20Come, my people, enter your chambers,
    and shut your doors behind you;
hide yourselves for a little while
until the fury has passed by.

21For behold, the Lord is coming out from his place
to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity,
and the earth will disclose the blood shed on it,
and will no more cover its slain.

Seems like Isaiah could be talking about 2020!

The reminder from Isaiah that “all we have accomplished You have done for us” is important. The world tells us that what we accomplish is a measure of our worth. But when we remember that it is God who does the work for us, all of the glory goes to him and our worth is found in him.

  13. E Hong says:

    4Trust in the Lord forever,

Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace

    Perfect for me today!!!!

  17. Katrina P says:

    Today was a reminder of the day I let go of MY control. The day in 2010 when I couldn’t do it anymore. In financial strain, broken, tired, and hopeless, He came to save me from myself. I’m a much better person and human for that day. I still have ups and downs and moments where I think “I can do this on my own” but that isn’t true if I am to live out the life I’m meant to live – if that is so, I have to live and let God take over as only He knows what’s been best for me. I’m always open to stare my Faith journey with others because it’s been what changed the course of my life and is the reason I’m doing what I do today. He’s shown me my PURPOSE to help others and now wallow in my own personal misery… Isaiah 26:16 O Lord, in distress they sought you;
they poured out a whispered prayer
when your discipline was upon them.

    1. Alexis C. says:

The relief of letting go is so empowering to do His will. I understand exactly what you have experienced. Amazing grace, amazing God!

      1. Kelsy Adhiambo says:

        Me tooo! ❤️
Control is an illusion, only God has complete control, and I’m better off letting Him take the wheel. I surrender absolutely to You Father, my Lord, my God, my Rock, my Shield and Refuge, my first love. ❤️

  18. Nicole says:

11 The following night the Lord stood by him and said, “Take courage, for as you have testified to the facts about me in Jerusalem, so you must testify also in Rome.” Take courage today! The Lord stands by us too!

    1. Alexis C. says:

That was the stand out verse for me today also. How many different times, places and people will we testify to in our words and deeds.

  19. Suzanne says:

We also need to take to heart the reminder not to speak ill of our rulers. Good has allowed them to have their place, and we should pray for them even when we disagree with what they do….
Please pray for me today ladies, as I have a job interview this afternoon.

    1. Shirl says:

Pray that the lord give you peace this afternoon!

    2. Heidi L says:

Thankful that God works outside of our timeline and prayed that your interview went well and that if this is the right position for you that you will receive the offer! :)

  20. Taylor says:

I love verse 12! He establishes peace for us. And everything that we’ve accomplished is really His doing. We serve an awesome God.

  21. Jessica says:

    Love Isaiah!:
“3 You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
    because he trusts in you.
4 Trust in the Lord forever,
for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.”
We can have peace and hope knowing one day every evil will be brought low, and every eye will see God as He truly is- gloriously holy and on His throne!

    1. Carie says:

      Amen Jessica!

    2. Kelley says:

Yes! One of my favorite verses.
