  1. Judi Fleischmann says:

When people talked about Jesus behind his back, He talked to God

  2. Sharon Ide says:

We can be tempted to downplay the “joy” we are commanded to have in suffering for Christ’s name’s sake. But the passage tells us to rejoice and leap for joy. Let us consider the love we must have for the name of Jesus and for His glory in order to respond in this way.

  3. Kelsey says:

Why does God choose to write about all the sons of all these men? I feel like it’s just a waste of paper.

  4. Maya says:

Jesus said in luke 6:10 ” stretched out you’re hand and his hand was completely restored and healed.” I find it amazing how jesus can do so much through on person and it’s what god is calling him to do

Wow! I am floored! Today is the first day in a LONG time that I’ve read the “Bible in a year”. To be honest I’ve been focused and so much and His word just hasn’t been one of them :( but Luke 6:22-24 are EXACTLY what I’ve been struggling with!

God is so faithful if you just listen!

22″Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude you and revile you and spurn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man! 23 Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for so their fathers did to the prophets. 24 “But woe to you who are rich, for you have received your consolation.

1 Chronicles 1:24 – Almost breezed past this! Sheerah his daughter built three town! One called ‘listen to Sheerah’. A woman builder/architect/planner/director in the OT? Reminds me of the Proverbs 31 woman who also sounded like a business woman. I love finding these gems in the Bible that show us God didn’t let a patriarchal society stop women from doing great things!

I didn’t catch that when I was reading it. So glad you commented on this and I went back and re-read that verse! A blessing indeed :)

    2. Katie says:

Thank you for pointing that out!

  7. Antimony says:

Luke 6:9 “And Jesus said to them, ‘I ask you, is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do harm, to save life or to destroy it?'” He was looking at the principle of the matter. So often we get so caught up in the details that we miss the big picture

  8. Shanelle says:
