Day 35

Weekly Truth

John 14:7

BY She Reads Truth

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the gospel with us wherever we go.

This week we will memorize Jesus’s statement of his connection to the Father.

“If you know me, you will also know my Father. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”
—John 14:7

I can go straight to Jesus! I don’t need a mediator.

So reading on further in John 14, Jesus is talking in particular to Philip and in general to all the disciples, and goes on to say in verse 11 – 15 “11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves. 12 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. 13 Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. 15 If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” This is what I want to believe, this is what I believe. I believe God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Lord your are the One and Only and Your love endures forever and ever. Happy Sunday all and God bless all of you my sisters in Christ.

How often I’ve heard folks smugly say “If there is a god, no one could know him anyway because he’s god.” BUT JESUS. Jesus blows their theory out of the water. Look at Jesus. Listen to Jesus. He is God, in the flesh. How wonderful that we don’t have to look far.
