Mourning and Dancing

Scripture teaches that “there is an occasion for everything, and a time for every activity under heaven” (Ec 3:1), including seasons where we lament our suffering. Though it is often an unwelcome and unwanted reality, for those of us who have placed our eternal hope in Christ, we know there are incomparable gifts to be found in times of sorrow. And while we suffer, lament, or grieve, we may even discover unexpected reasons to dance.
