Day 21

Weekly Truth

from the Exodus reading plan

Exodus 15:1-3

BY She Reads Truth

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry His Word with us wherever we go.

We are continuing to memorize Exodus 15:1–3 by adding the beginning of verse 2, where Israel worships the Lord as their deliverer.

1 I will sing to the LORD,
for he is highly exalted;
he has thrown the horse
and its rider into the sea.
2 The LORD is my strength and my song;
he has become my salvation.
This is my God, and I will praise him,
my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
3 The LORD is a warrior;
the LORD is his name.
—Exodus 15:1–3

    There have been SOOOOO many times throughout my life, especially my adult life, “2 The LORD is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation.” has come true. This is another verse I will be adding to my mirror or frig. My life, as I’m sure many of yours, feels like a roller coaster at times but I KNOW I CAN ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS count on God and Christ to get me through.
    Dear Lord, I lay on You all my burdens and cares, give You all my sorrows and grief. I praise You and Your Son and the Holy Spirit. I know You are always there for me to turn to. I rejoice in knowing this. Amen.
    Be blessed and give your cares and burdens to God.

    So grateful to our God!

    MICHELLE PATIRE – I used the lyrics of Katy Nicole’s song, “ In Jesus Name, God of Possible” to pray over you this morning. I am wrestling through an issue and I am asking God for a resolution. I’m beginning to understand God is less interested in the details of the decisions that need to be made and more interested in working on my heart. A resource that has been very helpful for me in dealing with the pressures of relationships is Dr Henry Cloud, specifically Boundaries. He shares a lot of info for free on Instagram as well as Facebook in addition to very helpful courses he offers.

    Praying for you during this season, Michelle, and for you to have wisdom and patience. It can be so hard in a situation like this. ♥️

    Michelle – it’s not trivial to feel as you do, it’s respectful. You are at a different place in your life, having been on your own it sounds like, so noticing things comes natural to you. Your siblings might not be there yet and may not ever be. I would feel the same way, that everyone needs to pitch in; but have they pitched in before? Maybe nothing has changed for them except an additional person is in the house yet who seems willing to do the work regardless ;). Maybe He wants you to do your devotional time 1st at all costs….and it will be difficult for a time! Your parents play a role here also, and if they have been fine with it before then just try to breathe and tell yourself this season He has you in is a short one – maybe you won’t ‘see’ the clutter so much ;)

    Amen! Happy Sunday!

    I know this may seem trivial, but I want to ask for prayers while I live at my parent’s house. I have prayed this before. I’ve been back here since 2020- and I know it’s just a season- but it can be really hard. I am almost 30. The Lord has told me to stay here until it’s time for me to move. I know that it’s not time yet. My siblings who live here are 19 and 24. Every morning, I find myself picking up after them bc they aren’t very cleanly. My dad goes to work early so I’m usually the first one up to notice everything. I’m just frustrated at their lack of care or responsibility for themselves or this house. It gets in the way of my Bible and prayer time. God has been speaking to me about not letting anything come between my relationship with each one of them…but it is really hard not to get upset when everyday I’m playing maid or mom, but I’m just the older sister. I know I’m just feeling emotional, probably, but I could use the prayers for wisdom and patience!

  8. Kelly (NEO) says:

    Psalm 138:1-3
    “1 I will give you thanks with all my heart; I will sing your praise before the heavenly beings.

    2 I will bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name for your constant love and truth.

    You have exalted your name and your promise above everything else.

    3 On the day I called, you answered me; you increased strength within me.”

    Enjoy this day that the Lord has made!
