2 Chronicles 6 has 6 references to Yahweh fulfilling promises. Wow! We serve a faithful God who is true to His Word, over and over and over again. His faithfulness never ‘runs out’, it wasn’t just for Israel. It is for you and me, today and every day. Seek Him, know His faithfulness. That is my takeaway this morning.

Solomon’s prayers are so full of wisdom and insight into our human nature & the goodness of God. May my prayers be so sincere, and full of truth!

36 “If they sin against you—for there is no one who does not sin—… 38 if they repent with all their mind and with all their heart…and pray toward their land…39 then hear from heaven your dwelling place their prayer and their pleas, and maintain their cause and forgive your people who have sinned against you.
What a great reminder that we ALL sin. No one is perfect, and God doesn’t expect us to be. But…when we do sin, we can only find true peace if we repent with “all our mind and heart”, and trust that our sins are forgiven through God and only God.

Although forgive me up there as I shouldn’t be interpreting Scripture. I am not God, one of the church fathers or even a scholar. I am just grateful for reassurance in His mercy for me.

I needed to hear these verses today. Also, for ANY one who does not forgive you on earth after you prayed for them, they reject not just you but God as well. We can not also pray to see what we get out of it but pray to God for He will provide and what he has already given us is so great. That’s why we “love the Lord with all our heart, all our soul and all our mind!”

its amazing to see the grace and mercy that has been given to us even though we are awful people. God is good.

Solomon asks God to forgive the people if they’re faithful and come him to with their problems and admit their faults, which I found so hopeful and encouraging. as Solomon points out there is no one who does not sin, so how great is it that we have a God who offers grace and forgiveness and love when we open our hearts to him, even after we’ve sinned
