Ephesians tells us of the immeasurable and unsearchable riches of grace and glory in Christ Jesus. Praise God that though we were once alienated and strangers to Him, we are brought into these riches by the kindness and strength of God. Lord help us to be filled with the love of Christ, that we may have Him dwell in our hearts and be filled with the fullness of God for His glory.
Good morning beautiful souls!! I was thinking about how Paul said we are pieces of the new temple if God (The Message Version) and I imaged myself as a brick or stone… Jesus is my cornerstone , never to be weak, but as a little brick, I could be weak. Then I pictured all of you around me, as bricks. Together we are the new temple. You my sisters (and my brothers) are needed. I love this community. I love that we are all parts of Gods new construction together. Praise His holy name for allowing me to be a part of His temple even though I am not part or His original chosen people!
This was a great beginning to grow within my faith. I have felt distant from the lord and even though I believe in him with my whole heart I feel like I should praise him more.
Today is my first day! I just got the app because I felt like I was distant from God, and I knew if I got the app it would remind me to read about him and his works. I’ve only done one day so far it’s already been great. I really liked this passage. I’m glad I started here :)
Today is my last day on this plan. I’ve just finished the bible in one year! (Yes I know I started in a random place ) but it has been so great! Im going to miss it. Although I’m going to continue to read my bible daily. I started last year after returning from a missions trip and one year later I can see how much my knowledge has increased! God has been working on me and I’m glad that he isn’t going to stop. What a passage to finish on as well! God is immeasurably more than we could ever imagine- that is a promise I will hold dear! I love Paul’s prayer over the Ephesians. The whole prayer is bursting with goodness and encouragement. I love this end of the prayer–asking to be filled to the measure of all the fullness. I remember talking with some dear friends about being filled to the fullness and using the comparison of different sizes of jars and receptacles. God always promises to fill us to the measure of fullness but we have to ask him to continue expanding our volume. The Lord will fill me up completely if my heart is a one cup measuring cup. And He will fill me up completely if it is an ocean. We can always experience God’s fullness but there are vast differences in depth. And our God is boundless and His depth and love have no end. We can be encouraged that we get to look forward to continuing to grow in that fullness forever. Thank you Lord.

My preacher did a sermon over this passage once, and pointed out this verse. I used to think whenever people talked about the “mystery of Christ”, they meant the gospel, or that while we were sinners, Christ died to pay our debt, and give us life that we may be with God and God would be with us.
Yet in this case, Paul, talking to the Ephesians, a people outside of Judah, even if there are some Jews there too, is focusing on a specific slice of that message:
Gentiles can have the same exact salvation.
Gentiles are anyone who isn’t a Jew, so unless you’re Jewish, were mostly made up of Gentiles right now too.
This is so fascinating because Jewish culture traditionally would allow for Gentiles to become “God-fearers”, with the requirements of all the law, including circumcision, which had always been a tough thing for many. But they still were seen as separate by Jewish people, not under the same promise to Abraham and David and such.
So it got kinda weird when these Gentiles started following Jesus, and Jews didn’t know what to do. It was essential for Paul here to point this out, because he didn’t want them to begin putting Jewish standards on everyone, rather than trusting on their salvation by faith. Praise be to God that this is here, that he has looked on even us in favor, and extended his salvation out for all peoples!
I agree, it is hard, and I shake my head at those stiff necked Israelites, until I realize just how much like them I am! Always starting out well and then it falls apart. Thanks be to God for His glorious grace!!

I just love this..great verse to read before I pray..it kind of changes my perspective and makes my petitions seem small. Our God is unfathomable!
