His hand is on us. He shows us. He prepares many rooms. He gives us visions. He gives eternal life. He is the light. His blood cleanses us. He honors confession.

I love the idea of walking in the light. God is all that is good and faithful and just and we can ALWAYS run to him- he will never turn us away

  7. Sharon Ide says:

God is light. In Him is no darkness at all and he is just and righteous. Yet he is also faithful to forgive any who come to confess and trust in the Lord Jesus’s righteousness. That the holy God is also ready to forgive in perfect righteousness is astounding.

7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.”
What an amazing promise for those who love the Lord and look to Him for salvation!!

  13. Macy Earley says:

I have just started today. This is my goal. I need to study God’s Word more and the Scripture from I John was exactly what I needed to hear today!!

    1. AnnieB says:

So wonderful Macy! So glad you are here with us! The Lord will surely show Himself to you through His mighty Word!

  14. Suzi says:

We are sinners – but because of what Jesus has done for us, we’ve been set free!

  15. AnnieB says:

Today a comment from last year really opened my eyes! She quoted Heb 11;6 … for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.– I just posted a few days ago that i had struggled with the verse. But NOW i really see it! It is like Psalm 37:4 which says “delight in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart”!! If I delight innTHE LORD then He is desire of my heart- and I will be given more of HIM. And Heb 11:6 now I see- is just like it. If i seek HIM then the reward is to find what i seek- not riches or health or easy life. The reward IS HIM! Like Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Moses. They all heard God, talked with and met with God! I know this comment is kind of a few days late- but i hope it encourages you to post! Someone’s comment from a year ago helped me resolve a scripture i’ve struggled with for years! God is amazing! His puzzle pieces coming together – in His time!

    1. Victoria McLeod says:

Praise God! I read the comments everyday looking for more insight into what I’ve just read and I am so thankful that so many smart women are apart of this community!

  16. Rainna says:

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

  17. Theresa says:

Some readings are more difficult than others. It’s okay to not always “connect” to a reading. The New Testament is easier for me to apply. I often struggle with the Old Testament readings, but overall I’ve learned so much from it-it lays the foundation of God’s enduring love and how he relentlessly seeks our hearts. It also shows us just how deeply we needed and still need Jesus and the gift of the Holy Spirit. “..he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”-Hebrews 11:6 Keep seeking, and consider praying to the Holy Spirit to guide you through each days message. Praying for you!

  18. Lala says:

I am just starting my journey of Scripture reading, and today is a struggle. Today I know I should feel more, and gosh there’s even another reading, but all I can see and feel are the measurements and the look of this place of the Lord. I don’t know who else reads through the comments, but if you too are struggling, pray. There’s a reason His words are sticking. At least, I hope so. I pray so.

    1. Emily says:

I relate to this as well. Thank you for the encouragement to pray and I will pray for you! I KNOW God has amazing things in store for in this journey with Him! We just need to have Faith and trust to know He is moving in our lives even if we can see it just yet.

    2. Clare says:

Lala, yes today’s reading was definitely a struggle for me as well. I’m only a few weeks into this year long journey of reading through the Bible and have really been loving it, but today was tough. I’ll be praying for you!

  19. Sarah Davis says:

    Great tip Lorie!!!

  20. Lorie says:

I’m also almost all the way through. I have loved this app and being in gods word every day! May we carry it on year after year! Y’all should check out the app scripture typer- it helps you memorize the word which God has laid on my heart to do as well. It’s been great!

    1. Leah S says:

      Thanks for the tip Lorie!!

  21. Bella Mokeba says:

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
This kind of love CANNOT be found apart from Christ but can only be found in Christ and in knowing him. The world does not know true love lest they know the true God. Faithful and just. Our only Sovereign as it says in the book of Jude

  22. Leah S says:

5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
I love this very. There’s many references to darkness in the bible and it’s so comforting to remember that God has no part in that. He is light, and we can choose to walk in the light with him..because of his grace.

    1. Lauren S says:

      Amen, Leah

  23. MarmeeCotton says:

1 John1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

  24. Madie Hybels says:

I have almost completed a month of the bible in 365 days and I must say it has stirred something in me. I feel a lightness and a brightness to life. I am thankful and grateful for our Lord and Savior each day. Bless this app!

    1. Kara says:

Congratulations Madie! This hasn’t been the easiest month of readings either. I’m about six months in and have felt the same fruits in my life.

    2. MarmeeCotton says:

Well done Madie! Scripture reading is amazing in many many ways! I am sure it has caused a stir in those around you also. True fact is that even if you did this for twenty plus years there would be new and wonderful results! Be encouraged!

    3. Leah S says:

Yeah! I’m almost through the year, and I remember the transformation that started in my heart. And then it wasn’t about finishing the year..it became about wanting to do this year after year (like what Marmee said). I can’t wait to see and learn how God’s word continues to have influence on my life.
