Awesome! I appreciate your blog post to this matter. It has been insightful. my blog: maple syrup

  2. Meagan says:

It's amazing what great timing this is. These last couple of weeks I've been worrying about everything. School, money, friendships, relationships. Why am I worrying about these things? God has a plan for everything!!!

  3. enriraser says:

I like it; short of love.

  4. I just stumbled upon this community of women and am looking forward to what’s ahead!

I am such a worrier about work, relationships, deadlines, just about everything. Two things stood out to me: just like how birds focus on gathering food day by day, not storing things for the future, I should take things day by day ethic Gods good provisions. Just for today! Also, worry is not constructive!! At all!! I think I’ve let my mind dwell on those “worry issues” and think if I let my heart get all worked up over them, that will help the situation. But it doesn’t add a single hour or benefit!!

Grateful for these lessons, hearing from this community of support, it seriously came at the perfect time!

  5. I am new to #shereadstruth but I know God showed this to me as I entered a very difficult time. He knew I would need a strong Christian community as well as reminders to be immersed in his word. The first devotional was EXAcTLY what I needed. I don’t believe in coincidence- I believe in God’s will and He knows what I need and just need to trust in him always

  6. Bindu says:

Wow!! The ideas that God puts into our hearts and the fruit they bear!! I want to thank all of you who obediently made shereadstruth a reality. I have been looking for a good Bible reading plan for a while now but hadn't found anything. I had heard about youversion but stumbling upon this site brought clarity on how to use it! And now I am following with community!! What struck me from some of the comments is that worry is generational. I have a daughter and chronic worry is something I DO NOT want to pass on to her. Trusting God to help me in the journey to complete surrender.

  7. L*Marie says:

This was certainly a good lesson for me! I worry a lot- and I think it stems from a past full of complicated family issues. I'm a "fixer;" or at least I try to be. I always want to fix every ones problems and get so frustrated when I can't. A little over a year ago I lost my father to suicide- I have never experienced such grief, pain, and frustration in my life. I tried my best to fix him, and when I couldn't I blamed myself for his death. Now I worry about losing other loved ones in horrifying ways, never really knowing what tomorrow might bring. I love the quote, "Don't borrow trouble from tomorrow," or as Matthew 6:34 puts it, "Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Each day is also filled with blessings as well though! My focus needs to be appreciating the beautiful and wondrous gift of life that God bestows upon me each day, to remember that He has my life and the lives of my loved ones in His hands, and that worrying makes me more unhappy than simply taking a deep breath (sigh) and letting Him have control.

  8. It's so friggin hard to not worry about every little thing for me. I hate it because I find something that's wrong with my life and OBSESS over it instead of doing what I really need to do. Pray. Trust in God.

There is a balance, though. At some point I do need to make a decision about whatever problem I'm facing. But I NEED to go to the Lord first. First.

  9. I decided to start today and I am so glad I did! I am a huge worrier and about to get married, and this was exactly what I needed to read today!!!

  10. RunSingTeach says:

I'm just joining in a few days late and will be catching up. I worry most about money and being overweight. I am still pulling out of the pit of financial ruin from a divorce. I am a former Ironman triathlete who has gained 20 pounds, lost all her speed, and feels terrible physically. On a deeper level, as an educator, I worry that I am not making a difference. I used to teach classes on a regular schedule but am no longer in the classroom (I work with teachers). I feel useless and have not made good connections to kids this year.

But Jesus makes it so clear doesn't he? He tells us not to worry yet our human nature fights us into doing so. How do we break this cycle?

  11. Jennifer Nelson says:

"Can anyone of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?" Perfect words for my worry-wart heart to meditate on. <3

  12. Rachel Anne says:

I feel as though I worry because deep down I'm afraid. Apparently I'm afraid of the blessings I could receive from letting God handle things as well as the valleys I may have to endure along the way.

  13. Beth says:

I love this new plan even more than the Soul Detox – I am SUCH a worrier, and I do the bad thing of keeping it more or less to myself – NOT HEALTHY! This is going to be soooo good for me. It's good to Let Go and Let God!

  14. Lisa says:

I am so thankful I was led to this site. This is just what I have been looking for. My own church hasn’t offered anything like this for women and I have been very frustrated by it. I am joining up a few days late so I plan to play catch up today. Thank you!

  15. Erica C. says:

I love the text on the side that reads, "Friend, I don't know what you are facing or what lies ahead in your path. But I know that we serve a God who effortlessly created the world in six days and still knows how many hairs you have on your head." Clinging to this truth today!

  16. Rachel says:

I really love this! I've been so worried about some life issues going on lately, and this is exactly what I needed to hear from God today. I'm a few days behind, but I'm so excited to have an online community of women doing this together!

  17. Christen DeGonzague says:

    Hello!

I'm new to She Reads Truth and getting caught up on this plan!

I'm not good at sharing, but I want to work on that…

I have a lot of worries right now. My husband and I are divorcing and we're now in the process of moving out, and I'm moving in with my family. I'm bipolar, and my episodes have been extremely severe and I'm worried about the change of environment triggering something unpleasant. I went to talk to them today about the specifics and they were arguing with each other so much over nothing that we really couldn't discuss much. So I'm really concerned about that. I'm also concerned about my condition and the fact that my doctor has added a new medication. I'm worried, but hopeful.

My best friend told me that maybe the situation with living with my parents could be a positive, as it could motivate me to make further decisions quicker, and I think he's right.

    Thanks for listening!!

    Christen :>

    1. Jenn Nelson says:

Sending extra special prayers for you! I think your friend might be on the right track! Sometimes these stresses can be motivators! Try your best to focus on where you want to be and see the positive in a difficult situation. <3

    2. RunSingTeach says:

      Christen,

I completely understand your struggles. I too went through a divorce a few years ago and am on medication. Take advantage of the time with your family to let others care for you. Tell them that you need time and a space to lay your head. The rest of it will work itself out. Take as much time as you need and don't jump back in the world until you are ready. Trust in HIS divine hand.

      S

  18. Brook says:

I realized that I worry because I'm ashamed about the source of my worry. I'm ashamed that I've put myself in the situation (financial) and don't want God to have to clean up my mess. Reading and taking notes helped me realize that if I'm ashamed of it, I need to knock it off. I do know that God has a plan for me and will provide for me but I have to do some work, too.

  19. Stephanie says:

Oh how I love Christian community!

  20. Erica says:

    Hey all,
I'm new here and just starting on this plan. I feel like this really speaks to what's going on my life right now. I'm in the middle of looking for a more permanent job and several weeks ago I was really stressed out to the point of it being on my mind from the moment I woke up until the moment I went to sleep. And then finally I realized the only thing I was accomplishing was making my life miserable. So now I'm just trusting that God will put me where He wants me and at the best possible time. There's still a lot of uncertainty in my life, but it's a huge load off my shoulders to not be worrying about it constantly.

  21. Nikrose says:

Hi lovely ladies! Do you mean I am not the only person who worries endlessly about big things and little things alike? There is more than one anxiety girl in this world? I think it is so wonderful that we are all creating a consciousness of “let go and let God” together. I know if I spent as much time praying as I did worrying my relationship with God would be unbreakable. I also know that it is a sin to worry instead of trusting God. So my goal today is to be like the birds who follow God’s will instead of fighting it with their own anxieties.

  22. Krista says:

Thank you for bringing this group of Christians together! I am really excited about this reading plan! I am a person full of anxiety and worry…it's so exhausting to feel this way…to ask myself everyday what am I going to worry about today. I should be asking myself what will God show me today, what will He teach me today? I have found that the days I feel connected with Him are days I have little to no anxiety! It's nice knowing I am not alone.

  23. Caroline says:

I'm totally new to this, so glad I stumbled across a link. Reading the devotional I was thinking "oh, I don't worry that much" but reading the verse really brought it home. Just what I needed to hear recently.

  24. Sarah S. says:

So very thankful to have found this community of strong Christian women! Jeremiah 29:11 was on my heart yesterday, and I see that it's part of this plan. It was fate that I found it.

I've been so anxious this week, which I know means that I'm straying from God. When I'm in constant contact with Him, I don't worry. I don't need to worry. I'm getting caught up in earthly THINGS and PEOPLE who are taking my focus away from HIM. I need to surrender this worry and rejoice in all my blessings.

  25. ksluiter says:

This is a great plan…I have an anxiety disorder, so it's very hard for me to determine worry from concern. needless fretting from healthy planning ahead. I SO need this.

  26. Jen says:

I found this funny little picture (http://www.polyvore.com/anxiety_girl/thing?id=39934119) of Anxiety Girl. I laughed at it at first, but then I realized that it was me. Not so funny now. I have it up in my office, but I think I will put underneath it "Don't borrow trouble from tomorrow".

Why do I worry so much? Honestly, the things I worry about I figure God can't control (which is STUPID, I know), but In my head I can't see how he could be in control if I don't get things done – but realized He has always given me the time the next day to get it done, with time to spare.
    God is good.

  27. Kimberly says:

I am worrier by nature – and I learned it from my mother, who learned it from her mother. I do not want to pass on my worrying nature to my daughter. Moreover, I do not want others to look at me and think that my GOD is not big enough for me to trust. I committ today all of my worries – big and small into His Hands. I am going to trust that my Heavenly Father will take care of me!

  28. Tina says:

Seems it is natural to be a worrier. Seems to come with the territory. But when I read those verses today and the devo it really hit home. What do we gain by worrying? For me it is only anxiety and low self esteem. Not the way God intends me to live my life. If I can just focus on my energy on the positives. If I can pray in times of worry instead of stewing on it. If I can face a situation head on with God. Good reminders today.

  29. Charlie says:

So excited for this new study! Worry is my middle name…but not anymore! So excited to do this with everyone!

  30. Amy says:

Worry used to be my middle name. Sometimes still is! It’s a nasty habit to get into and super hard not to fall into that trap again. But once you can learn to “Let go and let God”, you can breathe a sigh of relief. He is always nearby saying “Don’t worry. I’ve got this”.

  31. Love & Zest says:

By worrying I am not trusting God, and I don't like the thought of that at all. I recognize I cannot deny this reality.. and that I must daily surrender my earthly fears that lead to anxiety and worry.

  32. Jessica says:

This plan is perfect for me right now. I have major issues with just letting go because I'm worried that things won't turn out they way I think they should. It's not about me though. It's about Him. I want to truly surrender and let my life be as He needs it to be. I know that starting to read the Bible every day is a good place to start. I pray that we can all let go of our worries and trust in God completely.

  33. Amanda says:

I am so thankful that I stumbled across this blog yesterday and am able to start this new devotional with you. I am a worrier – I worry about everything and anything. I feel like I have wasted the past year, at least, worrying about my struggle with infertility. This was definitely what was needed in my life right now.

  34. jenna says:

if someone tallied up all the time i spent worrying each day and presented it to me, i'm sure i'd be horrified. it's exhausting. i've noticed how much lately i've been stressing out about wearing the perfect outfit to every occasion, worrying if my things are nicer than or less nice as someone else's. this was such a great and timely reminder to slow down and trust in His plan.

  35. Deborahruth says:

We just moved to a new town to start our first job as pastors (both my husband and I) and it is hard not to worry that our ministry will fail or that our kids won’t thrive here (one is 2 and one is 6 weeks). But I am praying and trusting God.

Thank you for this community of sisters here at she reads truth.

    1. Carey Dunlop says:

We just did the same thing a few months ago and I’ve been worried ever since. Worried about how far we are from family, whether I’ll have friends, if the kids will adjust, if a couple of young adults will be accepted by this older community. For me it’s a daily prayer asking God to remind me that He is the one who called us here and He is the one who will provide all my family needs. I’m good at worrying but know too that I’m also learning to be better at trusting. Wil be praying for you, your husband and your kiddos.

  36. Alice Harper says:

I'm new to #shereadstruth and I am so excited to be a part. Just did my first devotional. So thankful the word is living and active! In the mist of a very small medical scare this week, my worry and anxiety became huge! I am committing this scripture to memory.

  37. Kim B. says:

I LOVE the plans that YouVersion offers! Such a GREAT way to start my day :) Totally jumped on this & looking forward to being a part of this community!

  38. lisabethjean says:

    I.am.a.worrier.
    I am the daughter of a worrier, I am a granddaughter of a worrier…
I am worried that I am creating worriers out of my children.
I know I'm supposed to surrender to the Father, but I'm worried He won't take care of things the way I like.
    How silly is that?!
I love what the author of this devotional said: "But I know that we serve a God who effortlessly created the world in six days and still knows how many hairs you have on your head."

<<sigh>> oh! to rest in that knowledge…

    1. I can so relate to this! It's the biggest challenge to just stop the worrying! It has sadly become normal…but God can help us fix it. :-)

  39. tonners62 says:

As my family heads into a time of transition over the next couple of months, I plan to read and meditate on these words (along with today's verses from Matthew 6) over and over and over again …

"Worry is really just a smaller way to say we don't know if God will come through. It's our inability to trust Him to do what He says He will do, which is to make all things work for the good of those who love him (Romans 8:28)."

  40. Kristen S. says:

Definitely what I needed to hear today! I am such a worrier and just this morning I was worrying about normal household stuff and other things family members are going through and then I read this… So glad I am doing this I NEED it!!!

  41. Kristin says:

Just what I needed to hear right now. This year has been full of tremendous blessings, but also tremendous uncertainty in other areas. So glad to be reminded that he knows what I need.

  42. Amber says:

Worry confuses me. It’s because of worry that I’m a “doer not a stewer” but I’m miserable when I’m worried. Too much worry, and lack of worry for that matter, is paralyzing and can justify inaction. It seems like a catch 22 for me.

  43. Elise Dear says:

My husband often makes me sit down with this scripture and a cup of tea and read it over and over again. I have it memorized by now, but when I need it most, I have to sit down and read the words carefully. Those words bring peace and hope. I sit and breathe and hope. With every breath, hope.

  44. Jennie says:

It's so wonderful how God knows exactly what you need. Talking to my Mom today about how frustrated I am with the pace that life is moving. So glad to be grounded in patience.
