Genesis 1:31

Scripture is God breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry His Word with us wherever we go.

This week we will memorize the key verse for the book of Genesis, a declaration of God’s satisfaction with all of His creation.

God saw all that he had made, and it was very good indeed.
—Genesis 1:31a

God is good – all the time. Everything He does, everything He makes is good. Man messes everything up. He is sinful, there is nothing good in him. God sends His son, Jesus. Jesus took our sin to the cross. He bled and died and rose again. He had victory over sin. Man is rescued, redeemed, sin is covered by the blood. Everything is good again.

    Happy Sunday She’s. ❤️

Can you imagine God seeing all he created and that it was good and how we treat it?? It grieves me. It grieves me that I took so much for granted when I was younger. When I look around and see people living selfish lives and not giving one thought to our Creator. I grieve for them.

God help me to be a better believer. To share your word. To be an example of your love. For I can only do this through You.

    1. Searching says:

Same, Traci. My first thought after reading this verse was, What a mess we’ve made of things …

    But God- Rich in Mercy!

I am thankful he is a God of unending Mercies and Grace! And chances. He is a good, good Father, trying to give his children, his daughter, the unending love but to be trained up right. Boy, I’m I a stubborn, stiff-necked child sometimes- definitely not the good he saw on the 7th day! And it grieves my heart thinking of how HIS HEART must grieve at his creation today!! But God- all-knowing isn’t surprised I suppose, but must shake his head continually and think “I even sent them Jesus, and the Bible…and they don’t even read it. They have my best, and they don’t want it!”

I, for one, am so glad I finally saw the light, and am “right” and “clean” through Jesus, even “righteous!!” “Holy!” THROUGH JESUS!! Nothing I can do on my own to achieve it, no striving, no perfect round! Although I think it makes my Father smile and proud when we are “living our best lives with Him and Jesus!” We want to be about our Father’s business!! I know I am the most fulfilled when I am in alignment with Him and seeing Him move in other people! He is-
the balm for the broken hearted
the love we long for to fill that heart
    the beauty from the ashes,
the joy in the mourning! And the JOY throughout the day!!

He is my peace in the valley, my hope I cling to. He is the hug when needed, the anchor in the Storm, and the rainbow in the distance!!

And this is why I hide his word in my heart, scripture in my mind…that it comes so easily the promises of my Lord and Savior.

Have a wonderful Sunday my friends! Let’s join in on our FB page! I have requested that people leave their testimonies because it is good to tell! I think everyone should have “a reason ready to give” when the need arises to share our love for Jesus! Practice and writing it out is good! Sharing brings his people more Faith and Joy!! Let’s magnify our Savior by telling how he has changed our life!! Love ya’ll!

  8. Kelly (NEO) says:

Thank You, Jesus for testoring those who have called on your name to be “good” in the eyes of God.
    .
    Rejoice with the Redeemed today.

  9. Cathy Miller says:

This is the only time that man is called good. After chapter 3, God no longer describes him as good — humanity is tainted by sin.

  10. Mary Ann Graves says:

We were made in the image of God. Amen

  11. Tina says:

The wonder of the birth of my children is probably as close to what God felt, when He had seen what He had made, and absolutely thought it was very good!❤
    .
What amazes me most, is that, that feeling still rings true for God today! I mean, even in the early days He was saddened, and yet.. His loving heart kept on loving!
    .
Fast forward some centuries and decades later, He is still loving but is now making changes to what has now become irredeemable. The joy has now become heart breaking. Enter Noah..
    .
    BUT GOD.
    .
Though He made a covenant with Noah, through the restoring of His people on the arc, we continue to be ‘wrong ‘uns still.!
What amazes me is He still sees us and all creation as good..
    .
    He hasn’t changed.
    .
He still loves us as fiercely, as ‘ in the beginning’
    .
He sees us still in the beauty He saw, when He first created.
    .
He sent His Beloved Son, Jesus, to cover our sins and failures, so we would be brought back to Him, brought close to Him..
    .
He loves us, oh, how He loves us, oh, how He loves…
    .
Dearest Father God, I will and am forever thankful for your love and the seventy times seven, and then some times, you forgive us and STILL say, it is good, over us. Thank you for the greatest showing of your love for us, JESUS Christ, and all He endured for us so we can know you and Your amazing, forgiving, faithful through the ages love, and grace..grace.. and more grace..
Lord may I endeavour to be as ‘good’ as you see me throughout this week and beyond..
I love you Lord.. Thank you.. Thank you. Thank you from a grateful heart..
    .
    Amen..
    .
    Happy Sunday you beauties..❤
