Day 6

Grace Day

from the Luke reading plan

Psalm 91:2–4

BY She Reads Truth

Use this day to pray, rest, and reflect on this week’s reading, giving thanks for the grace that is ours in Christ.

I will say concerning the Lord, who is my refuge and my fortress,
my God in whom I trust:
He himself will rescue you from the bird trap,
from the destructive plague.
He will cover you with his feathers;
you will take refuge under his wings.
His faithfulness will be a protective shield.

—Psalm 91:2–4

    In the midst of the unknown of what the future holds (currently unemployed, applying for grad school, finding a new job, etc.), this verse is what I needed to hear this morning. Resting in Him and remembering that He is my refuge and my fortress.

    I’m a day late posting. Have been grounded with back spasms. Praying for all who have posted here. How privileged to lift you all in prayer, regardless of our physical distance. There are no boundaries with prayer. May God meet all you needs to abundance, to overflowing. May you know that all that is from His hand has purpose and that He loves you more than you could know. Regardless of your circumstance, He is there and will walk you through it.

    ‘His faithfulness will be a protective shield’ from my grace-hating heart. He will protect me from the voice that says I’m not enough and I need to work harder, change this,change that, be better.

    You’re welcome, Pia! I Love how the Lord reveals patterns in Scripture and how Scripture interprets Scripture. There is so much to discover and learn. Our Savior and Lord is amazing!!!
