys because I want to be comfortable, longing for a nap…the list goes on and on…my prayer today is that I would be clothed in Christ Jesus and full of The Spirit!! Pray with me!
Trying to put on an armor of light today!
12 The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.
Dear God, help me to stay focused on you. Help me to keep you at the center of everything I do! Please help me to be more like you. I love you!
Romans 13:1-14 Our time is near. Get right! Or get left behind!

Love is such a powerful and all-encompassing word. Love does not harm to its neighbor. Love is patient. It hopes.
What a privilege it is to put on the Lord Jesus Christ. May we treasure it and truly provide no provision to sin.

I loved these chapters. Can’t wait until tomorrow’s!

In prayer for you! Could you please do the same for me?
Praying for you, Sarah!
I really am in need of prayer today… Please pray that I resist the temptations of sin.
Praying for you!

Praying Katie, I know how hard it is to live within your means sometimes! Hoping you can make a plan to get out of your debt!
I am reading this 2 year’s later, so I am hoping things have lifted up since then. I am a military spouse too and wanted you to know you’re not alone!
Salvation is nearer than when you were first saved. I like that.

Hi Laura! Welcome!! I think you’ll love this app it’s been a God send for me!

My bible translation says “love is the law’s fulfillment” and it really resonated with me too. The answer to all is love.
Pray that I would not be discouraged today. Several things in life right now that God is working on my faith and trust levels…

Praying it up for you Suzanne!!! I don’t know what you’re going through but He will get you through it! Lean on Him girl

This resonated with me too Carie. Praying with you today that we would not even think about satisfying the desires of our flesh!
I am right there in the same boat with you Carie! I’ll be praying!

I LOVED that part! It’s crazy how many times I’ve read Romans and never caught that.
such a good reminder to summit to authority, and do it for The Lord, not to please men
