Day 14

Weekly Truth

Jeremiah 15:16

BY She Reads Truth

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the gospel with us wherever we go.

This week we will memorize Jeremiah 15:16, Jeremiah’s meditation on God’s words during his prayer for vengeance.

Your words became a delight to me
and the joy of my heart,
for I bear your name,
LORD God of Armies.
—Jeremiah 15:16b

Just a friendly note, unfortunately when I use these images as lock screens, I can’t seen the time on my phone because it’s black on black…just wanted to let you all know in case it can be expanded to some white area at the top to show the time (for iPhone users)! :)

    1. Luanne Todd says:

In the settings when you change the image there is a button you can slide “dark appearance dims wallpaper”. If you slide that, it fixes the issue on iPhones.

    2. Paola Espinoza says:

You can also edit the image and just with a marker tool, white out a spot in the too so you can see the time :)

Though I now struggle memorizing scripture, I am so thankful for these memory verses and the cards from the book help me to see them often! Thank you SRT!

Dear Heavenly Father, may Your Word become a delight to me and the greatest joy of my heart. I thank You that I can read Your Word openly and remind myself there are many who cannot. Dearest Daddy, remind me not to take my blessings for granted. Remind me to shine Your words in this dark world. Remind me to repent. Remind me of Your holy suffering in this lenten season. May gratitude grow and shine in shine in me. Thank You, thank You, my Lord and brother.

Who doesn’t need a little more delight and joy in their life? Dive into the Word! Its promises are breathtaking. And when life is difficult, we have the God of Angel Armies leading the way. Yes, dive into the Word. The abundant life is found within its pages.

Do I say the same as Jeremiah?

Are God’s words are “a delight to me and the joy of my heart”?

May God’s words be more to me than an interesting read, a motivation thought, or a comfort when needed.
May God’s words truly be a delight and the joy of my heart.

      Amen!!
