  13. Sarah Johnson says:

    I used to think Psalms were always happy and used to praise God, but it is actually refreshing to read that a lot of them are God’s people asking him for help or complaining to him when things are hard. God invites us to tell him everything, even when we need to just vent.

  14. JoAnn Foley-DeFiore says:

    What a beautiful prayer from a father, King David, about his son, King Solomon.

    May I be able to testify with the psalmist that “my mouth is filled with your praise and with your glory all the day.” For “blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who alone does wonderful things.”

    18Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel,

    71:3 is such a powerful reminder that we need to continually open our hearts to God and willingly place our trust in Him! What a great heart check!

  19. Nicole says:

    3 Be my rock of refuge,
    to which I can always go;
    give the command to save me,
    for you are my rock and my fortress.

  20. Reena says:

    He is my refuge in times of trouble! Hallelujah!

  21. Darrah says:

    71: 20
    20 You who have made me see many troubles and calamities
    will revive me again;
    from the depths of the earth
    you will bring me up again.

    This speaks so strongly to me. No matter what challenges and heartaches come my way, God makes sure that I am lifted back up again. I am resilient because that is the way He made me.

  22. This spoke to my heart today, my favorite verse is psalm 72:18. 18
    “Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.”

    This spoke right to my heart today.

    Psalms 72:19 Praise be to his glorious name forever;
    may the whole earth be filled with his glory.
    Amen and Amen.

    These days seem so long, filled with heartache and sorrow. But God is coming back and the whole Earth will know His glory. We seek answers, we hurt together, we feel afraid but God has answered us with His word and this world will be restored. There will be no pain and suffering, we will live forever with our King and evil will have no place here. Amen!

    true, theres a reason that person was selected for government and we should respect Gods reasons.

  26. JJ Smith says:

    psalm 72 is a good one to pray for any government leader we have or will have, remembering that leadership is instituted by God and we are to submit to and respect both our human leadership and our God.

  27. Janna says:

    What a challenge from Psalm 71:18! Am I begging God to let me stay on this earth, not because I’m scared of dying, but because I want to show this generation, and those that follow, the strength and power of God?

  28. Bre says:

    14 As for me, I will always have hope;
    I will praise you more and more.

    20 Though you have made me see troubles,
    many and bitter,
    you will restore my life again;
    from the depths of the earth
    you will again bring me up.

    He gives us hope in hopeless situations. He won’t leave us in our pain, He will restore us. These verses are so important.

  30. Chelsea says:

    These verses just being me peace and release a lot of bottled up stress. I wish to ask my sisters in Christ to pray for me as I go off to college in the fall. I’m so scared of leaving my family and everything I know and love behind for something new and I have no idea what to do but to pray. I usually don’t ask for help but I’m struggling to get myself together and stay in touch with God and don’t know what else to do. Thank you in advance for the prayers❤️

    1. Gabrielle says:

      I’ll be praying for you Chelsea! I have just graduated college. I was not a believer coming into college, but God blessed me with a ton of wonderful women of God. Stay close to Him and he will come through for you! You will find a great community of believers and find your vocation!

    2. Amy says:

      Praying for this new season for you that God would meet you there and you’d experience His faithfulness in new ways as you navigate outside of what you’ve known. Keep seeking His face! He is with you every step!

    3. Grace says:

      Hey Chelsea, I’m 19 and just finishing my first year in university and I’ll say this – draw close to God and He’ll draw near to you. Know who you are going in and no one will be able to change you. Matt 6:33 says ‘ seek first the Kingdom of His righteousness and all other things will be added onto you’. In the same verse, Jesus also tells us not to worry, so don’t worry girl, you’ll be fine God’s got you xx

      1. Betty says:

        Find you a church home close to your university. My daughter did and they embraced her as their own for four years. Prayers that God will help you find a church.

    4. Emma Green says:

      What a beautiful request :) the lord loves when we are vulnerable and ask for help. Praying for you! Like so many have said the lord is with you so who can be against you. He’s got you in his hands his wings and he’s sending you out to mould you into the beautiful women in Christ you are meant to be. What a beautiful place to be :)

  31. Yana says:

    1 Hasten, O God, to save me;
    come quickly, Lord, to help me.

    5 For you have been my hope, Sovereign Lord,
    my confidence since my youth.

    12 Do not be far from me, my God;
    come quickly, God, to help me.

    14 As for me, I will always have hope;
    I will praise you more and more.

    23 My lips will shout for joy
    when I sing praise to you—
    I whom you have delivered.

    These verses spoke to me today.

    1. Sierra says:

      They are just beautifully written.

  32. Lauren says:

    Thanks everyone! After I posted the above, I went into church and rapidly started to feel better and now feel fine, which is new to me because normally after anxiety attacks, I’m ruined for the whole day! Thanks guys xx

    1. Lindsay says:

      Praise God!

  33. Mrsdlv says:

    Praying for you Lauren!

  34. Mandy says:

    Hi Lauren, am praying for you. God is ruler over all, however you feel step out in faith to go to Church. My experience is when something awful happens just before you go to Church, and you doubt if you should go, because you don’t feel up to it, that’s when God wants to speak to you most and the devil is trying to prevent you from hearing that message. Praying for peace in your heart xxx

  35. Lauren says:

    I’m having terrible anxiety this morning, and I’m trying to remind myself of this verse:

    5 But I am poor and needy;
    hasten to me, O God!
    You are my help and my deliverer;
    O Lord, do not delay!

    I don’t know if it will matter to have prayers after the fact (my time zone is GMT), but if it can, could people pray that I’ll calm down for church this morning? I do think God operates outside of time, but … oh I don’t know. I could use some prayers, anyway. I’m struggling hard.

    1. Sara says:

      Praying for peace for you ❤️

      Still lifting you up in prayer!!

    4. Priscilla says:

      He whispers peace be still ( and the winds and seas be still)…..

    5. MarmeeCotton says:

      Praying in faith God does operate out of time! There is no time in heaven. Time was created for us. God loves you!

      1. JJ Smith says:

        I love and appreciate this concept. I have retroactively prayed for things before I know the outcome, and I love that I can trust God to hear them

    6. Yana says:

      Prayers for you my Sister. Breath deep, close your eyes and focus on prayer. You will feel calm.
