Day 21

Weekly Truth

from the Deuteronomy reading plan

Deuteronomy 6:8-9

BY She Reads Truth

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry His Word with us wherever we go.

This week, we will continue to memorize the Shema by adding verses 8 and 9. Revisit these verses daily and practice them out loud. Spend some time reviewing the entire passage (Dt 6:4–9) each day to seal these verses into your heart and mind.

4 Listen, Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. 5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. 6 These words that I am giving you today are to be in your heart. 7 Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Bind them as a sign on your hand and let them be a symbol on your forehead. 9 Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your city gates.

Scripture in every room of our house too. I love, love, love the SRT cards. I save all the old ones and pull out the corresponding cards for my other Bible studies too.

Hey Ladies! I haven’t commented before but felt led to today. Regarding having God’s word in our homes, a relative of mine who had a house built had friends and family come when the studs were put up to literally write verses on the boards framing the house. Their house is quite literally framed with the word of God. I thought that was a wonderful way to demonstrate how much they rely on God’s word and His truth to surround them. Have a blessed Sunday.

Thank you Maura. I definitely can feel everyone’s prayers. I am in very minimal pain.

I need to be a better example to my children. I need to literally “lower-my- voice”. I don’t always want to be shouting across the house. Most times I don’t even hear myself. And most times I’m not necessarily saying something bad, I’m just loud. And then being lowered causes tension. May I hide God‘s word in my heart so that I can be a better example to my children. Even though they’re older

Thank you so much Kelly. I am being well taken care of. My two children have stepped up to the plate. My mom as well.
