Okay. I was struggling with the David and Abigail story. It had been a while since I had last heard it and I assumed they were going to get together in the end. Nonetheless, I literally said “NOOOOO” out loud when I heard David took Abigail as his wife. All I could think of was Michal. Then at the end of the passage, Michael is married to someone else. Broke my heart. Maybe I’m just culturally looking at this passage through my own, American lens. Still, heartbroken.

What a challenge!! When was the last time that I BEGGED for the privilege of giving to others?? Spoiler alert: I haven’t. Hi girls! I got really behind at the beginning of this month but I finally caught up! One thing I want to share is that right after I started reading again I was handed some tough challenges, but in the Lords grace I could handle them thanks to Him! In His mercy he waited to give me challenges until I was abiding in Him again. David’s ability to rise above his human desires and follow the will of God always amazes me. Lord, help me to become more like Daniel, seeking your will over my own

David’s ability to rise about human desires and intents is so amazing to me. How often do we strike back when we are wronged..even to our own brothers and sisters in Christ? I love this reminder that God has this..our lives, the plans of the future..way bigger than we can see or imagine. Let’s be faithful, and strive to be righteous..that’s what he asks from us!
