In this song, the singer experiences a sense of homecoming when they enter Jerusalem. It describes the joy of feeling like we have arrived in a safe place of God’s peace and protection, a homecoming to where we belong. Now, we do not need to take a trip to arrive at God’s dwelling place; we need only remember the living and active Spirit of God to be reminded that we are home in Him.
- What other scriptures, songs, or memories remind you that God is your comfort and home?
- Write a prayer over your home, hometown, or the city you currently live in. Pray for its well-being, asking God to be the true comfort and peace in that place.

Jesus I pray for our nation. I pray for the home of the brave. God restore to America the joy of her salvation so she can be a light to the nations.
I pray for peace in my home. I pray that our home will be a place of rest and safety for all who enter it. I pray for protection from those who want to destroy the life and family God has blessed us with. I pray for our home to be used for God’s purposes whatever they may be.
I am grateful for peace with God through my faithful savior, Jesus Christ. I pray for His peace to descend on our Federal and local governments and that God grants them wisdom to govern us and continue our freedom to worship Him both publicly and privately. I would also pray that there would be a smooth transition to the next administration and that any/all attempts to interfere with the certification of the election results would be squelched swiftly. I also pray for more patriotic unity and the putting down of so called social equity programs that are polarizing our culture.
I’m praying for all of us to remember that we dwell in the Lord’s house together, alongside one another. No matter what earthly things separates us we are all equal in His eyes and claim a home with Him
Lord – I am so thankful that you are with us. That we are the place that you dwell. Remind me of this and help me to see this perspective and meet it with thanksgiving and faith- that you will do what you say you will. As the Election Day is coming – I feel a sense of unrest for my city, state and country. Lord please guide us through this time that we may trust in you and continue to be a light for you no matter the results of the races. I also pray for a spirit of tbankfulness in our home. Wirh my husband and kids.
I pray for peace in my mind and peace in my home and peace in my walls . We bond the darkness and the enemy. Lord be our peace and our banner.
I pray for peace, comfort, and protection over every area of our home. Lord let my home be gospel centered. Let it be a sanctuary and resting places for my husband, me, and the children. Lord be our place of refuge when our souls are restless. Help us to continue to run to you for peace. Fill us up with your spirit God. Fill this home with your presence. You’re here and I know you’re moving. I’m here and I know you will fill me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
I pray for peace and kindness within my neighborhood and my community. That we would think of our neighbor first, and reach out a helping hand or a kind word
I pray against decision and selfish thinking. I pray that needs would be met, relationships strengthened, and the presence of your spirit would be abundant

I pray for peace over my hometown lord, rejoice and bring everyone to you lord. My hometown has fallen apart the last couple months due to evil taking over and letting it get to the people and my neighbors. Lord I just pray you can uplift the evil and reconnect our town and the people through you and I hope we can all join together and get the evil out and bring the joy in.
I lift up our neighbors, our community, town, state & nation that we may become like Jerusalem – a place where God has aet aside to walk among us. May the Holy Spirit enter & blanket us in peace, coexistence & love for our neighbor.
Be within these walls, O Lord,
be within this home.
Be our place of refuge and peace,
where our souls do not have to roam.
Bind the darkness and enemy,
send out the darkness and fear.
Be within in these walls, O Lord,
make your dwelling place here.
Be within these walls, O Lord,
gives us your wisdom and peace.
We give this home to you, O Lord,
May your presence here never cease.
Amen!
I pray for peace within the walls of our home. We have to young toddlers and there is often chaos that then leads to stress at the end of the day. Lord let our home be my sanctuary and resting place especially at the end of the day when my husband and I are tired.
I pray for peace in my home and in my community. That the peace of Christ will fall on each one.
My prayer is for people to know that the Lord is a good and just God and that there is peace in him.
I pray for the well being of our home which protects and provides for our family.
Prayer before dinner has always been the most comforting experience for me in my home.i pray for everyone in my home human and animals that reside there and I pray that my hometown is safe and doing well and I pray for my new city to keep growing and being a safe place to be.
Psalm 94:19
In the multitude of my anxieties within me,
Your comforts delight my soul.
Lord, help me always acknowledge and run to you for comfort. I pray for those around me who don’t know there can be peace and safety to be found or don’t know where to truly find it. Empty me of me and fill me with you so I can be a beacon of light pointing them to sure sure and safe path.
The verse about God being an anchor is a storm is what I love to think about. I pray not only for my home, that God would protect it, but also the war in Israel and Pakistan. I pray that God can give peace to both sides and stop this horrible genocide and war. Please Lord, be with these people and show them love and resolve this matter with peace!
Lord I pray our home is a place of peace and sanctuary for us. Lord, I’m so grateful for your continued grace, forgiveness, and protection. I pray o can extend that to my little kids.
I am praying for my home. I let my brother live with me and it has been so much chaos in my house. He isn’t saved and expects that I should be at his beck and call. It has caused so much problems between my mom and I. I have a son who just graduated from high school and plans to go off to the Marines. I just pray peace in my home and for peace in my h
Every night I pray our home is a sanctuary to our family and that all who step foot on our property are blessed. I pray for spiritual prosperity within these walls. That our children and their friends will be drawn to God, as well as any guest invited or uninvited!
It’s been a season of waiting. Nearly two years of living in a home that isn’t ours but it’s been a blessing yet nonetheless. I am thankful for what the Lord is doing in my family’s life and I will patiently trust He will guide us into the right home very soon. One we can call ours. Blessed by Him.
“I Speak Jesus” is extremely comforting to me and reminds me that I am always protected
Amen

Come As You Are by Crowder always makes me feel at home and welcomed. No matter how far I stray or how broken I feel, He is always calling me home.
When I was younger, much, much younger than I am today my earthly father was my home. My safe haven, my go to in times of trouble and in times of childhood excitement.. I always felt safe with him and whilst at school his letters were truly letters from home.
Reminds me of the verse in 1 Corinthians 13:11 that say.. ” When I was a child, my speech, feelings and thinking were all those of a child..”
Fast forward, 50 years later, home has another meaning.. a meaning that is warming, safe, protective, gracious, hope-filled, peace giving, Home is the person of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit..
I have been here on earth some years now(ha! Ha!) and I see that my early years, my formative years were informative, preparing me for grown-hood and the real deal love of God. My earthly father was the best this world could offer..
BUT GOD..
Wonderful Father God, He, has been my refuge, my strength, my song.. my closest friend.. my Hope.. my Home.
Psalm 91 .. ‘he who dwells in the shelter of the Most High God,shall say of the Lord, You are my God in whom I trust…’
My heart sings at these words.. home.
If I had to choose a song, a hymn… Ummm.., it would have to be Amazing grace.. ‘..how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me, I once was lost, but now I am found, ( and home), was blind but now I see..’
Amen.
@Tina… thank you for sharing. It blessed me.
I just thought of one step away by casting crowns
What if you could go back and relive that day in your life all over again and unmake the mistake that left you a million miles away from the you, you once knew.
But what if I told you…
You’re one step away from surrender
You’re one step away from coming home, coming home
One step from arms wide open, his love will never let you go
In the city of Houston; I hope that those without power get it restored soon so that they can start thriving, again. We would like to not have any more rain dumped on us for awhile (if you know, you know). Be present with those who believe in you. Amen
For some reason I have A place in this world on loop in my brain. I didn’t know it existed until I watched her play it on guitar from at least a few feet away on the Eras tour. It’s the part where she plays a different song every night also known as the acoustic section or surprise songs, but I call it the mystery box. Of course it’s by Taylor Swift
God is good. The thought of him as good and the world is broken because of sin brings me peace with grief. When we don’t have the answers it’s the heart set faith that I seek when I do not understand.
I pray over our country. It’s so divided and that God has set our young men and women with good hearts to be able to become peace makers in the countries. I pray for the future of our generations to come.
I pray peace and protection over my son Victor. His depression and anxiety is at an all time high again and he’s isolating himself in the room where he lives. I pray that he would once and for all surrender his life to the Lord and that HE would send him believers to encourage him and develop a community with him. He is extremely lonely but doesn’t want to come home to Oregon (he’s in LA, CA). I pray that the new therapist he will be seeing on Thursday (tomorrow afternoon) will be a good fit for him and give him the treatment he needs. The doctor is suspecting bilpolar with adhd. I pray for a good job where he could use his many talents and that he would enjoy it and make some friends. Lastly for a safe place to live where he can also make some lasting friendships and would be invited to church. Thank you ladies for your prayers as well. This is a never ending battle – definitely spiritual in nature. The enemy has a stronghold on him and I’ve been fighting him with prayer and fasting for years
Praying with you…
♥️
My prayer is for peace for all cities and countries: restore and renew amen
Lord, I pray over my home, that you bring peace over and into it. That your Spirit will dwell in it all the days we are here. I pray over my city, that you will be with every family and person in it. All the ones who have been here for decades, and all the new ones moving in, that they will be welcomed in, find a good church family and that your presence just indwell over and in our small city. That you will be in our Church. And every other small country church around us. No matter the denomination. Help us to reach out to our community and help them to have open hearts to receive you. Amen
What other scriptures, songs, or memories remind you that God is your comfort and home? Psalm 23 will always remind me of comfort. Not only because my great grandmother helped her grandchildren memorize it, but because it tells us that we do not walk alone and not to be afraid because our Lord is with us.
Write a prayer over your home, hometown, or the city you currently live in. Pray for its well-being, asking God to be the true comfort and peace in that place.
Dear Lord,
Please protect me and my family, please protect all of the people in this world who need your love and guidance. Please comfort us and bring peace to the sad and discouraged, to the lost and lonely, and to the tired and broken. Please Lord, allow us to feel your love and comfort both now and in the future.
Thank you so much dear Lord!
Amen!
I was struck by today’s challenge to pray for our home as I became so aware of how much I have been struggling with a lack of comfort or peace in my home. We are waiting for things to line up to move to a new home and I clearly have put out of my mind any thoughts of thanksgiving to God for what we do have here by His blessing. It was good to pray over my home and recognize God for what he has been to us here and not focus on all the ways I want things to be different. Thanks be to God!
“I Can Only Imagine” is the best thoughts of how it will feel to be home with our God. It brings me to tears whenever I hear it.
I also believe we can feel at home with God here on earth. We just need to stay in prayer and have our eyes up on Him.
Hello Dear Shes
A Prayer for My Home:
Clarity & confidence as my husband & I approach a conversation about our son & his family. May we be caring, compassionate & even creative in our decision making.
A Prayer for the World:
Resolution of conflict & reformation of all that can be
reclaimed & renewed. In Ukraine. In Gaza. In hope. For healing.
A Song of Remembrance & Renewal:
“Morning Has Broken”…like the first morning…
His constancy.
Amen & Amen
Praising with you, Mari V <3
Yes, Mercy, it helps the reply to comments button is gone.. though, I did like that feature. I can see all comments, too.
…Thank you for those who were praying:) meant to say that below
Praise Report!!!!
My friend Isabel and her husband are reconciling! He has decided to not pursue the divorce but seek counseling and reconciliation. He has a heart of repentance from what it seems and there is peace! I’m not sure all the details but Isabel shared this briefly on my group prayer call last night. Just wanted to share for those who have been praying!! God hears
Side note** I was able to read all of your comments today and I feel so blessed. The reply button is gone today and all comments DID show. Hallelujah. I went back to Day 1 too, because there were so many comments/ struggles shared that day that I wasn’t able to read. But today, by God’s grace I could see them all now. I will be scrolling back and praying over them. Thank you SRT. Who knew the reply button is the culprit. Ha! Appreciate your silent work behind the scene. We could do without the reply button, in my humble opinion :) God bless you SRT staff for your dedication in enriching our walk with Jesus and with one another. You got a round of applause from me ❤️.
I rejoice when I get to go to the house of the Lord. Going to church used to be so simple and easy for me. But now, it has been a great spiritual battle to even make it to church. The devil changed my husband’s schedule to work on Sunday to keep him off. And when I took the three kids, all manners of tantrums and odd things happened to make us late, or I couldn’t have peace sitting in church because the kids complained and made noise. BUT GOD, I trust Him that He will deliver us from all hindrances. Psalm 23 also reminds me of the comfort and leading of the Good Shepherd. Whenever I am in tears, this is the Psalm I will pray and declare over my life. Father Lord God, I pray for the peace and security of Israel and Jerusalem this day, deliver them from their enemies. I pray for the peace of my nation and the nations in which my dear shes reside with their families. I pray for peace, security and the well-being of the nations and the people within the walls/borders. May You appoint godly leaders, anoint them with godly wisdom and courage to lead the nations into paths of righteousness. Let Your goodness lead the crooked ones into continual repentance. Guard over their hearts and mind, their families. Keep watch over us and sustain us in Your faithfulness and tender mercies. Protect our home, our marriage, our health and our relationships with You and with one another. Guard over our children and their future marriages, and their future walks with You. Let us and our children’s households proclaim “As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord”. Transform us into vessels of Your glory and Your mercy. Deliver us from the evil one, from the many troubles, from tears and grief. Fill us with Your joy, Your hope and Your strength that our mouths will praise You always. For Yours is the Kingdom, the glory, the power forever. Amen.
Amen and Amen!!! I pray this too !!!
So many mentions of Psalm 91. My daughter has been struggling with anxiety and panic attacks that started more severely during her 1st year away at college this past year. It was so heart wrenching for me to witness and I felt so powerless. There were days I would get 10 calls a day, countless trips to pick her up, bring her home, and then back again. She always see the numbers 9:11 on the clock – I decided to pray Psalm 9:11 and Psalm 91 over her. I didn’t know anything about Psalm 91 but once I dove deeper, I realized it was a well known Psalm of protection. So I decided that was the Psalm I would memorize and pray over her. On her darkest days, when I was beyond worry, she would tell me “hey mom I saw 9:11 today”. It was like God sweet reminder to me that he has her. I got to the point where even I would randomly see 911 and my husband as well, even some of my friends. She doesn’t know the Lord but I’m trusting her spirit does. Have a blessed day ladies!
I pray that everyone have a wonderful day and that the Peace of the Lord be within your home and his Peace be within you. In Jesus Name!
Isaiah 26:3 says that God will give us perfect peace if our mind and trust is in Him, so I have focused on this verse in every aspect of my life to be my guide and reminder!
Yes, DANA… starting my prayer with “Thank you.” woulda been good. Thank you for reminding me to tell Him that I should always thank Him! I tend to forget.
Two of my fave songs, JEN B and KELLY (NEO). ❤️ (I miss that “reply” option too, JULIA C!)

I know the SRT tech team is working so hard, behind the scenes. You are seen and loved by Him and by us, Tech Team!
The first thing that came to my mind is a hymn that I love. I went to the internet, and there is a fourth verse (actually the third) that is one that was not printed the current hymnal, but it’s good too! (Aren’t all hymns and music that glorify Him and illustrate our Christian walk?!)
-1
I’m but a stranger here,
Heav’n is my home;
Earth is a desert drear,
Heav’n is my home;
Danger and sorrow stand
Round me on ev’ry hand;
Heav’n is my Fatherland,
Heav’n is my home.
-2
What tho’ the tempest rage?
Heav’n is my home;
Short is my pilgrimage,
Heav’n is my home;
Time’s cold and wintry blast
Soon will be overpast;
I shall reach home at last;
Heav’n is my home.
-3
Peace! O my troubled soul,
Heav’n is my home;
I soon shall reach the goal;
Heav’n is my home;
Swiftly the race I’ll run,
Yield up my crown to none;
Forward! the prize is won;
Heav’n is my home.
-4
There, at my Saviour’s side,
Heav’n is my home;
I shall be glorified;
Heav’n is my home;
There are the good and blest,
Those I loved most and best,
There, too, I soon shall rest,
Heav’n is my home.

Father, bless and protect my community, my county, my state, my nation and the world. I lift up Your people in Israel, especially. Our home is with You. There are many who don’t even know that. You want heaven to be over full! Help me and my sweet sisters to bring many others with us when we come home to You.
Again, last night I was in the middle of the night, trying to fall back to sleep. Scrolling through worship songs I came to this one: “Yet Not I but Through Christ in Me” It made me think of yesterday when my SWEET friend (and walk/running partner) came to me as she was exiting our school (she teaches where I work) and sat down while I had lunch and we talked and prayed together! It was such a sweet sweet time! AND I got to share with her as I am going to share with all of YOU! EXTRA work was provided!! YEP!! Suddenly they needed “someone” to clean up an extra messy (VERY MESSY) classroom and they asked if I was willing. OF course I said YES! GOD is SO GOOD! Pray I will be able to do a GOOD job and have it ready for the teacher who is coming into that classroom. Ironically, I was helping that same teacher clear out her current classroom and she was so sad as she had been in her classroom for 11 years. GOD is so good and HE gets the glory, she accepted a “hug” from me! Then later learned I would be preparing her “new” classroom! God is SO good! I am SO thankful! HAPPY WEDNESDAY sweet she’s! Its going to be a HOT one over 100 degrees!! Love it!
“Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.”
Psalms 91:1-2 NLT
As others have mentioned, Psalm 91 is also a favourite. I live in the shelter of the most High., under His wings. That brings me comfort.
I pray for my city, founded by people of strong faith in God. I pray for our city council, that they would seek Your counsel in all decisions. I pray for the people within its boundaries, that they would know this peace that passes all understanding.
I join with others in praying for Israel, I pray that through this latest conflict many hearts would turn to you, that they would realize that their Messiah has already come and is waiting to welcome them with open arms.
Dear Lord, I pray today that all who enter my home feel the faith that lives inside. I thank you for having a home when so many are homeless. I pray for my town and state leaders to lead with integrity. I pray for this country that is so divided, that personal agendas and vendettas be put aside. I pray for a world where there is so much war, conflict, and famine. Father, where is my place in all of this and what is my task. Thank you for your love, mercy and grace. Amen
Amen love this ❤️
My husband and I have taken several trips to Israel. One of the most powerful moment has been for me when our Israeli guide would take us to the southern steps of the temple and lead us up the steps slowly, one step at a time as he sang in Hebrew, one of the Psalms of Ascent. We would end at the top as we all placed our hands on the temple walls and prayed for Jerusalem. it is truly one of the most powerful and meaningful moments to me and I think of it every time I read these Psalms. I continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. I wish you could all experience this moment and maybe one day you will have that opportunity.❤️ in the meantime, we continue to pray for peace as well as for our own divided country.
Good morning sisters!
One of my favourite songs right now is “I love it here” by Anna Golden.
It’s a great song to start your quiet time with
Just Be Held – Casting Crowns
Hold it all together
Everybody needs you strong
But life hits you out of nowhere
And barely leaves you holding on
And when you’re tired of fighting
Chained by your control
There’s freedom in surrender
Lay it down and let it go
So when you’re on your knees and answers seem so far away
You’re not alone, stop holding on and just be held
Your world’s not falling apart, it’s falling into place
I’m on the throne, stop holding on and just be held
Just be held, just be held
If your eyes are on the storm
You’ll wonder if I love you still
But if your eyes are on the cross
You’ll know I always have and I always will
And not a tear is wasted
In time, you’ll understand
I’m painting beauty with the ashes
Your life is in My hands
So when you’re on your knees and answers seem so far away
You’re not alone, stop holding on and just be held
Your world’s not falling apart, it’s falling into place
I’m on the throne, stop holding on and just be held
Just be held, just be held
Lift your hands, lift your eyes
In the storm is where you’ll find Me
And where you are, I’ll hold your heart
I’ll hold your heart
Come to Me, find your rest
In the arms of the God who won’t let go
So when you’re on your knees and answers seem so far away
You’re not alone, stop holding on and just be held
Your world’s not falling apart, it’s falling into place
I’m on the throne, stop holding on and just be held
(Stop holding on and just be held)
Just be held, just be held
Just be held, just be held
That’s a good song ☺️
❤️
Good Morning She’s!
I have just started scripture memorization in the last 2 years, hiding the word in my heart. It is quite challenging for me, I have always had deficiency with my recalling, but I am working at it…and trying to recall the ones I learned last year, it’s so hard. I can sum up though many of the scriptures in my own words though. But the first one I chose to memorize was Psalms 55:22 “Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. And the first one for this year was Isaiah
41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
I like songs that have scripture in them, but two came to mind this morning Home by Chris Tomlin and Promise Land by Tobymac, both speaking of our future home with the Lord.
Praying a blanket prayer over all of you this morning. I am leading the lesson at jail ministry today..so if you would pray for our ladies today to receive it. Love ya’ll.
Psalm 16:8
I know the Lord is always with me.
I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.
Psalm 62:1-2
I wait quietly before God,
for my victory comes from him.
2 He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will never be shaken.
Isaiah 26:3
You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you.
John 14:27
“I am leaving you with a gift — peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.
John 16:33
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
Romans 15:13
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
I love the comfort of making my home in God. His protection and provision are so secure. I carry this home in Him everywhere I go, which is so reassuring too.
Ps 91 and 27. We are on vacation and I love being here but I always remember that feeling when we are finally home. I am certain that when I finally arrive Home with Jesus I will feel that feeling a million times more.
Father, I pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Please be with this war and give leaders wisdom on both sides protect the innocent.
I also pray for my hometown. I pray for wisdom for the leaders of the cities and state. I pray that you will show me how I can be your hands and feet to those around me. Thank you Lord. In Jesus’ name.
Psalm 46 comes to mind, as well as Hebrews 4.16.
Thankfully this world is not our home, it is with God in heaven. While we pass through, we seek The welfare of those around us and bring them to the Kingdom!
Psalm 27 is one of my most loved.
Psalm 84 comes to mind as I think of my dwelling place with God where it’s safe and secure.
Lord, I pray for our city, state, nation and this world, that you would move upon us bringing greater peace and unity. That we would see more of how we’re alike that different. And yet, in our differences is where the beauty of our uniqueness can be found how you knit each of us together specially for your glory. Lord we ask protection from the evil one that you give him no authority over our people and that you draw us all closer to you. That your love that’s inside of us spills over to one another. Thank you Lord for being my rock and refuge and my strength during these times. Help me be a light to others reflecting your love, grace, and peace to others. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen
The north of Israel is currently on fire from Hezbollah rockets. This is one of the Psalms Jewish people use to pray in times such as this.
Peace to our brothers and sisters in Christ living in Israel today. Peace to the land.
Dear father, I come to you this morning with a humble prayer not only for my house, but for my town and for my country. We live in uncertain times, and it seems that at every turn, there is chaos. We to look up to you, Jehovah Tsuri— the Lord My Rock, to find the peace and comfort that only you can provide. You are our strong foundation, unshakeable and unbreakable. Father, may we always remember this, but especially during the times we we need comfort and peace in our lives. May we not be distracted by the chaos and lose sight that what truly matters is YOU, Lord. I pray for our protection, I pray for clarity for our leaders to make the right decisions for those they lead. And for those who do not know you, to come to your Lord. Thank you for your grace, mercy and compassion, Father. In your Most High name we pray. Amen.
Amen
Amen.
The more I learn about God and his word the more my heart grows for Israel and the Jewish people. It’s the strangest thing, that I can only attribute to the Holy Spirit bc prior to Oct. 7, I would experience deep longing or grief over them, wanting them to know Jesus. I felt a strong draw to the actual land and began to look up trips. I remember when I was little asking my parents to go and they would say no, it’s too dangerous. Today when I saw this prayer I thought as a Christian people we would be remissed if we did not use this opportunity to pray for actual Israel. There is a cease fire on the table and I pray today that peace will be accepted in Israel. That i can rejoice with those who said to me, let us go to the house of the Lord! That one day my feet can stand in the gates of Jerusalem with no fear, bc of the peace within the walls.
Thank you Lanie for this reminder to pray for Israel and the Jewish people!❤️
Psalm 27, especially Psalm 27:4 is mine— “One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.” This verse, and the imagery, always gives me a sense of comfort and protection. To me it is the ultimate expression of coming home to Jesus.
Wow that’s so good thanks for sharing
CHERYL S – praying for the safe return of Alana
RITA ANN – praying for your daughter’s surgery to go well today
Two songs came to mind to me:
Homecoming by Cory Asbury
Lord, I confess that I’ve been a criminal
I’ve stolen Your breath and sang my own song
And Lord, I confess that I’m far from innocent
These shackles I wear I bought on my own
The scarlet sins had a crimson cost
You nailed my debt to that old rugged cross
An empty slate at the empty grave
Thank God that stone was rolled away
Lord, I confess I’ve been the prodigal
Made for Your house but walked my own roads
Then Jesus came, He tore down my prison walls
Death came to life when He called me by name
Scarlеt sins had a crimson cost
You nailed my debt to that old rugged cross
An еmpty slate at the empty grave
Thank God that stone was rolled
And I can see it now
Smiling in Heaven, You and I, You and I
And I see bright crimson robes draped over the ashes
A wide open tomb where there should be a casket
The children are singing and dancing and laughing
The Father is welcoming
This is our homecoming
Roses in bloom pushed up from the embers
Rivers of tears flow from good times remembered
Families are singing and dancing and laughing
The Father is welcoming
This is our homecoming
Heaven joins in with a glorious sound
And the great cloud of witnesses all gather ’round
‘Cause the ones that were lost are finally found
The Father is welcoming
This is our homecoming
Scarlet sins had a crimson cost
You nailed my debt to that old rugged cross
An empty slate at the empty grave
Thank God that stone was rolled
Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh
The Father is welcoming
This is our homecoming
Can you see it now?
Standing on the shores of Heaven
You and I and our families
Singing and dancing and laughing
There’s truly no place like home
Yeah
Jesus, You’re so beautiful
See Him face-to-face
Can we sing that bridge together one last time?
I see bright crimson robes
I see bright crimson robes draped over the ashes
A wide open tomb where there should be a casket
And children are singing and dancing and laughing
The Father is welcoming
This is our homecoming

Who You Say I Am by Hillsong Worship
Who am I that the highest King would welcome me?
I was lost, but He brought me in
Oh His love for me
Oh His love for me
Who the Son sets free
Oh, is free indeed
I’m a child of God, yes, I am
Free at last, He has ransomed me
His grace runs deep
While I was a slave to sin, Jesus died for me
Yes, He died for me
Who the Son sets free
Oh is free indeed
I’m a child of God, yes, I am
In my Father’s house
There’s a place for me
I’m a child of God, yes, I am
I am chosen, not forsaken
I am who You say I am
You are for me, not against me
I am who You say I am
Megan D: I read your comment yesterday but didn’t get a chance to respond. I also have low egg reserves and have been going through IVF. It has been a long, tough, and expensive journey. We aren’t done yet so I can’t tell you that it has resulted in us having a baby. All I can say is to continue to pray about it and look for support from family and friends. Talking to others has helped me so much during this process. My husband has been such a trooper through all of this too. I pray for God to give us a baby, but I also pray for peace if that’s not in his plan. I will pray for you during this journey!

“fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Isaiah 41:10 in February this verse was a reminder and comfort knowing God was with me and my strength. I need to continually be reminded and release my strength and rely on him. A song of comfort in hard times has been Crowder’s anchor. Knowing He is my anchor gives me comfort and reminds who is with me.
For anyone battered
For any heart shattered
For anyone sinkin’ down
Hold on, hold on
For all of the sinners
For the weary and weathered
Thrown and tossed, hope is lost
Hold on, hold on
There’s an anchor
In the rage of the storm
When the walls are closin’ in
In the darkness all alone
Just prayin’ for the daylight
Peace for the soul
There is grace for the mornin’
When you feel like letting go
There’s an anchor
There’s an anchor
To all who have faltered
There is an altar
And bring your plea on bended knee
Bow down, bow down
All you sons and daughters
Run to the Father
You’re not too far from open arms
Come home, come home
‘Cause there is an anchor
In the rage of the storm
When the walls are closin’ in
In the darkness all alone
Just prayin’ for the daylight
Peace for the soul
There’s grace for the mornin’
When you feel like letting go
Oh, there is an anchor
There’s an anchor
Ooh, there’s an anchor, ooh-oh
There is an anchor, oh, oh, oh
Just a touch, You calm me
Just a whisper, You love me
Without judgement, You hold me
No one ever has known me
You made me
There’s an anchor
Holdin’ time in His hands
A rock you can stand on
A mercy without end
Ooh, a love that’s eternal
Bore all of our sin
A King that is comin’
The Great I Am
He is the anchor
Oh, He is the anchor, oh
Ooh, He is the anchor
Oh-oh, He is the anchor
Of my soul
He is the anchor
He is the anchor
Of my soul
He is the anchor
There’s no place like home … how many times have we heard those words? It has been said countless times through the ages as people longed for the comfort and stability of a familiar place with their loved ones, long before 1939 when Dorothy clicked her heels and repeated it. For us, that place is heaven, in God’s perfect timing. Meanwhile, as I look at the chaos and godlessness in the world today, I’m praying for every heart to be willing to turn to Jesus.
Too many songs that bring to sift through in my mind right now – will have to ponder.
KAREN ROPER & TRICIA C – Psalm 91 is one of my favorites as well! Somehow the “reply to” button doesn’t appear anymore…
I love Psalm 91!!!
Me too!
“Home” does’t always refer to a specific place. One can have many homes, depending on the people who live there or the memories that were made. Because in the end, we all long for “home” to be the place where we are fully known and truly loved.
This song (Known & Loved) from CityAlight came to mind….
—
**Verse 1**
God you were there from my beginning
For I was crafted by your hands
You see my hopes and hesitations
My days are written in your plan
**Verse 2**
If you have seen my weakest moments
And still you love me even then
I need no greater confirmation
That God your goodness has no end
**Chorus**
I come to Jesus, lay down my weakness
No need for hiding, here in His light
This truth I treasure, my peace forever
Is being known and loved by Him
**Verse 3**
I trust with Jesus it is finished
For He has paid my every debt
No need to pull it all together
For what is broken He will mend
**Verse 4**
Though I can’t see the path before me
I know the one who knows the way
And as I walk His hand will guide me
Until I see Him face to face
—
“Home” for me means being fully known and truly loved by Him until I see Him face to face.

Dear Father,
Thank You for being our Home, our Refuge, our Peace.
I pray for restoration of broken relationships.
I pray for our earthly homes to be a safe place.
I pray for our hearts to be a home where Your Holy Spirit dwells.
Lead us on the path before us, trusting the One who knows and is the Way.
In Jesus’ name,
AMEN.

Psalm 91 is mine also, Karen.
This psalm is an intercessory pray for the people. In reading this, and then reading the suggested writings, I realize I need to have more intercessory prayer time.
Blessed Wednesday Dear Sisters!
Merciful Father,
We have forgotten to love and diligently pursue Truth, therefore there is no peace in this nation! Please place godly leaders over us in every office from the White House to the county seat that will glorify You, until the Lord Jesus comes to rule permanently and turn our hearts back to You.
Amen
Amen
