I feel like Paul has just taken the thoughts of my heart and put them on a page. The things I don’t want to do, I do, and the things I want to do, I don’t do! I was thankful to read vs. 24-25
24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.

Hello :) new on here! If I start today will I be able to read January 2015 next January? Or will it disappear January 1st 2016?

Welcome! We go through the entire bible each calendar year but I do not know if the actual daily readings remain the same. Hopefully someone from SRT will see your post and respond.

22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.
I am so thankful Paul shares these sentiments in Romans. I’m so thankful to know that this spiritual giant…this Bible hero….lived in the tension, struggle, and frustration of delighting in the law of God and yet feeling a slave to his sinful nature. “What a wretched man I am!” Same, Paul! Same for me! This gives me hope and assurance that I don’t have to have it figured out. And also a strong reminder that I will never reach perfection.-

Romans 7 is such a good reminder of the role the law of the Lord plays in our lives. through it we know what sin is – what a wonderful tool God has given us so we don’t have to guess or go by our feelings/emotions that are in a constant state of inconsistency! BUT we are not saved but it! living by the law does not save us – Jesus does! hallelujah!
I’m still having trouble understanding a few verses, but reading in different translations is helping, the Message put it beautifully. I’d love to hear about the gems you other ladies were able to find!

So grateful for His mercy and faithfulness, that we can count on His promises no matter what our circumstances look like.-
I loved those verses in Amos today. most of the reading was so heavy, but I love that the Lord makes it a point to be known that HE is in the business of restoring!
