  16. Sharon Ide says:

10I am the Lord your God,
who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.
Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.

  17. Tessa Bakke says:

God loves us so much, sometimes it scares me. Although we are evil and distraught and lost at times, he always guides us still.

  18. Jess says:

I love how the Psalms so often put into words exactly what we should be praying. When I don’t know how to pray the words here often guide me. Begging God’s mercy for our faithlessness and glorifying him in his power and mercy! What an awesome reminder today!

    1. Nechelle says:

That’s exactly how I was feeling, Jess! I wrote down and mentally marked those lines that I want to be sure to remember in my prayers. I love how God spoke through David and how his psalms ring true across the generations! Just even more proof of how much he loves us.

  19. Katrina P says:

Yes agreed! We must be completely open to God to feel his power!

  20. Becky says:

    *how*

  21. Becky says:

It’s such a rebuke to me that David is more concerned with the glory and fame of God’s name than he is with his own comfort. He prays for deliverance based on the fact that God’s name is being defamed, rather than, “Lord, I can’t take it anymore.” Now much do I care about myself and the trials I am living though compared to the glory of God? Maybe my trial MEANS that His glory and strength is shown to the world.

    1. Emily S. says:

Thanks for pointing that out, Becky, that really is humbling.

In every situation, we should be glorifying God, and to further that, we should also remember that we reflect God to the world.

    2. Heidi L says:

Great insight. Where is my focus as our world falls further and further away from truth? My comfort or Gods glory? Thank you for sharing.

  22. Brittnie says:

10 I am the Lord your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.

Love this reminder of Gods faithfulness!
