8The grass withers, the flower fades,
but the word of our God will stand forever.
28Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
his understanding is unsearchable.
Lord, I lift up my sister Liza and pray that you would give her courage to face today. Help her to remember You give strength to the weary and increase power to the weak (Isaiah 40:29). Amen
25 “Who will you compare Me to,
or who is My equal? ” asks the Holy One.
26 Look up and see:
who created these?
He brings out the starry host by number;
He calls all of them by name.
Because of His great power and strength,
not one of them is missing.
27 Jacob, why do you say,
and Israel, why do you assert:
“My way is hidden from the Lord,
and my claim is ignored by my God”?
28 Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
Yahweh is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the whole earth.
He never grows faint or weary;
there is no limit to His understanding.
Such a comfort when you are walking through the unimaginable…He is so good, so powerful, there is nothing to fear!
My bible talks a bit about the reference to flying like an eagle in Is. 40:31- they are able to fly quickly and have feathers designed to minimize turbulence, so they move smoothly through the air. They can soar for long distances with minimal flapping and are able to conserve their energy. How sweet to think that our hope in the Lord lets us soar smoothly, reduce turbulence, and manage our energy so we can run and not grow weary!
Isaiah 40: 14 Whom did he consult,
and who made him understand?
Who taught him the path of justice,
and taught him knowledge,
and showed him the way of understanding?
Always a reminder just who leads us on the right path!
He makes things new. He comforts. His word is forever. He is gentle. He is greater. He is everlasting. He gives us strength. He protects.

27 Why do you say, O Jacob,
and speak, O Israel,
“My way is hidden from the Lord,
and my right is disregarded by my God”? – Isaiah 40:27

No one can fathom God’s understanding. He doesn’t get tired or weary. But he strengthens US who are weary instead

Praying for you Liza!
Lord, help us not to be as shortsighted as Hezekiah was. There is more to life than just our little space in time.
Right? I had to read that a couple of times to make sure I was understanding it correctly.
Amen!!
