Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.
As we continue to memorize Romans 8:14–17, we’ll add verse 16, which points us to the Spirit who echoes that believers are indeed God’s children.
14 For all those led by God’s Spirit are God’s sons. 15 For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear. Instead, you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father!” 16 The Spirit himself testifies together with our spirit that we are God’s children, 17 and if children, also heirs—heirs of God and coheirs with Christ—if indeed we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him.
—Romans 8:14–17

Knowing that I am a child of God, and nothing can ever grab me out of His hands gives me immense comfort and peace. And being joint-heirs with Jesus, my Savior. That is a reality that seems impossible … but God… makes it so.
@Teresa praying for you son and for your husband during this time away! What a great experience! @Sarah D. praying for you and your job decision! Hope it’s been going well.
Hi Theresa, my son had a job, for a non-profit, that required a lot of traveling. His son wasn’t much older than your’s, and would get angry. Just a thought, how about, with your help, he makes a little journal and puts one or two things in it each day until your husband comes home. He could then share “his adventures” with his dad. Could even just be a drawing. Blessings for your family.
Amen
What a promise! Praise God!

THERESA – Thanks! I plan to take a true Sabbath today! I can’t believe your husband has completed half of his time. Praying for him as he teaches and ministers, for you (patience, wisdom, strength) as you deal with everything in his absence, and especially for your sweet 5 year old’s heart to understand that daddy will be back before he knows it and he will have lots of stories to share.
Have a blessed day, SHES!
I’m so thankful that God doesn’t leave us on our own. He gives us the Holy Spirit and when we question our place in his family and plan, he gently reminds us that we aren’t just a distant relative; we are his sons and daughters. Heirs to all the promises that came before.
KATIE L and AIMEE ROGERS- praying for your custody battles. Praying for wisdom for the judges who will hear your cases and that the best interest of the children involved will prevail.
CEE GEE- praying for you to be rested and refreshed from VBS.
We’re halfway through my husband’s time in Zimbabwe. He’s been able to work closely with the team there and teach them a lot about roasting coffee. Please keep him in prayer as he works to teach his craft and also minister with the missions team. I’d also appreciate prayer for my middle child. He’s five years old and very close to his dad. He’s having a very tough time with him being gone so long and the challenge of not being able to just call him whenever he wants to. The last couple of days he’s been acting out a lot, which I completely understand. Please pray for his little heart and that I have patience with him and know how to respond. Thanks, ladies! Have a wonderful Sunday!
Amen!

What a blessing to be called His heirs in Christ! ❤️
“See what great love the Father has given us that we should be called God’s children—and we are!” 1 John 3:1
Enjoy His presence today!
Happy Sabbath SHE’s!! Praise God from whom all blessings flow – we are His children and our spirit testifies with God the Spirit that we are His children. Amen!!
