  1. Cathy Miller says:

God promises safety and peace to those who trust Him. This psalm brings to mind John 15:5-6 where Jesus describes the blessed necessity of abiding in Him; He is our source of life and strength.

  2. Kimberly Humphrey says:

They shall not be moved and abide forever. I understand or at least can fathom that we will be able to abide with Jesus forever. It is a little harder to think about not being moved. Maybe I am thinking of the my definition of Move and if means something different in Hebrew. But the psalmist is right a mountain can’t be moved. I just feel more fragile than that sometimes.

Trusting in the lord fixes your heart on him and by doing that the trust that you have for the lord is even bigger and you can have a sense of peace knowing he is with you and will take care of you. 7. Joslynn G. says:

Every day I wake up and leave my home and go out into the world and then
make it back home safe and sound, I am reminded of what trusting in the Lord
gives me and confirms for me. He has my front and my back; He covers my side,
    my mind and my steps.

  8. Avery Picone says:

Peace comes to those who trust in the lord. God sent me scriptures right before going through a terrible betrayal and at the time I didn’t understand why those verses in particular were knocking around in my head until the literal knock on my door. The scriptures were the one about the ravens and the other was about how vengeance is His.

  28. Syiera Scruggs says:

I also feel like there are a lot of experiences in working as an ICU nurse and now hospice nurse that I know just could not have or would not have occurred without Gods presence. It’s also immensely encouraging to be be exposed to people with such strong faith at the end of their earthly life, and to sometimes see the pure peace and nearly excitement that they have when they know it is their time.

    1. Tina says:

Syiera, thanking God you and the job you do.. God is good. Thank you..♥️

    2. Tricia C says:

I agree with you Syiera, being an ICU nurse myself. Thank you so much for going the hospice nurse route. We need more of you.

  29. Leslie Littleton says:

I can’t believe I had never truly dug into this beautiful Psalm. I’m sure I’ve read it, just didn’t pay attention I guess. “As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people…” what comfort and what peace that bring me. The first verse that came to my mind and seems to be speaking to me so much lately is Isaiah 26:3-4 “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the LORD forever, for in YAH, the LORD is everlasting strength”

The first song that came to mind was “Firm Foundation”. I could listen to the words over and over again. They also bring me much peace.

    1. Katieb says:

The same song came to me!❤️

  30. Audren Phalen says:

The outcome for those who trust in the Lord eternal life, not being moved by this world. A story that remind me to trust in God is how I met my husband (it’s actually our 1 year anniversary!). I was single for 2 years, going no dates whatsoever. Definitely wrestling in the idea of being single. I got to the point where I just decided it probably wouldn’t meet him for a few years anyway since we were in a pandemic. Two weeks after that I had a guy from Illinois message me on Tiktok of all places. Fast-forward 4 years, long distance, a wedding, and growing pains later here we are! It has not been easy, but just watching our story unfold has been the reason I can to trust in the Lord.

    1. Julia C says:

      Happy 1st anniversary! ❤️

    2. Tina says:

Here’s to your first year, Audren. (Holding an imaginary champagne glass filled to overflowing)Happy Anniversary to you and yours.. ♥️

    https://bible.com/bible/111/pro.3.5-6.NIV

This verse has been my verse since I retired.

The song is “It is Well.”

No matter what happens I know that I can trust God’s hand!

  33. Lynn Capps says:

An old hymn. Trust and Obey Cause there’s no other way To be happy in Jesus But to trust and Obey.

Lynn Capps, that is the first song that popped into my head!

  34. LEF says:

The verse that immediately came to my mind is Proverbs 3:5 & 6. It’s the first verse I memorized when I surrendered my life to Christ many years ago.

    1. Tricia C says:

Me too! Such a great reminder from the Lord!

  35. Mercy says:

“As the mountains are round about Jerusalem,
So the LORD is round about his people
From henceforth even for ever” (Psalm 125:2 kjv)

I once had a dream, that my house was built in a cleft of a large rock/mountain. It was structurally stable, but very strange, a bit awkward, as no builders in reality could have chosen that location of large boulders to build on, or transferred materials in there to start construction. It was so vivid but I didn’t give much thought to it, until today. I will be analyzing my dream, and praise God. It is like the verses of today, You surround me like mountains. Praise be to God for His wisdom is unsearchable.

    Prayers lifted…❤️
@CATHERINE MCVEY: more strength and grace toward victory in Jesus’ Name.
@CAROLINE BRIDGES: frustration be replaced with God’s goodness and sweet joy.
@DONNA WOLCOTT: peace and safety for your granddaughter and calmness for you.

@MIA FAITH: continual comfort and strength for your family. So good to see you.
@HEATHER O’MALLEY: for Hudson to discern the right choices, and strength to move on/ course correction.
    Be blessed dear sisters.

      And what a dream.

  36. Annie says:

Those who trust in the Lord are ultimately taken care of and provided for. He is our Provider.

Praying for my fellow She’s today ❤️

    1. Julia C says:

      Amen ❤️

  37. Catherine McVey says:

Good morning sweet She’s and happy Monday! I loved this reading today. So perfect, and so timely. As many of you have already mentioned several great songs I had to chime in here. As many of your know, I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma almost a year ago now, had multiple spinal and rib fractures and could only walk with a walker. This totally rocked my world. BUT GOD! I immediately cried out to God “why is this happening to me”? The songs, Blessed Assurance and Goodness of God immediately came to me as well as Speak to the Mountain by Chris McClarney. I literally played them on repeat. I clung to the many miracles that God had performed in my life over the years. When I recently went through my stem cell transplant, I created a playlist with all songs that I could find on trusting, healing, and believing. I listened to them as often as I could. God performed miracles for me again! The hospital and doctors could not believe how well I was doing. This is a long journey as, for now, there is not a cure. Only hopes for remission. BUT GOD! I trust in God, My Saviour, the one who will never fail! Proverbs 3:5 says “Trust in the Lord with all your heart”….and I do. Sorry for the long post but I wanted to share the goodness of God. Keep trusting my friends. Have a wonderful day!❤️

    1. Peggy Pappas says:

Praise be to our gracious, merciful God. Thank you for your beautiful testimony.

Agreeing with your prayers and celebrating your progress.

    5. Tina says:

You have continually been in my prayers Catherine.. what good news of His goodness and grace. Sing of His goodness my friend and continue to trust Him for He has began a good works and as the Good book says He will see it to completion..Amen..♥️

    6. Tricia C says:

Thank you so much for sharing Catherine. Sometimes with a cancer diagnosis, all we can do is Trust in Him. Because He is our Hope. <3

  38. Traci Gendron says:

What first came to my mind was
Psalm 91:4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge: his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

This was my go to verse in my 30’s. It brought me so much comfort. The song that came to mind and it does remind me of his protection is Hold Onto Me by Lauren Daigle.

    1. Julia C says:

      ❤️

    2. Tina says:

      Traci, ❤️

  39. Donna Wolcott says:

May I add a couple more songs of trust:
    “Be Thou My Vision”
    “It is Well”
    “Amazing Grace”

    1. Julia C says:

      Great songs, Donna!

  40. Caroline Bridges says:

You see things differently. Miracles could happen…. I actually don’t remember and I’m frustrated thinking about it.

    1. LydiaV says:

Hi Caroline, are you replying to someone or who sees things differently? Any specific prayers that we can offer for you?

  41. Christy K. says:

Psalm 111 comes to mind for me. The Lord gives us so many signs of remembrance to trust in Him and to remember His faithfulness throughout generations.

“Praise the Lord! I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart, in the company of the upright, in the congregation. Great are the works of the Lord, studied by all who delight in them. Full of splendor and majesty is his work, and his righteousness endures forever. He has caused his wondrous works to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and merciful. He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever. He has shown his people the power of his works, in giving them the inheritance of the nations. The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy; they are established forever and ever, to be performed with faithfulness and uprightness. He sent redemption to his people; he has commanded his covenant forever. Holy and awesome is his name! The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!”

    1. Rhonda J. says:

      Yes! Amen

    2. Tricia C says:

      Yes!

  42. Donna Wolcott says:

Good morning sisters, I am going to create a “help scripture sheet”, with some of your suggestions. It’s for one of my granddaughters who is finishing her junior year of HS and has enlisted in the Army National Guard and on the 19th will be shipping out to boot camp at Ft. Sill. She is only 17 and this Mia, is anxious for her safety. She will get back just in time for her senior year of HS. She is excited and anxious but determined. I just got her a new Bible of her choosing to take with her and want to send some positive scripture for the difficult days. If you can I would love prayers for Anya and her parents, this is their first born and reality is setting in about this new adventure. Thank you and God bless!

    1. Rhonda J. says:

That is wonderful that you are a fierce warrior for your granddaughter. I just wrote out on paper a bunch of helpful go to’s from scripture as well…I hope he will use them. This is my grandson Braydon that I have asked prayer for over the years. He is 16 and is such a piviotal point of which direction he is going to take. It goes well, than an incident happens…I’m afreaid that the next incident will lead to major punishment. Last time his mom went to the hospital and he spent the night in juv. He is such a sweet boy. I will pray for your granddaughter…I think it will be wonderful for her! Much better than around wordly bored friends! lol

    2. Kelly (NEO) says:

Wow, I’ve never heard of one so young going in before graduation. Prayers for her!

    3. Tricia C says:

I am praying now, Donna. I remember going to basic training a week after graduating from high school. Wow, for her being even younger.
Lord, please give Anya Your strength, Your peace and Your Hope. Please show her how she can minister to others while she is there. In Jesus Name, Amen.

  43. Susie H says:

    Isaiah 12:2
“God is my savior; I will trust him and not be afraid. The Lord gives me power and strength; he is my savior.”
More specifically, I often repeat this part of the verse – I will trust and not be afraid. Its been a powerful tool.

  44. Mia Faith says:

The verse that’s been on repeat since our sine died 10 years ago and is on HIGH repeat now that my husband died suddenly is 2 Chronicles 20:12
“We don’t know what to do but our eyes are on you!”

    My firm foundation indeed!

    1. GramsieSue says:

Sending you much love and continued prayers ❤️

      1. Mia Faith says:

        Thank you, Tina!

  45. Kris says:

I had a lot of feelings of resentment lately, but I finally realized that God was allowing me to see deeper into my heart because He wants to move deeper into me, and do a deeper cleanse, and bring me to a fuller relationship with Him. So, my prayer has been that He would change my heart towards the places I have resentment, that He would heal me, change me, help me to put my eyes on Him and His goodness. I know I have a part to play, but I also know that I have to allow Him to do the work within me. I have to trust that I will have everything I need for this life because He cares for me. So, I’m in the process of a cleansing. It’s not fun, but I know the outcome with bring more peace than I’ve had before. It will bring more joy and contentment. So, I press on towards the goal of trusting more.

    1. Julia C says:

      ❤️

  46. Mari V says:

The outcome of trusting in the Lord? Knowing that He has it under all under control. Its OK to be scared, but trusting in OUR God is the best place to be as OUR daddy knows best! HAPPY MONDAY sweet She’s! I’m SO excited as I get to hang out with the first batch of our incoming Kindergartners for Summer school. Then in 2 weeks I we do it again with rest of them.

    1. Julia C says:

They are lucky to have you ❤️

  47. Laura Dianne says:

So many great comments, songs and verses shared already this morning! My mind went to the question: What is the outcome of those who trust in the Lord? And the word PEACE immediately came to mind. My son is a perfect example of this. He used to put his trust in God, and was the most joyful and thoughtful and pleasant person to be around. But the World enticed him, and he no longer puts his trust in God, but relies on himself. And he is a different person. He is anxious. He is tired. He is distant. It breaks my heart, because I know WHY he feels this way. But he doesn’t see it. I wish I could convince him to come back to his first love, but my words fall on deaf ears. Only the HS can get through to him now. And I must put MY trust in the Lord that He is chasing my prodigals (both of them) to bring them back.

    1. Rhonda J. says:

Yes, I worry about my son in this same way. He doesn’t seem to have any friends that are Christians and he seems pulled away. Thank you for your words yesterday..we are such kindred hearts! Always praying for your family and marriage!

    2. Julia C says:

Praying that God opens your son’s heart ❤️

    3. Tina says:

Laura, the world may have them now, BUT GOD.. dear sister, has the victory.. keep trusting.. keeping giving them In prayer to Him, He hears, He sees, He knows. Whatever is happening now with your boys, will one day soon be testimonies FOR His Glory.
      Amen.
      Hugs..❤️

    4. Tricia C says:

Yes! Praying with you for our prodigal Children!

  48. Jamie Trice says:

Psalm 139:8 If I go up to heaven, you are there, if I make my bed in sheol, you are there. If you have watched The Chosen, they have Matthew memorize this verse. It stuck with me too. No matter where I go, good or bad, no matter what I have done, good or bad, God NEVER leaves my side.

    1. Rhonda J. says:

The Chosen was SO good last night! And shocking! But I love that they are putting the struggles and questions of loss in there! I love their portrayals of the disciples and Matthew, he plays it so well.

    2. Julia C says:

Yes! Thankful He is always there ❤️

    3. Laura Dianne says:

I memorized a large portion of Psalm 139 many years ago when I went through a deep, deep valley. Thank you for this reminder to start working this beautiful psalm into my mind and heart again. My valley isn’t as deep as it once was, but it still lingers and this psalm is the perfect balm for my soul.

  49. Jade Gaines says:

When you trust in the Lord it will always bring peace and clarity. When you realize that He’s in control you stop feeling overwhelmed by the situation. Trusting in the Lord is remembering His promises and knowing that things will always work itself out in your favor because you have God’s favor all over you and know how much he loves you and will never fail.

    1. Rhonda J. says:

      Yes, Amen!

    2. Julia C says:

      Amen ❤️

  50. Sharon, Jersey Girl says:

What is the outcome of those who trust the Lord?
    vs 1 – “cannot be shaken”=stability. vs 2 = “surrounds His people”=protection
vs 3 – “wicked will not remain”=provision vs
    4 “do good”=goodness & blessing
    vs 5 – peace

As others have mentioned, the first verse that comes to mind is Proverbs 3:5-6. This verse has ministered to me in countless ways, countless times.

How can we not trust the God who gives us stability, protection, provision, goodness, blessing and peace!

This is the song that comes to mind, Trust In God by Elevation Worship…
    Blessed Assurance, Jesus is mine
He’s been my fourth man in the fire, time after time
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood
And what He did for me on Calvary is more than enough
I trust in God, my Savior
The one who will never fail
    He will never fail
I trust in God, my Savior
The one who will never fail
    He will never fail
Perfect submission, all is at rest
I know the author of tomorrow has ordered my steps
So this is my story and this is my song
I’m praising my risen King and Savior all the day long
I trust in God, my Savior
The one who will never fail
    He will never fail
I trust in God, my Savior
The one who will never fail
    He will never fail
    He didn’t fail you then
    He won’t fail you now
I sought the Lord and He heard and He answered
I sought the Lord and He heard and He answered
I sought the Lord and He heard and He answered
That’s why I trust Him, that’s why I trust Him

    Have a blessed Monday! ❤️

Yes Sharon! Thank you for sharing!

  51. Rhonda J. says:

I WANT to trust in the Lord with unshakable faith like mountains? I think I have it…but you really don’t know until it is challenged. I can’t imagine myself being rocked like many, many of you that have shared your hurts and pains, and challenges. But I think that IS exactly what helps us to be ready, that by you all sharing your stories, when we face similar challenges YOU will come to mind! So keep sharing pages of your story She’s. We are women in the Word, standing on truth and the rock, surrounded by unmovable mountains. Oh how I love my She’s!

We are imperfect people being perfected by a perfect Savior! Thank you Jesus!

    1. Sharon, Jersey Girl says:

Rhonda J, you speak truth, excuse the pun!

It is our testimonials that others may see what we already see.. Our wonderful and ever present, faithful God..❤️

    5. Tricia C says:

      Yes! So thankful!

  52. Erica Chiarelli says:

The outcome of those who trust in God is life and strength for living. They will abide forever.
I’m reminded first of Elevation Worship’s “Trust in God”.

    1. Rhonda J. says:

That was one of our “go to” songs at jail ministry! And to see a few of the girls standing with raised hands singing those lyrics in trust that God would see them through is one of my treasured memories of something so beautiful..trusting in your lowest. And God did make a way for one- that is my Stacy that got baptized at our church a few weeks ago and is doing great. The other one is being sent to prison any day to serve 2 years, but she said she is at peace knowing God is going with her and is going to use her while she is there! Now that is trust!!

  53. Michelle P says:

I immediately thought of the song “Trust in God” by Elevation Worship (@Rachel S posted the lyrics below) – I actually had learned this song on guitar last week and was worshipping with it.

“How many are the days of Your servant? When will you execute judgment on those who persecute me?” Psalm 119:84 NKJV
This is my prayer, right now.

    ♥️

    1. Sharon, Jersey Girl says:

      ❤️

    2. Michelle P says:

I just realized I’m thinking of this song, not the ones mentioned below haha oops..

      “Blessed Assurance, Jesus is mine
He’s been my fourth man in the fire, time after time
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood
And what He did for me on Calvary is more than enough
I trust in God, my Savior
The one who will never fail
      He will never fail
I trust in God, my Savior
The one who will never fail
      He will never fail…”

This is the one… ♥️ Elevation is the song leader of this decade though, I’ll tell you!

  54. Maria Baer says:

Today’s Psalm reminds me of one of my favorite songs, which is always in head. I find myself singing it throughout the day. It is ‘Firm Foundation’ by Cody Carnes. Such beautiful lyrics about trusting God because He never fails. Below are part of the lyrics which I so love:

    Christ is my firm foundation
The rock on which I stand
When everything around me is shaken
    I’ve never been more glad
That I put my faith in Jesus
‘Cause He’s never let me down
    He’s faithful through generations
So why would He fail now?
    He won’t, He won’t.

    1. Rhonda J. says:

Yes! I love this song as well and we sing it often at church!

Lots of comments so early already!

    2. Kristen Brady says:

      Love that one, too, Maria.

    5. Leslie Littleton says:

Yes yes yes! First one that popped into my head! My favorite song.

  55. Cee Gee says:

Like other SHES have said, this was the first verse that popped into my head as I read today’s passage:

    Proverbs 3:5 (NLT)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.

    Here are a few others:

    Isaiah 40:31-
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

    Jeremiah 17:7-
But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.

    Psalm 34:10-
Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.

    Isaiah 26:4-
Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.

    Hebrews 10:35-
So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you.

    1. Danielle B says:

Cee Gee thank you for these verses. What beautiful reminders. I have felt the weariness of caregiving my parents and grandma these last several months and the passage is Isaiah is a great reminder of where to put my trust for strength!

  56. Lanie Hefferly says:

I immediately thought of these lyrics:
When darkness tries to roll over my bones
When sorrow comes to steal the joy I own
When brokenness and pain is all I know
    I won’t be shaken, no, I won’t be shaken
… ‘Cause my fear doesn’t stand a chance
When I stand in Your love
My fear doesn’t stand a chance
When I stand in Your love
My fear doesn’t stand a chance
When I stand in Your love
… Shame no longer has a place to hide
And I am not a captive to the lies
I’m not afraid to leave my past behind
Oh, I won’t be shaken, no, I won’t be shaken

After my first pregnancy ended in miscarriage, often I am sitting in fear that this one will too. It’s the enemies lies coming to steal my joy, and because of God I don’t have to live in the past hurt. Although I may feel fear, the truth is I cannot be shaken because I am standing in God’s love. May I choose to rest in his peace instead of the enemies fear today.

    1. Rhonda J. says:

Prayers! “Cast your concerns on the Lord”

My son has to learn a weekly Bible verse for his summer camp and last week was “When I am afraid, I put my trust in God” Psalm 56:3. It was a good reminder for me and a good opportunity to talk about what we are are afraid of and how to trust the Lord in everything big or small.

    1. Kristen Brady says:

I love that verse Katy! I remember my mom teaching it to me as a kid and then teaching it it to my own when they were little. I still come back to it even at 49 years old❤️❤️❤️

This is the worship song I think of with this Psalm of Ascent:
    Christ is my firm foundation
The rock on which I stand
When everything around me is shaken
    I’ve never been more glad
That I put my faith in Jesus
‘Cause He’s never let me down
    He’s faithful through generations
So why would He fail now?
    He won’t, He won’t
I’ve still got joy in chaos
I’ve got peace that makes no sense
So I won’t be going under
I’m not held by my own strength
‘Cause I’ve built my life on Jesus
    He’s never let me down
    He’s faithful in every season
So why would He fail now?
    He won’t, He won’t
He won’t fail, He won’t fail
    Rain came and wind blew
But my house was built on You
    I’m safe with You
    I’m gonna make it through
Oh, rain came and wind blew
But my house was built on You
    And I’m safe with You
    I’m gonna make it through
Yeah, I’m gonna make it through
‘Cause my house is built on you
    Christ is my firm foundation
The rock on which I stand
When everything around me is shaken
    I’ve never been more glad
That I put my faith in Jesus
‘Cause He’s never let me down
    He’s faithful through generations
So why would He fail now?
    He won’t, He won’t
    He won’t fail, H

We are protected when we trust the Lord, even when we can’t see the way out. It reminded me of 2 Kings 15-20 when Elisha and his servant were surrounded by an Earthly army looking to capture them, but Elisha asked God to open his servant’s eyes. Then the servant saw that they were also surrounded by a heavenly army protecting them. How often are we protected by God’s angels but don’t see it?

Surrounded by the Lord … the ultimate protection. We trust and thank You, Lord.

Trust and obey, for there’s no other way,
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
    – as true now as when written in 1887

Keep on trusting no matter the circumstances.

Don’t stop when things seem impossible- Lean on Him, He is our hope.
Don’t stop when things seem perfect -the credit goes to Him and not you, so worship Him and thank Him for the blessing.

I looked up images of the mountains around Israel and came across this blog post from CBNIsrael called, “As the Mountains Surround Jerusalem”
Here are few things I found interesting:
“When David conquered Jerusalem and made it his capital, the city resided on a hill known as the eastern hill; the Bible refers to the northern part of this hill as Mount Zion. The eastern hill is surrounded by hills higher than it. People settled on the eastern hill instead of one of the higher hills due to a water source, the Gihon Spring, a karstic spring that continues to produce water, at the base of the eastern hill. The city remained on the eastern hill until the eighth century B.C.
“The population grew and began to settle on the western hill—what today is referred to as Mount Zion—which was included in the walls of the city toward the end of the eighth century B.C. At that time, the western hill rose above several of the surrounding hills. Thus, Psalm 125 was written when the city only existed on the eastern hill, for only then did the mountains surround Jerusalem.
“It sounds beautiful. “As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people.” That is, until you stand on the eastern hill and realize that strategically all the other hills look down on you. The position is vulnerable. Attacking armies could position themselves on the higher hills looking down into the city. In such a vulnerable position, what made Mount Zion unmovable; what would protect it? God served as its protection, and therefore, Mount Zion cannot be moved. He defends Jerusalem—and those who trust in Him.”

What is the outcome of those who trust in the Lord?
The Lord always keeps His promises — even if it looks different from what we think that looks like!

What scriptures, songs, or stories in your life remind you to trust in the Lord?
    100% Proverbs 3:5-6!
    Speaking of mountains Isaiah 26:4
“Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.”

The first song that came to mind when I read verse 2 of Psalm 125 was the song called “Surrounded” I believe it is. “It may look like I’m surrounded, but I’m surrounded by You.”
Then the first verse that came to mind, just like Tina said, is Proverbs 3:5-6. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths.”

A few weeks ago I started the One Year Chronological Bible plan. After reading about God’s endless promises in Genesis, I can know feel the (seeming) absence of God in Job…

But Job knew one thing: “I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the end he will stand on the dust.” (Job 19:25)

Trust is a key word in the relationship between Job and God. –
As I read somewhere in Enduring Word: “God is honoring Job by putting His full confidence in the genuineness of Job’s faith, which Satan has questioned.” (Smick)

God is in control and His glory has the final word!

I have to say, my croquembouche story came to mind as I read the psalm…
I had to trust God in that unexpected moment of panic! The mountain of fear surrounded me..

    BUT GOD..

He, for sure, covered and surrounded me then, and I know He continues to surround me now!

    Proverbs 3:5, comes to mind

Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know.
Remember the Lord in everything you do, and he will show you the right way. Never let yourself think that you are wiser than you are; simply obey the Lord and refuse to do wrong..

We may think we know best..

    BUT GOD..
He will always know better than best!

His surrounding of His people is protection from harm.

    It’s keeping the negative/unwanteds
    out.

Its His loving arms comforting, when life throws you lemons.

It’s His promise of.. “I will never leave you, nor forsake you”

It’s His ‘I’ve got you’ promise.

It’s knowing peace when all around you going crazy.

It’s hope when it seems hope-less.

It’s grace upon grace, upon grace, daily.

It’s mercy, when we don’t deserve it.

    It’s love wrapped.

And covered in Godly hugs.♥️( these are for sure, different to the ones that come across the pond, trust me)

Lauren Daigles ‘ I will trust in you’ comes to mind..
    These lines especially
Truth is, You know what tomorrow brings,
There’s not a day ahead You have not seen
So in all things, be my life and my breath
I want what you want and nothing less..

When You don’t move the mountains I’m needing you to move
When You don’t part the waters I wish I could walk through.
When You don’t give the answers as I cry out to You
I will trust, I will trust, I will trust in you ..

Happy Monday, wrapped in His peace, my She’s and covered in love and prayers from across the pond.♥️

    Good Morning Shes
So often reminded of “As”, written & performed by the genius Stevie Wonder. A verse that goes:
“We all know sometimes life hates and troubles
Can make you wish you were born in another time and space
But you can bet your lifetimes that and twice it’s double
That God knew exactly where he wanted you to be placed.”
What gets me every time is the last line about God’s overarching plan & purpose. Invisible yet active. While I’m wrestling & weaken. He’s Re-planting & restoring; Correcting & comforting. In my questioning & through my tears. I’ve seen it before & I’m seeing it play out again. Within my family dynamics. He sees & knows far more than I ever will. Now, in this moment, at my West Coast bedtime, I can whisper in confidence Psalm 116:7, “Return to your rest, my soul. For the Lord has been good to you”. Amen & Amen.
