[Together as a She Reads Truth community, we are reading through Galatians. Sign up for the reading plan here!]
In this final chapter of Galatians, Paul is telling the church at Galatia (and us, too!) how a church can work in harmony together – to live and walk in the fruit of the Spirit. Go ahead, underline his exhortations. There are at least six in verses 1-10. What sticks out to you?
Practically all of the instructions are for community/church life and the mission of spreading the gospel to others. But for you sisters who may not be in church or plugged into a living community, there are many crucial applications here for you too, including the fact that to follow the Bible’s teaching, one cannot be disconnected from a church community. The Christian life is personal but not private. It is to be shared with others in every way. One of the healthiest things we can do sometimes is put down our Bible for a minute to go do what the Bible calls us to do!
Go, sisters! Boast in the work of the cross in your life! Share the freedeom to which you are an heir – a daughter! Love one another well. Live in community. DO God’s Word.
Join us tomorrow as we begin our next study together!!
