Day 13

Grace Day

from the 1 & 2 Peter reading plan

Galatians 3:27

BY She Reads Truth

Use this day to pray, rest, and reflect on this week’s reading, giving thanks for the grace that is ours in Christ.

For those of you who were baptized into Christ have been clothed with Christ. There is no Jew or Greek, slave or free, male and female; since you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, heirs according to the promise.
Galatians 3:27–29

Can i please ask for prayer, for my family and myself. I’ve been battling stage 4 cancer for almost 2.5 years and feel that my time is now definitely short, my husband will take this so hard and i pray for his strength. Thank you for your prayers.

    Dear Father,
I lift these many women and their varied needs before You. NOTHING is too hard for You. Cover them in Your armor Lord. May the shield of faith block all the evil sent their way, may they yield their swords as needed. Cover their minds with the helmet of salvation. Their hearts with the breastplate of righteousness, their feet with peace, and their core with Your belt of truth. Thank you for your plan for their lives and for the opportunity to lift our needs. Bless and keep Father, as only you are able. Amen.

Prayers needed for healing. I’ve been diagnosed with C. diff (a very contagious and potentially deadly) infection and have been put out of work for the next two weeks. I only have 3 days of sick leave to apply to this situation. Please pray I get healed fast. It’s lonely being isolated and I miss/need work. I’m also scared that I have a resistant case of C. diff that won’t go away or comes back.

Reflecting back this week- (My first week of She Reads Truth). It could not have come at a better time. It has been 13 years March 1 since I lost my son Tyler. I have endured tremendous suffering and physical pain. I thought I would never be at peace again. But at last I have peace, understanding and hope And I am anxious to do good & live in gods GRACE.

1 Peter 4:1-11 was the most profound verse for me. I did not handle my sons death with grace or understanding, I was angry and hurt and walked away from God for 8 years. Then one day I sat in a parking lot at a gas station I told god I could no longer follow this path and I needed his help and I needed someone in my life to get me back on track. 5 years later I am here with someone in my life that led me back to god and his love. And I am thankful.

Our God is faithful, and even though you walked away from Him during your painful loss, He held you in the palm of His loving hand and never took his eye off of you! You are greatly loved and as a sister in Christ I am so glad for you that you found your way back and are experiencing His peace and his love!

It’s raining here and I’m training for a half marathon. I’m training with junior high kids from the school I work at. I’m un able to meet with them this morning. So all alone I go. But I know I’m not alone as I put on my Jesus music and go

I belong to Christ! Thank you all for praying yesterday. All went as well as it could in court. I was strengthened by everyone’s prayers. I go back May 17. There’s some things that need to take place before that date so please continue to pray.

Thank you Lord that you took me in, that you chose me even in my sin. Trusting God in the midst of a busy time of the semester…I applied to 7 internships recently, and I have an interview with one of my top choices tomorrow! It is with Clearwater Marine Aquarium (from the Dolphin Tale movies if you’ve seen those)! I’m so excited and also nervous because I really want this, and I want to do my absolute best. But, I have to trust that even if I don’t get the internship, God will work everything out for good. He has a plan. Prayers appreciated for the interview tomorrow! It’s at 12:30pm EST. Love you all, so incredibly thankful for this community! :)

    1. Mari V says:

Oh young Sarah D. A mothers prayer goes out to you. I will be praying for that interview tomorrow (9:30 pst is your 12:30 est) that if it’s meant for you to have it it will be yours. I totally know that movie because I have kids. My kids are now older but we watch that movie on my workplace
