I love seeing how Priscilla and Aquila correct Apollos in a way that encouraged him to continue to spread the Gospel. After that encounter with them he seem even more eager.

  2. Lauren Garza says:

He humbled us and sent us out to spread His word. He gives us new hearts to go love others. He sends us fully equip to do His work. He watches over us.

16But the Lord of hosts is exalted in justice,

  10. Sydney Hernandez says:

    ♥️♥️♥️

  11. Sharon Ide says:

The same God who brought judgment on Israel said to Paul “I have many who are my people in this city.” Truly we are all worthy of destruction, but our gracious God has sent His own to redeem us.

  12. E Hong says:

10for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many in this city who are my people.” -ellie

  13. Alivya Barry says:

I was super intrigued by the part is Isaiah’s vision with the coals touching his lips. I just kept thinking of how hot those coals would be. Healing and consecration isn’t easy or painless, and I think that passage just confirms that for me. Sometimes you have to put hot coals on your lips

    1. Elizabeth Willette says:

I too was intrigued and feel the same way. What a hard thing to do.

  14. We should always share God’s word. The sacrifice Jesus did for us, how great he is, how loving and amazing he is shouldn’t be something we keep to ourselves. I love how Paul continuously spreads the word no matter how difficult it becomes. It should be a reflection on how we as followers should be today. Aquila and Priscilla left everything & instantly shared what they had learned. Great verses.

  15. Elissa Young says:

    These are great verses.

  16. AnnieB says:

I love how the readings match up again. Isaiah being willing to be sent with God’s message… sadly of judgement and destruction for turning away from God. Then Paul, Silas, Timothy, even Appollos- traveling everywhere to spread the good news of Jesus. And Aquila and Priscilla still responded with an attitude of “here i am -send me” in their own neighborhood! God’s Word!! Pretty amazing!

  17. Temi Manning says:

I love God for his amazing promises he gives us. But this passage does confuse me, maybe I’m miss reading. But Got says to Paul, no one will attack you, then we read a few verses on, that Paul was attacked??

    1. Heather says:

God told Paul that no one will attack to harm him, I take that to mean no one will physically harm him. He will be attacked with words and accusations but God says that he will be with him through it. It’s not necessarily harm in the way that we see it but in the way that God sees it. If you think back to Jeremiah 29:11, God says for I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper and not to harm you. He is thinking in a larger sense of perspective, a perspective that we as human beings cannot begin to grasp. Does that make sense?

    2. Renata says:

I think it was the leader of the synagogue who was attacked.

  18. Emily says:

    Amazing!!!love this

  19. Hope Noelle says:

I want to be able to show Christ to people like that it’s amazing

  20. Blair Bible says:

The awesome thing about priscilla and aquila is that it wasnt about how experienced of believers they were it was about how strongly they believed

  21. Rayo says:

I think it’s amazing and I just realised that Isaiah wasn’t without blemish. But God called him and He cleansed him and used him. It’s wonderful seeing just how God never changes. How his unfailing love and mercies have endured forever. So comforting. Alleluia.

  22. Haley says:

    Prayer is the best weapon.

  23. Kellee Christian says:

    There is power in prayer

  24. Emily DeVries says:

The wonderful thing about Priscilla and Aquila is that they were the less experienced believers, yet they were able to help a wandering fellow man discover more truth than he knew.

  25. Danamina says:

His Grace is always available to the full.. Let’s receive and use it..

  26. Natasha says:

    Praying for understanding!

  27. Kristie says:

Praying I have the courage and boldness to spread the Word of God like that!!

    1. Rebecca says:

      Me too!

    2. Rachel K. says:

Couldn’t agree more Kristie. I pray the same thing, and for the willinglyness (without any doubts in my mind) to just spread the Word like them.

  28. Erin Latham says:

9 One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. 10 For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.”

    Loved this

    1. Rachel K. says:

      Amen!

    2. Sarah says:

I like how it is reinforced by Paul almost saying something… Like we all doubt even though we don’t have to be afrain

    3. Anne Assa says:

Well it is no doubt that carrying the Lord’s commandment will also mean facing tons of struggles. A quote said, “it’s not easy but it’s possible” it’s no way that we are not going to face problems, but the Lord is telling us to be faithful in it and to believe that He will not only give tasks without equipping us with assurances:)

  29. Ariadne says:

8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

Yes Lord, I hope that you are able to send me.

  30. karen says:

“Holy, Holy Holy is the Lord of hosts, the whole earth is filled with His glory!”

  31. Stac says:

    *******
    HERE I AM! SEND ME! – 6:8
    *******

    1. Hesaved83 says:

      Stac,

      Amen! Amen & Amen!!!

  32. Pam B says:

I like that Priscilla and Aquila took Apollos aside and corrected/taught him in private. He knew the good news of Jesus; he just had limited knowledge and there was no need to embarrass him. Good lesson that we have to be discerning on how to talk to others. Some conversations are meant to be in public I, others private. We must seek God’s will and use discernment to know the difference.

    1. Alexis C. says:

Thank you for making this observation. VERY important.

    2. Betsy Cooley says:

I noticed this too, Pam! Completely agree! :)

    3. Tierra says:

      Excellent. Thank you, Pam.

    4. Rebecca says:

      Nice!

    5. Rachel K. says:

      Totally agree Pam!

  33. Katrina P says:

Isaiah 5 brought to light today that one can’t seek immediate response of the Lord just for sale of his own gain or just because he deserves it. EVERYTHING works on God’s time so it’s up to Him when and where things happen “for” us and If they are in His plan – so be it. We can’t do or be or see anything within Him.

(Woe to those) 19 who say: “Let him be quick,
    let him speed his work
    that we may see it;
let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw near,
and let it come, that we may know it!”

  34. Terri-Kate says:

20Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! 21Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and shrewd in their own sight!

Loved these words today. Who can be wise without the Lord?

  35. Alexis C. says:

Isaiah 5: 21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and shrewd in their own sight!
24 Therefore, as the tongue of fire devours the stubble, and as dry grass sinks down in the flame,so their root will be as rottenness,
    and their blossom go up like dust;
for they have rejected the law of the Lord of hosts, and have despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.—–Great reminder to us to be humble and not prideful, in our thoughts words and deeds. The Glory is Our Father’s and only Our Father’s.

  36. Neva says:

Acts 18:28- what we all should be doing today. Letting the world know that Jesus is Christ bc the world is on their way to hell in a hand basket. It is praying times!
