Romans 8:14-17

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.

We’ll add verse 17, to finish up our memorization of Romans 8:14–17. It’s a reminder that, as God’s children, we are also coheirs with Christ.

14 For all those led by God’s Spirit are God’s sons. 15 For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear. Instead, you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father!” 16 The Spirit himself testifies together with our spirit that we are God’s children, 17 and if children, also heirs—heirs of God and coheirs with Christ—if indeed we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him.
—Romans 8:14–17

@Rhonda J. My heart goes out to you in this situation with your grandson, and with his little sister. I am praying with you for God to intervene in Brayden’s life, that he will be treated by Christian caregivers in the hospital and when he comes home. God, please with Brayden and comfort the confusion on his mind. May You, God, break the stronghold Satan may have in his mind and life. Open Brayden’s heart and mind to Your love and forgiveness. Father, also bless his little sister, remove the fear and confusion that such family problems can cause. Be with Rhonda J, that she will have the words to say to her granddaughter that will ease her mind, and let her know that God is with her and her family. God, please bless Rhonda J with pease, knowing that she and her family are in Your hands, and that You can work miraculously in all situations. May she be blessed with wisdom to know how to help her family, and thank You for giving her the courage to share her story, and ask for prayers from us SRT sisters. Give her comfort, and let her lean on Your strength. In the Loving Name of Jesus, Amen.

Oh, in agreement with these prayers! Lord, please do what only You can do for these sisters and their families. May we hear testimonies of what You are doing, and may Your Name be glorified and praised by all in these situations, those who read or hear about what You do, and may they tell others, so they too may turn to You and be changed! Thank You, God!
Please bless these ladies that are praying and sharing their stories! I heard of a woman that ended up in a mental hospital too. She was diagnosed bipolar. She is thriving, speaking, writing, and serving Jesus! God, I pray for those we know with mental illness, like my friend, Lisa. I too, have experienced torment in my mind. Please God intervene in their/our lives and may they/we find comfort, freedom, and joy and love and serve you no matter what the diagnosis. Ladies, Please pray for Lisa and others too! Amen

Hello she’s, I am coming on to join you guys in prayers.

@LIZZIE: praying that the Lord who sees your situation will stretch our His hand and deliver you/fight your battle, and draw you closer to Him. May your crisis be the opportunity His glory comes through strong. May He open your eyes to know His goodness and grace amidst suffering, and turn things around for your good, for His Name’s sake. Don’t give up, keep pushing through ok. And by pushing through I mean, stand still, and know that He is God, His Name is Jesus- literal meaning the Lord who saves. He will save you.
@MICHELLE: praying for clarity on direction and details of the upcoming move, may He provide everything for you, including mental strength and joy, new connections.
@VICTORIA E: for your work, may favour come.
@SHARON JERSEY GIRL: may a rental apartment be available for your sister.
@RHONDA : I am so sorry that happened Rhonda. Joining other she’s praying over Braydon. May any mental illness, demonic oppression be cast out of Braydon by the power of the blood of the Lord Jesus. May anything that causes this, wherever it may come from, may God’s Hand uproot it, may He hasten to perform it. We pray in agreement with our sisters that health and wholeness (both mental and physical) to be the portion for Braydon. Peace, unity, love and protection will be the portion for his family. We pray against any form of mental illness, against strife and discord, against depression, against temper and arguments/conflicts to happen in the family. Father, cover our children/grandchildren with the blood of the Lord Jesus, don’t let them be given over to the power of Satan, cover them with Your mighty hand and draw them to You, keep them tight in the palm of Your hand. Don’t allow the hand of the devil to pluck them. Incline our children/grandchildren’s hearts toward You that they shall walk under God’s covering. Let every demonic work in their lives be destroyed now. By faith we believe that it is done, that Braydon is safe and delivered, he shall have a sound mind, he shall come home and be released… by Your grace, and his family shall be healed, restored and happy. In Jesus’ mighty name.

    Be blessed dear sisters!

  8. Michelle Patire says:

Thank you everyone for your prayers and support. <3

@Rhonda J – God be near to your whole family. He is there with your grandson. I was in a mental hospital twice. I could feel the prayers of those who loved me being poured out over me the first time I went in. God moved so much that one of the people in there saw the love of God in me and asked if he could come to the church I go to. He did come for a while and people in my church ministered to him. God was moving powerfully, despite my conditions.
The second time I was in the hospital, a girl who was my roommate for a few days wanted to do Bible studies with me. At the time, I could barely think or pray because of the heavy medication they forced me to take and the deception of the enemy. But that girl spoke the Word over me and prayed for me, holding my hands as I cried in my heart for Jesus. I say all this to say- God is with your Brayden. Prayers are heard. Jesus is answering. We love you, Rhonda J. Keep your chin up and keep pressing into God. You are mighty through Him!

Love you ladies. Your prayers are so important to me. Someone spoke encouragement over me when I went up for prayer at church today. It was a blessing. She said she felt the Lord just loving on me as I walked up to her. *cries* lol

  9. Mari V says:

@Lizzie, Praying for you sweet girl. As you can see, here, you are being covered in prayer you are precious to us, and even more precious to our God. Remember, you are wonderfully and fearfully made. You are precious to Jesus. Psalm 139:13-14

  10. Mari V says:

@Rhonda J, as soon as I read your comment, I went straight to Jesus! My heart ached, knowing this is happening to you and your family right now. I prayed for your precious little 10-year-old granddaughter. And I’m so glad that she knew to reach out to you. I may not have experienced what their little family is experiencing, but seven years ago, my family did experience trauma in our home, police and all, that led to the arrest of my children’s father. My daughter was 10 years old. PLEASE, know, I am praying for you and your family. Praying for all those that will be involved in the healing of your family. And I echo the prayers of many here for the doctors and nurses involved that they would know how to help your family.

  11. Searching says:

Abba, Father! We love You, and praise Your Holy Name! We thank You for Your love for each of us. We desperately need You as we bring our sisters needs & circumstances to You, as well as the needs in our own lives. Lord, we ask for Your protection of Brayden, RHONDA J’s grandson, that You provide a Christian medical & mental health team to walk with him through the healing process, that You draw his family to You and that they realize their need for a savior in Christ. We ask, Lord, that Your will and guidance become crystal clear to MICHELLE PATIRE, that You give her peace in her heart and mind as she discerns Your direction for her life. And Lord, we pray for You to calm the feelings of being troubled and overwhelmed that our sister LIZZIE is feeling, that you guide her, Lord, in Your perfect plan for her life, that You give her wisdom in her circumstances and guidance in her choices. Most of all, Lord God, we pray that she will feel Your love for her and Your closeness to her. Be with LYNNE FROM AL and NANCY S as they care for their husbands. Protect those that are missing from our recent studies – You know their needs. Thank You, Lord.

  19. Rhonda J. says:

GM, and Happy Sunday She’s to you!
My heart is heavy this morning, I need prayers for my grandson Brayden please. He is barely 15, and rebellious against his parents for reasons he doesn’t even understand, yet we do, It is an overall sad situation for him. But it came to head once again yesterday and he was taken away in an ambulance in a straight jacket for not cooperating. I know all this because his 10 yr old sister called me scared while it was happening. It breaks my heart, although it was probably the best for the safety of all. He will probably be taken to a mental hospital and remain for awhile. But please pray for protection and strength for him, and an intervention with helpful doctor/nurses. For God to intervene and help turn this around. Prayers for the whole family, that the parents will turn to God, and that my little granddaughter’s heart remains tender rather than hardening against her brother. Thank you so much.
