    The prospect of the righteous is JOY. We don’t always act that way- but I think joy is the telltale sign of someone living with the holy spirit in them.

  14. Amanda says:

    I am about to finish my Masters degree in counseling and have been battling disappointment and doubt because I always believed that I would get my PhD and be in constant pursuit of knowledge and wisdom. However, with these passages, I realize that wisdom is not made man or found in the world, but is rather found in God. I pray that the Lord bestows heavenly wisdom and I don’t follow folly!

    1. Haley Brooke says:

      I hope you don’t mind but I am using your quote “Wisdom is. It mad made or found in the world, but rather found in God.” In my blog post. I LOVE that quote and I can’t think of a better explanation. I have changed some of the wording!

    2. Haley Brooke says:

      That “is. It” was supposed to be “not”

  15. HoneyJ says:

    Just came across your app…and I adore it! Just what I was looking for!

  16. Suzanne says:

    The invitation from Wisdom and Folly are pretty much the same, but what a drastic difference in what you will receive depending which invitation you accept! Let me not listen to the voice of Folly, Lord, but only to the voice of Wisdom.

  17. Julia says:

    Proverbs 9: 8 Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you;
    reprove a wise man, and he will love you.
    9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser;
    teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning.

    I need to remember to accept the words of people who are trying to help me and not get angry at people for pointing them out…

    1. Brittany says:

      Amen!

    2. Em Chae says:

      I saw that from the other direction of what we should do for the scoffers (I like your turn around back to us.) my only suggestion is prayer that god will lead the scoffers to realization or help us to point something out in a way that isn’t a reproach.

  18. Katrina P says:

    Proverbs 10 is such a powerful reminder that God is the root of all Earthly things we should seek too! Money… All of the “shiny” things don’t matter if they don’t honor him!

  19. Linda says:

    12 Hatred stirs up conflict,
    but love covers over all wrongs.

    What a great reminder. Love covers over ALL wrongs! May I respond in love in all things.

    1. Katrina P says:

      Amen! MLK even said “hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that”

  20. Alexis C. says:

    Proverb 10:17 “Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life, but he who rejects reproof leads others astray.”
    Humble ourselves to accept instruction or remain prideful and become a stumbling block to others. Dear Father please lean heavy on me when my pride is wounded by instruction and remind me that wisdom will help me to be a better messenger for you.

    1. Justine Fern says:

      amen!

    2. Christina D. says:

      I’m echoing your prayer Alexis. Thank you for these words!
