You did it! If you haven’t quite finished yet, take this day to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord.
For God who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of God’s glory in the face of Jesus Christ.

If one thinks of or is in darkness and sees light, I think it automatically insights hope. Because of Jesus, and all He has done for us we should be the light, shine, radiate, and be bold for all to see. If we read in vs. 7 “But we have this treasure in jars of clay….” I don’t think its a stretch to say the light we have is a treasure to be shared not to keep to ourselves. Heavenly Father, help me to be a bright and shining light for you. Help me to be bold, steadfast, courageous, genuine and authentic in bringing honor and glory to your name. Amen
Radiate the glory of God! He is the One that has shown us in our own hearts to give the Light of knowledge that comes from Jesus Christ!!
We studied “the meaning of the glory of God” in our Bible study this week. Here are some findings:
In theology, the glory of God is the visible manifestation of His infinite beauty, majesty, and moral perfection. It represents the sum of all His divine attributes—like holiness, love, power, and justice—radiating outward for creation to witness and revere. (Got Questions)
How It Is Revealed
The glory of God is made known in several ways:
* Creation: The natural world serves as a canvas declaring His attributes. As Psalm 19:1 states, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.”
* Jesus Christ: For Christians, Jesus represents the pinnacle and fullest expression of God’s glory in human form. John 1:14 describes this: “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son.”
* Humanity: Humans were created in the image of God to reflect His glory to the rest of the world. This is done by acting justly, loving mercy, and honoring God with one’s life.
* Because God’s glory is the ultimate source of supreme worth, acknowledging, praising, and reflecting it is considered the highest purpose of human existence.
May our lives reflect “the glory of God”.

Keep shining the light of God’s Glory! Thought this was a good analogy from Enduring Word Commentary about sharing that light: “Imagine a man in a sunny room who enjoys the sunshine so much he wants to keep it all to himself. He says, “I’ll shut the curtains so that none of this light gets out!” and puts himself back into darkness. When we try to hoard up the light within ourselves, we will certainly lose it.”

THANK YOU again, SRT STAFF and SHES for this beautiful community for study, reflection, and prayer!

Since we are closing out our “flyover of the OT” as KELLY so aptly named it ☺, I am sharing one of my favorite verses along with previous verses for context. Looking forward to studying NT wuth y’all!
.
MICAH 6:6-8 NLT
What can we bring to the Lord?
Should we bring him burnt offerings?
Should we bow before God Most High
with offerings of yearling calves?
7 Should we offer him thousands of rams
and ten thousand rivers of olive oil?
Should we sacrifice our firstborn children
to pay for our sins?
8 No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good,
and this is what he requires of you:
to do what is right, to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with your God.
.
2 Corinthians 4:6 NLT
For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.

Thankful for the OT flyover.
Brought to mind the song Ancient Words sung by Michael W. Smith
Lyrics
Holy words long preserved
for our walk in this world,
They resound with God’s own heart
Oh, let the Ancient words impart.
Words of Life, words of Hope
Give us strength, help us cope
In this world, where e’er we roam
Ancient words will guide us Home.
.
Chorus:
Ancient words ever true
Changing me, and changing you.
We have come with open hearts
Oh let the ancient words impart.
.
Holy words of our Faith
Handed down to this age.
Came to us through sacrifice
Oh heed the faithful words of Christ.
Holy words long preserved
For our walk in this world.
They resound with God’s own heart
Oh let the ancient words impart.
Chorus
Songwriter: Lynn Deshazo
Thank you, Kelly, for sharing this beautifully appropriate song! I don’t remember hearing it before. ❤
Ohhh….i love this song and we sang it just a few weeks ago at church. :)
Amen
Thank you SRT for this Old Testament study and to all you ladies for your commentary that so many times carries me through the day♥️
Wonderful study. Super excited to start NY!
I enjoyed it as well. Great opportunity to read books and verses I know. And I bunch I’ve not read before.
One of my favorite phrases to use in many verbiages “light in the darkness,” “be the Light” “light always penetrates the dark.”
And yep…it was the last line of my “tribute” last night!!
Good morning my beautiful She’s!! Oh how ya’ll have held me up the last 2 weeks. I was able to write something up, well, 2 write-ups. It was titled Fierce Love. It was talking about the fierce love that I saw there in the aftermath at the hospital when Sav was on life support in my sister and family, Friends that came to help, the church bringing food. Even when Sav’s bf that has caused so much distress (kicking her away the night before and day of) came to the hospital with a gf of Sav’s…my sister was a beautiful vessel of mercy and grace, and even grabbed the girls arms and told her she could still chose a different path. It was amazing. So in my speech I also talked about the fierce love of those that drove over 7 hours to come for 1 or 2 days just to drive back. Many over 10 hours. That’s fierce love like our Sav had. Then I told them God has a fierce love for us. He wants to call out to him in our troubles and sorrows. I said that if we find our identity in the world we will never find it. But we can take this tragedy and turn to him for comfort and peace and to shine our light for others!
I didn’t cry, I was strong in voice and sincere…ALL God and your prayers.
I talked to a few of Savannah’s friends that came afterwards, and one said that she felt such a connection to me and reminded her of Sav. I said, yep, she was my mini-me. And I continued to tell the group that I too, lived in “that” world…and it was a slow pit I slid down..But I changed direction. She asked for my phone number and text me last night. Another one I talked to too, that had come to the hospital. I encouraged her again…that she can stop, and got her phone number as well. Thank you Lord.
We played a very poignant song I wanted to share for ya’ll to hear-
“Dear God, I’m tired of trying” Benson Boone.
All of this gives me more passion and fire to keep my butterflies from going back to their old life. I had several messages from them of prayers which is so special. Shalan even videoed me yesterday morning and shared her love and hugs. We have to keep showing Fierce Love of Jesus, never growing tired or weary. One life we can help change. But most likely…God will give us a whole field to harvest and it brings a joy like nothing else. Yes, some hard too, but that is worth it.
Again I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your comments and prayers, and many texts as well from ya’ll. If you can lift up our morning here as everyone will come here before they head back out. We want to keep shining!
This study I loved the first time through, and it was equally as good this time. Thank you SRT that keeps me anchored every day, through the storms and the sunny days!
♥️♥️♥️
Rhonda, what beautiful words you shared yesterday. It is a testament to the work God has been doing in your life and we have been able to witness as you share here. May the light you shared yesterday continue to touch those who attended Sav’s memorial.
God is so amazing and on the move using Savannah’s situation to help turn other lives around. I am grateful to God that your speech went well and He held you up and equipped you! Well done dear Rhonda! Thank you for sharing and inspiring others here. ♥️
Thank you Lord for hearing and answering our prayers for Rhonda and her family. You are good and your mercy endures forever. ❤️
That is such a testimony, Rhonda! Prayers for safe travel for all returning home and for your sister once she is left without all the family support close by.
Thank you for sharing! I knew you would nail it- no way not to with all the prayers! ☺ ❤
Love this so much! I pray that much fruit will come from the seeds you so faithfully planted, and for all of you who loved Savannah as you grieve ❤️
Praise God for answered prayers. He is moving! Thanks for shining so brightly for HIM!!

Some further study on 2 Corinthians 4:6…
“Paul has been defending himself from allegations of practicing falseness with the Corinthians.”
.
“Paul describes the gospel as the “light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” In the previous chapter, Paul discussed God’s glory reflected in the face of Moses. As a reflection, that glory began to fade as soon as Moses left the presence of the Lord. The glory shining from the face of Christ, though, never fades. He is the source of the light. To see and know His glory is to share in God’s glory for eternity. “Light” is a common theme in the Bible. This was the metaphor used by the Hebrew thinkers to represent everything good and valuable. It’s especially tied to the idea of knowledge and guidance, since the people of Israel were uniquely gifted with a revelation from God (Exodus 20:1–20).”
.
“Paul also adds a detail which is crucial to the gospel: the idea of God giving mankind a person, rather than an idea, as our salvation. The light, knowledge, and glory are reflected “in the face” of Christ. Rather than man being assigned virtues, or work, God intended us to seek a relationship with His Son.”
(from Bible Ref)
.
Praise God for shining the light in our hearts – giving us the opportunity to receive and know Christ and to make Him known.
.
I pray that I would be bold in sharing my faith and the gospel of Christ. That I would help to spread the light of Christ.

Happy Saturday She’s!

You ARE spreading the light of Christ! Prayers for that light to draw many to the church you serve.

Wonderful study. I loved seeing all the Bible book single verses line up in the back of our workbook to tell a single narrative
First thing first.. Thank you my people at SRT! Thank you all for your company these past 6 weeks, and what company!
The old testament has parts in in it i would rather avoid, but you know what, it was safe to approach those, knowing Gid had a hand in these studies, so, praise GOD, and thank you ALL for easing the way.
Looking forward to the New Testament with you.
Much love,❤️

Whoo..God is so good!
@KELLY NEO, felt to tell you, Abbi, called yesterday to let me she has finished her 4th year at dental school with flying colours, and she wanted to thank me, for my helping her get on this journey, isn’t that wonderful!
I had tears! such a small part, and yet after her parents she called me!
Hod is faithful! Amen.❤️
Love that!! Praise the Lord Tina! I try to remember to thank the people that helped in my journey with the Lord! It blesses them immensely!
So thankful the Lord helped you to help her navigate her rough patch. And that she recognizes the gift. May she learn to follow your example and lean on Jesus.
❤❤❤
Loved this reading plan. Seeing how all the books connect is amazing. All the different authors and times yet the SAME GOD
2 Corinthians 4:6
For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. NKJV
.
What a privilege and a blessing that the LORD God, Creator of the universe (including our own selves!), that He loves us. And loved us enough since forever to sacrifice His only Son Jesus for our sins, and then took the extra step of giving our hearts the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God, Jesus, who is the Light of the world.
.
Whoop worthy, ain’t that right KELLY (NEO)? ❤️ let’s let the Light shine in our lives each day.
.
Praying for all hearts and minds that have been blinded by lies, that they would be opened to the truth of Jesus.
.
BG verse Jeremiah 32:17
.
‘Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.
.
The chorus, Ah, Lord God, by Don Moen immediately came to mind.
.
Ah, Lord God, Thou has made the heavens
And the earth by thy great power
Ah, Lord God, Thou has made the heavens
And the earth by Thine outstretched arm
.
Nothing is too difficult for Thee
Nothing is too difficult for Thee
Great and mighty God
Great in counsel and mighty in deed
Nothing, nothing, absolutely nothing
Nothing is too difficult for Thee
.

My thoughts went to How Great Thou Art as I pondered these past weeks of study. Similar thought. ☺ ❤
How Great Thou Art is one I’ve memorized (not hard after singing it in services all my life…lol). Especially love it as it speaks of the nature I so much appreciate since I have more time to notice now, and also the Gospel proclaimed!
❤❤❤
