Take this day to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord.
I want their hearts to be encouraged and joined together in love, so that they may have all the riches of complete understanding and have the knowledge of God’s mystery—Christ. In him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
—Colossians 2:2–3

Amen ❤️
♥️
Today I decided to read yesterday‘s Devo about blessings and curses.
Amen! Happy Saturday She’s ❤️❤️
❤️
Wishing all a good weekend. Thank you @ Searching for making the rest of the story available to us. Good to get the bigger picture.
❤✝️
QUICK RECAP:
This week we have learned about:
1) Folly and Wisdom
2) The Fear of God
3) What God Hates
4) The Commands of God
5) Blessings and Curses
Now, what will we do with this knowledge?
.
I, too, read through Colossians 2 and this passage stood out to me as confirmation of all we have read and discussed this week:
“2:6-
And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. 7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.”
.
Later Paul warns against the false teachers and following worldly examples and ‘rules’-
V.23
“These rules may seem wise because they require strong devotion, pious self-denial, and severe bodily discipline. But they provide no help in conquering a person’s evil desires.”
.
RHONDA J kind of echoed verse 23 in her comments about being so focused on the body and the time and discipline involved that takes away from time with the Lord.
.
I pray that these teachings reach each of our hearts and that we allow the Holy Spirit to build our confidence in sharing the Word and the Foundation of the Word, Jesus Christ.
.
Warren Wiersbe said re: verse 2-
“All of us are not called to be apostles, but each one of us does have a God-given ministry. We can share the gospel and be soul-winners. We can suffer for Christ and fulfill the ministry God has given us. We can strive in prayer for God’s people and encourage them to mature. Paul took time to minister to individuals; note the repetition of “every man” in 1:28. If we minister to even a few believers, we are helping the whole church.”
.
Sisters, that’s us! Grab hold of (and share)the strength the Word offers us daily!
.
Love, hugs, and prayers! ❤
❤️
❤️ so good!
❤️
❤️ thank you for your reflections
<3
AMEN!!!
GOOD morning and HAPPY Saturday sweet She’s! Almost made it to 7 hours of sleep, but feel great! As we join together daily, I am encouraged, to “hide God’s WORD” in my heart joined by “all” you sweet She’s “together.” Even if I don’t meet you on this side of heaven I am so encouraged to know someday we will.
I have loved this study so far and have not missed a day!
This has been our verse for our 21 days CB of prayer this month. “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.”
John 15:4 NKJV
https://bible.com/bible/114/jhn.15.4.NKJV
This just seems to go with today’s verse! The secret is abiding in Him!
Praying for all! Rhonda, Gene and you are on my heart this morning.
“…hearts to be encouraged and joined together in love..”
.
One of the ways that this can happen is if we purpose in our hearts to spend more time with the body of Christ. Once a week is not enough! We need to be with one another which allows us to really get to know one another, therefore we can pray for one another more specifically.
.
In this day and age everyone is so busy with activities and things that really in the scheme of things are meaningless. But building up one another in the faith is so important and needed – we must not neglect it. I wish our church “got it” and made it a priority – it is so, so vital.
.
If you are one who hasn’t been “present” in the body – more than just on Sundays, would you consider making it a priority. The blessings will be amazing!
.
I wish our church body did it more, it would be so encouraging to me, my husband and our ministry…just some food for thought.

Happy Saturday…Sunday’s coming! ❤️
Sharon, does your church have Life groups? Wonderful way to build relationships in small groups! ❤
I’d rather have the old fashioned Sunday school, not a fan of life groups
Our Sunday School class is awesome, too! ❤
Well, I had a big comment but it’s not here! But it was talking about the huge difference in my spiritual walk from my church up north that I only attended once a week on Sundays, and my church here where I was determined to find a church that served the community. And that we had to get in life groups! My groups have been instrumental on studying the Bible together and my prayer warriors, and to encourage each other. Like here, but meeting together in person is wonderful!
Ditto with ours! ❤
The wisdom and knowledge of Christ is truly such a gift in our lives. And, its ongoing learning, not becoming complacent but always pressing on to be firm ly rooted in the Lord.
Thank you Lord for your Word that leads us, guides us, shapes us and points us to us. Encourage the hearts of these sisters who desire to know you and live for you. Amen
I would appreciate your prayers as I begin the drive on my own today to see my daughter, her husband and meet our new grandson. :)❤️ Its a 9 hr drive and I’m dividing it over 2 days, staying with a friend almost half way. Lots of things to pray for and trust the Lord for in the next few weeks…. that there would be great joy in this precious time for our family, that I could be of support, help and encouragement to my daughter and her husband, for safe travels, that my fatigue would be managed, for my health to remain stable and no issues arise. On paper, I do have health insurance but the fine print is, I am not 3 months out from a diagnosed medical condition that required surgery/treatment and in the world of health insurance that essentially means I will be out of luck. I do not anticipate anything happening and we are just trusting and praying that all will be well and that God’s hand is over me and will richly bless this time. I may not have great internet/wifi connections but will join in when I can. Thank you. Blessings SRT sisters
Oh I am so thrilled for you to meet your first Grandbaby!!!! What a special time, praying for your travels and your health. I kinda like traveling by myself because I sing praises music and listen to podcasts!! But, today I’m gonna be thankful my hubby is driving (I’m gonna, gonna, gonna be thankful…yes, yes)!
Love you dear sister!!! Please share some pictures on our FB group, that’s why I created it so we can see photos!!!!
If any are new and want to join our FB group, it is under SRT-SHE’S. It is private so nothing will be shared on public Fb! I would love more interaction, prayer requests AND TESTIMONIES!!!
I was gonna suggest a photo post too, Rhonda. Yes, Wendy, please post a pic. (Imagine baby face emoji!)
Prayers for safe traveling mercies – and lots of wonderful time with your new grandbaby! Praying that your health will remain stable and that there will be no need for doctor visits while you are away.
Prayers lifted Wendy B!
I was just praying for you this morning, Wendy, and was wondering if you were getting it worked out to go see and hold that precious new grandson! I’m so excited for you! Praying for safe travels, good health, and a wonderful time of blessings with your daughter and new grandson! ❤️
I’m praying for safe travels and good health for you Wendy!
WENDY B- YES!!! Prayers for safety on the road, no medical issues, and meaningful and memorable family time, especially precious moments with your first grandchild! What a blessing!!! Thankful you are staying with a friend halfway! ❤
Prayers Wendy! Enjoy that precious baby! ❤️
Praying Wendy ❤️
Thank you for your prayer.
You are so brave! Praying Wendy that all goes well for this super long drive (alone?), and a wonderful time with your grand baby. Please keep us posted when you arrive. Hugs and prayers dear Wendy.
Amen❤️
In a culture that is all about pursuing knowledge—go to college, you need college…it’s a must for success- You would think more people would realize that knowledge is in the Bible!! Right?
I love to read books, as a matter of fact I usually read up to 80 or so books a year, for years! It wasn’t until 2014 that I started reading the Bible. There was dust on my Bible before that. (have you heard the song “Dust on our Bibles?”) How can we be knowledgeable about God and his promises, his ways, and his truth if we don’t even read his word? Well, we can’t, but there is a high percentage of Christians that still don’t. I had plenty of time to read, lots of time when you look at those books at the end of the year, but now seem like such a waste of time! Just like working out diligently all those years, if only I had put that much time into my spiritual life! Because my body went to crap in a handbag anyway. (eyeroll) Do you know your arms will still sag no matter how many tricep exercises you do? It’s true.
BUT—Read our bibles- that is WISDOM and knowledge to live a good life and be blessed!! Now days I still read historical fiction and some Psychological thrillers but I like to read books that grow my my knowledge of the Lord! There are so many good books and studies! But nothing can replace the scriptures!! Read them, know them, and live them! You will have a thirst for the Lord, that overflows in every part of your life!! Hallelujah!! We praise you Lord for your Goodness! So you should listen to “The Goodness of God” today! We did the Cee Winans version in Jail ministry this past week. I prefer the Jennifer Johnson version, so I don’t blow a vocal chord. It is a song that I usually sing in my mind before bed.
I love you Lord, for your Mercy never fails me, All my days, I’ve been held in Your hands
From the moment that I wake up
Until I lay my head
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God!
And all my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
We leave later today for a long 19 hour drive straight through to go for 3 weeks back home to see all our family and friends. Please pray for safe travels (and calmness). I will still be here every morning though!
❤️
Your goodness is running ♂️ after me.
Another song suggestions
“Awe of You” by Cain
Sorry for double post!
Thank you for mentioning this song, “Awe of You”! I’d never heard it before, I love it! ❤️
Praying for safe travels, dear sister! ❤️
I can attest to the tricep sagging…lol! And I’ve worked out since I was 19. Balance in evrything.
~
Prayers sweet Rhonda for your travels.
Yep, I never thought I would get here! (laughing face). It is good to take care of our body though, of course!!
Thank you for your prayers sweet friend.
Praying for safe travels Rhonda and that you have a wonderful time!
“The Goodness of God” is one click away on my phone. I play it all the time, especially at night when I cannot sleep. I also started a “God moments” list where I have seen God in my day. Prayers for safe travels.
❤️ praying for this long drive, so long. Grace for your back to endure well. I hope you have internet access to study and comment daily still. Hugs sister.
Hmm. I thought I replied this morning. Guess I forgot after mentioning you in my comment. Praying the travel is going well! ❤

Father draw my heart and mind more deeply into Jesus every day. In Jesus mighty name, Amen
Understanding and knowledge of both the Father and Christ, which reveals the good stuff, the “treasures of wisdom and knowledge” — woohoo!
.
I encourage you to read further in this chapter, at least through v 10. Here, I’ll help you :)
.
4 Now this I say lest anyone should deceive you with persuasive words. 5 For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.
6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.
8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. 9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.
.
An old Pentecostal hymn has been popping into my mind the past few days, Keep on the Firing Line (Bessie F Hatcher, 1915) – I enjoyed the Statler Brothers version this morning. Be alert, prepared and aware, sisters.
.
B – thank you for sharing the update on this young couple and their new baby. Praying for them in this tough journey, that hearts would be saved, his body healed, for wisdom and rest with their little one.
Thank you- thank you for your help and encouragement to read further on to vs 10 and adding the song suggestion -pushing us to go deeper!
