    “Lovingkindness and truth have met together;
    Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
    Truth springs from the earth,
    And righteousness looks down from heaven.”
    (Psalm 85:10-11)

    The Lord Jesus, Faithful and True. How blessed we are, for lovingkindness and truth have met together in the coming of the Son. Righteousness and peace have kissed each other in His perfect sacrifice. We are surrounded by His presence, indwelled with His very Spirit, truth springs from the earth, and righteousness looks down on us from heaven.

    It amazes me how God knows exactly what you need to read.

  18. Kenyetta Pierre says:

  19. Kenyetta Pierre says:

    Comforting word today.

  20. AnnieB says:

    I cannot express my gratefulness to God enough- for what these words meant to me today!!

  21. Vanessa says:

    I woke up crying this morning until I read Psalm 83. Praise God! But help me to instead of dwelling upon those who hate me, to pray for them and humbly ask for understanding to understand others better. I do not ask to be accepted, liked or loved by people but instead lord, soften my heart and grant me the patience to understand all the difficult people around me. Amen.

    1. Lindsay says:

      God, hear the prayer of your faithful servant, Vanessa. Heal her pain and restore her joy. She wants to treat others the way you would treat them; bless her for that. May you soften her heart, her tongue, her actions toward these difficult people. Give her a sign today that you are with her, that her hard work to be faithful is all worth it. May she find sustenance in you. You are our great Creator!

  22. Sarah says:

    10 For a day in your courts is better
    than a thousand elsewhere.
    I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

    Please lord never let me dwell in the tents of wickedness but let me serve your kingdom today and forever in any way you choose.

  23. Amy Clarke says:

    11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
    the Lord bestows favor and honor.
    No good thing does he withhold
    from those who walk uprightly.
    12 O Lord of hosts,
    blessed is the one who trusts in you!

    I needed to hear this today. Thank you God for your unfailing love and your word that is truth!

    1. Larisa Peacock says:

      It’s been a while since I’ve read the word. I just gave birth to my first baby boy. This verse was so special to me while I was hoping and praying for my baby, to conceive him. The Lord brought me to this verse. Here I am today… somehow coming across this verse again. What a great reminder and kiss from heaven as I get back on track!

  24. Antimony says:

    Psalm 86:5 “For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you”. My pastor used this verse in church on Sunday. He was talking about Jonah … and how God was a God of 2nd chances

  25. ShannonNichole says:

    1 God, do not keep silent.
    Do not be deaf, God; do not be idle.
    2 See how Your enemies make an uproar;
    those who hate You have acted arrogantly.
    3 They devise clever schemes against Your people;
    they conspire against Your treasured ones.

    Let us remember that when people slander His name, and when Christianity is met with hostility and derision, that it is not our job to go out and fight but first to approach our King and ask him to fight for US. He will not be silent, deaf and idle. He will act against those who conspire against His treasured ones. We are children of the Most High, and we rest in the shelter of his wings no matter what the world throws at us. Thank God!

  26. Shannon says:

    I really enjoyed the ‘Hosea’ reading plan. It reminded me of how much God loves and pursues me. If you want more of the free studies, I really liked the ‘Hymn’ studies. They were touching and made the hymns more meaningful to me. I also subscribe to the daily blog from #shereadstruth (through the Bloglovin’ app). You can get the daily bible reading for free that way. Prayers and love to you Elise as you find your way back to Him. He loves you very much. I think you will enjoy the ladies here as well. They are quite lovely and encouraging!

    1. Elise Bleser says:

      Thank you, Shannon! I grew up in choirs at my church so the Hymns plan seemed fitting since music really speaks to me. I already downloaded them and will start them soon! I appreciate your thoughts and prayers!

  27. Elise Bleser says:

    I am going to be a junior in college this fall who grew up going to a Catholic elementary school and a Catholic high school. Since starting college and being on my own, I have lost my relationship with God that I had in high school. I am trying to find my way back and I think this app will help. I just got it today. I have downloaded a couple of the plans, but would love input from you guys. Any suggestions? Thank you

    1. Shannon says:

      See my response below- not sure why it showed up separately. I’m pretty sure I hit reply :)

    2. Alexis says:

      Welcome! I was raised Catholic too. I went to parochial school 1-8 grade. This is a great app! Aug 3 a new plan/study starts “This Is the Gospel” it will be free and may be good for you. The gospels are filled with the grace, love and strength you are looking for. The most recent Hymns has the music with it—SO beautiful! Being in the Word everyday makes a huge difference. When you are ready a bible study or Christian students group may be something you would enjoy. My prayers are with you. SO excited for you!

      1. Elise Bleser says:

        Thank you! I appreciate all of the support and suggestions!

    3. Alexis says:

      Fruit of the Spirit is great too. :-)

  28. Alexis says:

    12 Lord Almighty,
    blessed is the one who trusts in you.

    7 When I am in distress, I call to you,
    because you answer me.

    12 I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart;
    I will glorify your name forever.
    13 For great is your love toward me;
    you have delivered me from the depths,
    from the realm of the dead.

    How blessed we are to have Our God who loves us so much!

  29. Leah Swindon says:

    84:5 Blessed are those whose strength is in you,
    whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.
    I love this verse..it reminds me that we should always be seeking how we can serve God in this life. I’m reading Anything right now by Jennie Allen and this verse just reminds me that we are on a pilgrimage..seeking God first in all that we do. There’s such joy and freedom in that!! Happy Sunday friends!

    1. Christina D. says:

      Leah this verse totally jumped out at me too. Sometimes I long to be settled but my God knows that I would be unhappy and stagnant. Keeping my eyes and heart focused on my pilgrimage and thankful that I don’t have to dwell in the past.

  30. Katrina P says:

    18 that they may know that you alone,
    whose name is the Lord,
    are the Most High over all the earth. – the Lord alone is our savior and provider and our mentor! Drawing closer to him draws us closer to a love we can’t even fathom!

  31. Shirl says:

    Psalm 84:10 For a day in your courts is better
    than a thousand elsewhere.
    I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
    than dwell in the tents of wickedness. Do I long to be in church in worship of my father? Some days but other days the busyness of life tends to rush it or cloud it. May my first desire be to worship always. Happy Sunday everyone.

    1. rebecca7395 says:

      I need to feel this verse again! As a pastor’s wife many times the joy of worship is subdued by the stress of “the job”.

  32. SaraJaneS says:

    “unite my heart to fear your name.” (Psalm 86:11)
    Did you catch that? “Unite my heart”? Doesn’t that ring true! My heart is a war zone – different factions vying for power. There’s the to-do list faction, the “my comfort” army, the this-is-what-upsets me troops, and more. On God’s side, I have “I need a savior” pleas, “Jesus died for my sins!” conviction, and “oh Lord, deliver me/us from my/our sins!” prayers.
    I truly NEED unity in my heart!
    This clearly brings Romans 7 in view too.

    What factions war in your heart?

    1. Zoe says:

      I had missed this but am so blessed by what you’ve written! Thank you – I’ll definitely be thinking this through today…

    2. Christina D. says:

      Love this so much. Thank you for sharing.

    3. ShannonNichole says:

      Thank you for that!! May God unify every part of my heart as I struggle to lay down my idols and give myself fully to him.
