BY She Reads Truth

Since 2012, She Reads Truth has maintained a singular mission: to be women in the Word of God every day. Ten years later, our community includes “Shes” from across the globe, but our mission hasn’t changed.

Reading Scripture together is the centerpiece of what we do at She Reads Truth. As we spend time as a community reading This Is The Church, we encourage you to start by reading the daily Scripture on your  own. Then join us here to engage and encourage one another as we respond to what we’ve read. Each day for this series, we’ll include a brief summary of the reading along with a prompt for conversation.

The Church is a new priesthood, different from the priesthood of the Old Testament. Jesus Christ is our High Priest who leads us in offering our lives in worship as a living sacrifice to God.

Today, along with responding to the reading, share with the community in the comments what part of the world you are reading from.

Hebrews 13:15 stood out to me today (and continuing to verse 16) “15 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise-the fruit of lips that confess his name. 16 And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” Jesus was the final sacrifice requiring the spilling of blood, and with Him now as High Priest and Christ followers as His royal priesthood, our sacrifices that please God are praise, confessing the name of Jesus, and doing good and sharing the good news with others. May I be faithful to pour out my life as a living sacrifice in that way.
Reading and responding (a week late) from Colorado.
