Been feeling left out of late in family and even friendships, and I’m so grateful to find comfort in being God’s beloved, as well as a community where I feel like I belong! ❤️

  2. Lauren Garza says:

He makes us clean. He provides. He is life. He provides life. He’s living water. He feels that. He gives us our portion. He is present. He is love. He loved us first. He is god. He has Conquered all. He is greater.

  3. Oceanna King says:

10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. – 1 John 4:10

  4. Latavia Freeman says:

    Day 1❤️

  5. Mary Allen says:

    ❤️

  6. Ana Campagna says:

    ❤️

  7. mckenzie helmuth says:

It seems so simple-to love our brother. But it is so easy to learn to hate in this world. I pray that I love because god is love & he loved us first. That is one of his commandments for us & highest callings.

  8. Emily Munguia says:

A lot taken away from Gods love and the way we view love through god!

  9. Christy Newton says:

    Day 1

  10. Briana Young says:

First day! 364 days to go! Thanks be to God!

  11. Hannah Childress says:

My last comment had a ton of typos — whoops. So again, my takeaway is that being called “Beloved” by God is a reminder that we are dearly loved by him, and his call for us to love our brother and sisters is out of the love he has for us. Take comfort in being God’s Beloved today.

  12. Carol Bowman says:

7Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.

  13. Sarah Johnson says:

You can never learn and think about love too much! I love the logic and reasoning here too that we are from god, god is love, so if we say we are Christians and live with God then love must be at the core of who we are

  14. E Hong says:

16So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

    1. Sharon Ide says:

I focused on the same verse 16 of 1 John 4. This tells us that the ultimate fellowship with God, Him abiding in us and us abiding in Him, comes in love. May we not be clanging symbols or noisy gongs but true disciples and children of God.

  15. Michelle Chen says:

A good reminder for me today:

18There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.

  16. Bobbi T-B says:

We love because he first loved us! Nothing we could have done, said, or thought , could have brought us to know love with God. It is only because of the love that He so graciously poured on and into us that we are able to seek and love Him back. PRAISE be to God!

  17. Steph C says:

“Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love” (1 John 4:18). Fear of God. Fear of others. Fear of the future. Fear of the past. These things used to hold me captive. I was paralyzed by fear. Knowing that I desperately needed God but terrified of Him. But He shone His love into my fearful heart. He showed me love. He forgave me and welcomed me. Now I belong to Him. I have no need to fear. God loves me. He has a plan for me. I am free to love Him and others.

  18. Alli Habe says:

    Love this direct message:
And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.
No matter how hard this can be!

  19. Baylee Smithson says:

Great message today! I think it’s easy to be hateful, and to be of the world but these verses make us remember to love others and forgive no matter what the circumstance because God so loves us.

  20. Abigail says:

18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.

I love this verse…it makes me revaluate my life and things I haven’t done out of fear.

  21. Jessica says:

God loves us more than we could ever imagine therefore that means that we should love one another because we need to remember to ask ourselves what would Jesus do and then do it to show Gods love for others

  22. Amanda says:

1 John 4: 19 We love because he first loved us. 20 If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.

    1. Rebecca says:

This is a powerful message that I need to remind myself daily! I must love any other as God loves me ❤️

  23. Lauren S says:

The water coming out of the temple in Ezekiel reminded me that all life comes from God and it all goes back to him. I loved this imagery today and thought it resonated beautifully with the reading in John, which I love.

  24. Laura says:

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: BECAUSE GREATER IS HE THAT IS IN YOU, than he that is in the world.”

  25. Katrina says:

Yes! In Ezekiel 48, God named the city “the Lord is here” to remind us of his love and how we don’t have to go searching for it.

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

I LOVE THIS VERSE! Fear is such a wasted feeling – having trust instead and loving life and others no matter what is the goal! I’ve lived in Fear and Lead WITH Fear and it shows no trust and no caring and brings no positivity back to us!

    1. Clare says:

Thank you Katrina this really resonates with me today!

      1. Lauren S says:

        Loved this too

  26. Stac says:

“…but perfect Love drives out fear….”
    1 Jn. 4:18

  27. Chandler says:

Great reading this morning! What an inspirational way to start the day :)

  28. Kara says:

So much beauty in 1 John today!

  29. Anna says:

I just can’t get over how awesome it is that God named the city “The Lord is There”. How crazy is it that the creator of the universe would desire to be so present with us, to restore us, to redeem us. His presence among us gives me so much peace. We don’t have to search for our God because He sought us out! ❤️
