The number of times this Scripture says that they (Israel) did not REMEMBER God. They didn’t remember who He was and what He had done for them. Their folly was in believing that God wasn’t truly God and He wasn’t truly good. A reminder to me: REMEMBER. Mary Beth. God is truly God, and He is truly good.

8and that they should not be like their fathers,
    a stubborn and rebellious generation,
a generation whose heart was not steadfast,
whose spirit was not faithful to God.-ellie
